Twisted Sugar is my favorite cookie ever. I love that fresh lime juice on the cookie that really gives it a burst of bright flavor. The drive-thru is nice and convenient. I've had some of the drinks but not frequently enough to remember what any are, but I've liked all of the drinks I've tried. I go for the more flavored water types since there's more than enough sugar in the cookie already. Got a 6 pack for a game night and tried several others (COOKIES & CREAM,CHOCOLATE CHIP, LEMON RASPBERRY SUGAR, SALTED CARAMEL SUGAR, SUGARDOODLE) and we liked all of them. Cookies and cream, lemon raspberry sugar, and salted caramel were the biggest hits. Unfortunately on that 6 pack order which I got through doordash, I'd also orded a single Twisted Sugar which I never received, but doordash did refund it. read more

Came in at 8:40 PM last night, fully aware that you close at 9:00 PM. Apparently, that was 20 minutes too early. The second we walked in, the employee's reaction made it very clear that we were not exactly welcome. We weren't greeted or asked what we'd like. Instead, we were immediately told, "Just so you know, our soda machine is off." I'm sorry, but... isn't soda kind of the whole point of Twisted Sugar? We asked if we could still get a soda, and another employee said they could turn the machine back on. The first employee then acted incredibly inconvenienced that we would actually like to order something while they were still open. The attitude was basically, "Fine, I guess we can turn it back on for you." At that point, my boyfriend and I were so uncomfortable with how irritated she seemed that we decided it wasn't worth ordering anything and just left. I completely understand wanting to get home at the end of a shift. What I don't understand is making paying customers feel like an inconvenience for walking in 20 minutes before your posted closing time. If you don't want customers coming in after 8:30, maybe consider changing the hours instead of making customers feel guilty for following the hours you've posted. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable--we literally just wanted a soda and a cookie. Apparently, that was a lot to ask at 8:40 PM. Hopefully management sees this and reminds employees that "closing at 9" means being open and willing to serve customers until 9, not silently counting down the minutes and making people feel bad for walking through the door. Swig's down the street. Keep driving !! read more

I get the exact same drink every time, and their guy Hyrum makes it to perfection. He's a drink wizard, and I always hope he's the one making my drink when I go. Everyone else is very friendly too, and I'm never disappointed. But dang. He's got the skills to pay the bills. Thanks for what you do! read more

Cookies are beautiful and apparently delicious, but don't try to order online or call the Cottonwood Heights store to try preordering. They don't have a phone that works and should maybe consider disabling their order online button for the CH store so customers don't waste time entering an order and all their info then not be able to 'complete your order'. I wasted a good 20 min trying different browsers, checking my info to see what I had done wrong, still could t order. So I went into the store only to find out that location's website online ordering doesn't work at all and they don't currently even have a phone. Very frustrating experience! read more

The first time I tried Twisted Sugar, I drove a long way, encountered unhelpful and unenthusiastic employees, and felt like the cookies were just OK. Not a great experience for me. Then someone brought some Twisted Sugar cookies in to work, and I enjoyed them immensely. I guess I chose the wrong ones before. So when I saw that a Twisted Sugar location was open much closer to me, I decided to give it another go. I went at 2:30pm on a weekday, and it was surprisingly busy. I'll be honest that I find the cookie selection overwhelming, but the case is helpful for a visual, and I guess the benefit is that there's something for everyone! I got an Oreo cookie and a Twisted Sugar (I love coconut). I also recreated the Texas Tab I get from Swig (DDP, SF vanilla, coconut creamer), and they did a really good job! I was super happy with my soda. The cookies were both really good! The caramel drizzle on the Oreo cookie was yummy. And you can't go wrong with coconut lime, of course. In retrospect, I wish I had tried a peanut butter based cookie rather than two sugar-based cookies. The Reese's peanut butter cup was one of their cookies of the month, but it didn't have a label on it in the case, so I didn't know what it was. Next time! There's also a note on the menu to "ask about secret menu items." I didn't see that until after I ordered and paid. Learn from me, friends. Head's up: getting in and out of here is a bit of an ordeal. It's a one-way situation, and the way out is through the drive-thru. You will either have to wait it out, or go the wrong way out the entrance to leave faster. read more

