If your wrapper isn't covered in that delicious sauce by the time you're done, you didn't order correctly. One last tip: Johnny's is cash only, so come prepared. Fortunately, I tip for service not for the food. It's not the waitresses fault that the food is awful. Last visit I just wanted something simple, not a lot of food. Ordered Nachos with beef. They beef turned out to be very thin chili sauce, thinner than canned Hormel from my childhood when Dad was struggling to keep us all feed. Terrible taste, about half of the Nachos chips are pieces. Today will be my last visit. Went for breakfast and had French Toast and bacon. Bacon was cooked perfectly. The French toast was served uncooked side up. Seriously, bread dipped in raw egg and didn't touch the grill. Not going back, this was the third strike and I do not believe in self-inflicted pain or salmonella poisoning. Just so this is a total negative review I will say that I've had the lamb and beef gyro, it is actually better than what the authentic Greek restaurant in Warren serves. At least THL uses real tzatziki sauce, instead of substituting ranch dressing that The Plaza uses. There are no good restaurants for 50 radius of Warren or Kane. Just eat at home.

But none of those are why I stop by every time I get Texas hots when I come to Jamestown. It's a local treasure that can't be replicated. As others have mentioned they only have 4 parking spaces out front, but a fairly open lot at the business next door. The inside is fairly small and only has about 6 tables. But there is always the drive thru option and this sloppy food holds up surprisingly well when you get it to go. I do like the sauce here a little better than "the other guy" across town. The fries seem to be a little crispier too. I always get my fries with sauce and cheese and they use white cheese, soooo much better than yellow cheese in my opinion. All in all I split my love for Jamestown Texas hots between this place and the place across town. They both have their perks and I love them both equally. Lol.

I visited Charlie Reidel's in Canandaigua today to purchase my dinner. This visit came two days…read moreafter a similar visit to one of those golden arch restaurants in Farmington where I was disgusted by the condition of the restaurant and the inattentiveness of the staff who spent most of the time chatting with one another while debris and food waste remained piled on the floor. After a ten-minute wait at this "fast food" site, I was out the door for the last time! My faith in the future was at least partially restored when I visited Charlie's. While waiting for my order - taken by a cheerful and engaged worker - I observed the workflow in the restaurant and was astounded by the level of effort and competence that I saw in that short period. Although everyone remained busy taking care of the counters and tables, cleaning, tidying up and refilling dispensers, I noticed one young lady who had clearly mastered the art of multi-tasking. While moving from one end of the counter to another to take care of customers, she grabbed a cloth and wiped down the counters on her way. During a few moments of available time, a broom appeared in her hand and the floor was swept clean. As I was observing, I attempted to identify a manager or supervisor and could not do that. That suggests to me that the culture at Charlie Reidel's has evolved to a point where these dedicated employees take ownership of and pride in their jobs. They don't need managers or supervisors standing over their shoulders to force the work to be done. Oh, the food was delicious too.
