The cool bean swings!! Outside of Twirl

Absolutely must see for any families traveling to Taos!! Such a beautiful children's store! They have a huge assortment of toys for children of all ages! They also have two beautiful play areas for kids! One is inside & air conditioned- which is amazing given how hot it can get here in Taos! The second larger playscape is the outside area where one side is for little tikes (5 and under) and the second larger play structure is for all the kids & those who are kids at heart! This wonderful little store stole a piece of my heart! It's such a beautiful store/ place! I love that it's all Sponsored by donations as well! Definitely a must stop while in this beautiful town!

Great free play place for kids in downtown Taos adjacent to a toy store in what seems to be a historic building. I wish that every toy store would have a playground like this. My toddler was scolded by a shop keeper in a swanky store nearby for touching too many things, so I'm grateful we could come here for him to tire himself out.

Outside, a giant carving is wall sized.

The more you look, the more you see in this fantastical store. My group of grownups had fun just being in all that whimsy. Great detour from the usual tourist attractions, and of course, fabulous shopping for kids.

Do you have kids? Nieces or nephews? Take them here. Spend time here looking for something to get them. Twirl offers far more than basic toys and trinkets. Twirl carries engaging educationalitems that kids will enjoy for hours. I picked up a clever electricity kit using play-doh, modling clay and LED lights to make light up creations. And there was so much more to see. One of the best aspects of Twirl is out the back door. There is a huge, multi-attraction playground good for all age kids. Donations are accepted to maintain the site. We stopped by three times during our visit. It is a valuable asset to the area.

I was unimpressed with this toy store as there was very little in here that seemed locally produced.

I was vacationing in Taos and went to Twirl Toy Store without any kids -- but felt like a kid the entire time. Coolest toy store ever! I'm San Francisco and we don't have a place that has the delight factor that this cute shop has. The experience starts from the outside -- where you're greeted by a ride-on duck. When you enter the store -- you're transported to nether, nether land -- totally sucked in by the classics, the silly, the whimsical. That's another way of saying wooden toys, Lego, fake moustaches, penguin pop-guns, and rainbow wigs. There's something for every kind of kid -- princess types, crafters, geeky science experimenters, builders, and those still breast feeding. And of course toys for nostalgic adults. The shopkeeper was very welcoming. She didn't mind at all when my girlfriends and I HAD TO try on the costumes! Pirate hats, dinosaur heads, rabbit ears, Spartan helmets. We looked so cool. I'm a good auntie and purchased designer bandaids for my nieces. The shopkeeper offered us free kiddie tattoos and most importantly a glass rock so we could throw it into the wishing well before left. The wishing well -- is more like a grotto -- where gnome families reside. I closed my eyes, wished that my now teenage son doesn't get into any car accidents this year, and threw the glass stone into the water. Thank you Twirl Toy Store for an enchanting time.

This place was AWESOME! I loved this multi-roomed toy store with its own killer playground. The prices seemed reasonable and the selection was unreal. They also offer free gift wrap if you so desire. So, so great.

This is a very cool toy store. First of all the selection of toys is great. The toys are top notch, and not just the noise makers that you find in so many different toy stores. We went into the store to find some new toys for 8 month old twins that we know, and we found some great options. The store is beautifully organized by age group, so finding what you are looking for is a breeze. In addition this store really is about the kids. When you walk out the back door, there is the greatest play structure ever. There are also other toys, trikes and more to try out. Out thirteen year old's eyes even grew big when she saw the back yard. If you have a kid somewhere in your life, and you are in the area, stop by and find them something cool.

This place was so cool! The aura is very relaxing and the art within the playground is like no other. We're sad that we don't have anything similar in Albuquerque, so we will have to make the drive back just to visit this place again! We could've spent many more hours in this place. Someone mentioned that it's the best toy store they've ever been to and I'd have to agree!

First, let me say, of any video game store that I have been in in the past couple of years, this staff truly seems to care about customer service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and treated very nicely. They answered all of my questions without hesitation. I was looking for a video game for my husband as a gift, but didnt have a specific one in mind. They assisted me in finding something that he would truly love and I ended up coming home with a game that I had never heard of. It ended up being one of the games that he had been wanting for years. I went back months later, this time with my husband in tow. We were greeted and treated very kindly this time as well. All questions were answered and the staff and my husband engaged in a lively conversation. Upon arriving home, all cartridges were in working condition and clean. 10/10 this place is on my bookmarks and we will keep coming back when we're in town!

A business card was taped to the window so I called the number and it seemed like a personal cell phone. The person I spoke to informed me they would be closed for the next two days so I wasn't able to return to make my purchases. Disappointed and would recommend they post normal hours of operation so customers can plan accordingly.

The following is a letter I recently sent to Juan (one of the owners). I have yet to receive a response. Hello Juan, During our stay in Santa Fe, we visited your shop in March of this year and after viewing a video of how the metal sculptures were made, we ended up purchasing a hanging metal sun sculpture. With the additional cost of shipping, we paid close to $300 for it. Upon receiving it, we noted spots where the surface had been chipped and was missing glaze and coloring. Apparently this was how it was sold as we did not view it close up, but rather, hanging at a distance on the wall. We contacted you and appreciated your prompt handling of the issue in sending us another sculpture (though not quite as appealing as the initial one chosen). What you neglected to mention is that these metal sculptures are not suitable for outdoor hanging in coastal areas ie. damp and salty air climates. We had put the first one up (w/o the rays attached) outside our front door. As you can see in the photos, the beautiful colors on the piece had pretty much faded after barely 2 months exposed to the local weather elements. We had refrained from putting up the replacement sculpture as we weren't sure where I wanted to place it on the outside of the home. But now we have the new one with no safe, outdoor spot to hang it, and no space indoors. I imagine we'll figure something out. So the point of this letter is to inform you about what has unfolded with your product and to encourage you to: 1. Offer to take the sculpture off the wall so the prospective buyer can view it up close and spot any damage or flaws that might preclude them from purchasing it. 2. Make your prospective customers aware of the very possible effect that damp or salt air can have on your sculptures. While some buyers might have an idea about this, many do not. If you bother to take these steps you can save yourself some grief and your customers some disappointment with their purchase(s). A word to the wise ...