I honestly really really wanted to like this place. This was my second time there, and my last. The first time I was pretty disappointed. I got a selection of 4 cookies. Chocolate chip, oatmeal chocolate chip, sugar doodle, and the lemon raspberry sugar. The chocolate chip cookie happen to be the worst chocolate chip cookie I have ever tasted. It was like 2 inches tall, dry, and flavorless. I took a bite of it and it basically crumbled all over. The sugar doodle is ruined with the thick sugary frosting. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is as thin as they can come. It might as well be a sugar cracker. You can't even taste the oatmeal, because it's over powered by sugar. I took a little bite of the lemon raspberry sugar and ended up throwing it away. Tonight I thought I would try it again because I was craving cookies. I knew for sure I shouldn't get the chocolate chip or the lemon raspberry sugar. So I went with two oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and the sugar doodle. Once again, I am disappointed. My only question, and this is a for real question..... is anyone tasting these cookies before they sell them. I realize the name is twisted Sugar. But your cookies literally taste like sugar. It overpowers the other ingredients that make each cookie unique. If you want a real great cookie, travel 20 minutes north to RubySnap. I'm sorry :( bad just bad. They don't even look delicious in the box. read more

Twisted Sugar offers the greatest selection of cookies and drinks of any cookie shop I've seen in Utah (and there are MANY of them). I'm not joking when I say there are over a dozen flavors to choose from compared to the 2-8 Chip, Crumbl, and Goodly Cookies offer each week. I enjoyed having a wider selection, and our family selected a variety of flavors to sample. This week's special was a sugar cookie with raspberry cream cheese frosting and salted pretzels, which was amazing (10/10 would recommend). I'd give the standard chocolate chip cookies a 7/10 -- better than Crumbl, not as good as Chip. read more

They do the mixed soda thing well and I like that they have zero sugar options. For sodas alone I'd say 5 stars. But if you're going for cookies, they are not the best cookie joint in town. Overly sweet, if you have the palate of a 6 year old sugar fiend they may do you just fine. 3 stars for the cookies. Service is prompt and friendly. And the inside is cute and Instagramable. read more

Omwow! Had a vet appointment this morning and finally decided to try Twisted Sugar. Yikes! Much better than other competitors that crumble in comparison. The banana cream pie and Samoa are out of this world! So far that's all we've tried of the dozen or so we picked up. BUT, being that you're in front of a veterinary clinic, you really need some doggie cookies! read more

My friend had recommended this cookie shop (she lives in Ogden) and the CH location was the only location near me during Covid. I was so excited to try it and I was so excited. I want to go back and try all the flavors, but my favorite so far has been the biscoff. I also love that they have Gluten Free options now too (only the white, sugar cookie flavors have GF options currently). They also have soda mixer options as well (those aren't really my jam, but it satisfies my husband's cravings). My coworkers gave me a gift card for my birthday last year, so I'll be going back to try more! read more

Wanted to order over the phone or online. Phone was disconnected and it's not possible to order 50 mini cookies online. My husband went in to order them first thing in the morning and they said they wouldn't be ready until the next day which I understand if you can order them on the phone. But they ended up making it work to pick them up at the end of the day. They were very cute and tasted great. They need phone ordering that works! read more

Twisted Sugar has some amazing cookies, and even if I only have a few bites of each cookie, I don't feel like I have just eaten like three sticks of butter, like you may feel after eating at some other cookie shops around town. I have had cookies from here that have been amazing, but my last experience was a little weird. They told me the cookies were cold because they were made yesterday as their baker got covid. Hmmm. I guess it is ok to eat these. They still taste good. read more

I got here at 8:40 and they boarded the drive thru windows and didnt acknowledge us when we drove past. its supposed to be closed at 9.

Never heard of this place before. My friends and I stopped in on a whim and we really enjoyed the cookies. The prices are pretty great considering what other similar places are charging. Some weren't super sweet while others were definitely sweeter but the sugar cookie (base) itself was very enjoyable. The inside was quaint but cute, they have a small drive through. The guy working was nice and working hard alone serving us and the people in said drive through. read more

Person at the drive thru was not friendly. No discount for having my own cup. Much more expensive than the location I usually go to. And my drink wasn't even good. I won't be back to this location. I'll keep going to the Herriman location where everything is awesome. read more

I love the cookies here so this review isn't about the product. Unfortunately customer service throughout our society has gone completely down hill, which is sad because it's important, and this place is no exception. Stopped in tonight to grab a 1/2 dozen cookies. 2 young blonde females were working the store. No one in the drive thru or the store besides me and my 8 year old daughter. Anyway both girls were around the corner by the drive thru window and heard us come in. However they decided to take their own sweet time and continue hanging out without acknowledging our presence. After a few minutes a young blonde girl with greasy hair, parted down the middle walked around the corner, didn't say a word or look at me or my daughter and began typing away on the register. My daughter and I just stood there in silence for 3-4 minutes until I finally asked if she'd like to take our order and if she usually didn't make eye contact nor greet her customers when they come in the store. She simply ignored me and smirked. I ordered my cookies and left in disbelief. On my way out I saw both of these girls laughing through the drive thru window. I would say that the owner needs to spend some time training customer service skills and how to do it with a smile. I get these young kids brains are fried from Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram and all the other nonsense out there but cmon! Plenty of cookie places around, standing out is important. As a business owner this is disheartening to say the least. Even my 8 year has better communication skills. Wow! I'll give this place another shot, hoping the owner/manager sees this and rectifies the issue. read more

IF YOU ARE GULTEN FREE DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! Hello users of Yelp, I have a serious complaint to report. For those of you who are gluten free ( not for a stupid diet, but serious health reasons) I do NOT recommend ever getting their so called gluten free sugar cookies. I was so excited when I found this place and that their menu included gluten free options. The first time I had their cookies I got sick but due to other family members not feeling well either I blamed it on something else rather than the cookies, not to mention that my sister who is also gluten free ( celiac disease ) didn't get sick. So earlier this week for my moms birthday we got some cookies from there. We had a meal that I knew for a fact was 100% gluten free and home cooked, later that night I got really sick and knew it was the cookies. It is extremely frustrating to see restaurants advertising gluten free food options, that ultimately aren't safe for people with Celiac disease to eat. Celiac disease is a serious auto immune disease that seriously affects ones health. It is NOT something to put on your menu unless you are going to take the precautions SERIOUSLY, not cutting corners, sharing cooking space, utensils or any type of cross contamination. I understand not every place has the ability to accommodate to such serious precautions, so if it's something you can't fully provide DONT PROVIDE IT AT ALL. there is a part of the process of being burned by reckless employees and staff that hurts not only someone's feelings but their health as well. I wish restaurants would think more about how serious cutting corners can be read more

I think cookies have taken over the cupcake business. This cookie shop is probably my favorite out of the ones in my area. The biscofff cookie is one of my favorites! One of my favorite things about this cookie shop is they offer soda's as well. So I can get a sweet treat and a refreshment as well. Today we are trying a ginger cookie, Nutella peanut butter, a banana cream cookie. I'm excited for the banana one it's supposed to be a gram cracker cookie. I love gram crackers! Gluten free deliciousness! My son was thrilled to find a GF cookie that tasted almost like shortbread with a great texture and taste. It was my first time and I learned that I choose the cookie base (in this case GF has one kind but there are others non GF) and then pick from a variety of unique flavor frosting combinations. The cookies and frosting weren't too sweet which was perfect but just scrumptious. They also have some yummy sounding drink/soda combinations on the menu that we may try next time. I would recommend picking different toppings and then sharing them so everyone gets to try a few flavors. In this case 4 of us, 4 different cookies and voila we get flavor bonanza! Friendly staff, they also have drive thru here too. Also we definitely want to try the coconut lime next time! read more

Twisted sugar has quickly become my favorite cookie spot! I love all their delicious and creative flavors! My favorite cookies have always been sugar so they took it to the next level by making sugar cookies even better and more unique! The cookies are delicious, and delivery is great but the service provided when dropping in is AWFUL. 4 girls all working at the same time and over 5 min before anyone acknowledged me or the man behind me in line.
