The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. Most groomers do multiple dogs at once--and your dog sits in a cage in the meantime. Not great. Maria is working with just one dog --yours--from start to finish--so it's way less stress for your baby. I should also mention that Maria is the best, kindest, most competent dog groomer in the DMV. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! Not only will your furbaby be gorgeously groomed, you will have the peace of mind of knowing he is being cared for by 1) someone who genuinely loves dogs, and 2) is also incredibly talented and experienced. I texted her even though she was apparently not accepting new clients, and she responded immediately, and had an opening a few days later. Our frightened little girl did very well with Katie, who is now grooming our new Maltese. Katie is completely professional and courteous, extremely accommodating to our schedule, and understanding when emergencies happen. When I realized that our new dog's coat is thicker and coarser than our previous dog's, I asked her to change the cut; Katie responded in a positive manner and understood completely what I was asking for. The employees are professional (on the phone and in person), they send a text reminder before your scheduled appointment, and they've always done a wonderful job cutting my dog's hair (haircuts complete with a colorful bandana). I especially love and appreciate how they have a gated area for dogs to wait in until their owners come pick them up (instead of crating them). Things to bear in mind: -CAN be pricey, honestly though, you get what you pay for in most instances; but their salon services are always booked! When i first started coming here, the owner was great at cutting my poodles' hair. Ever since she left, the new groomers have been not so great. HOWEVER, despite the inconsistency, they are willing to accommodate and learn to cut my poodles' hair the way I like it. I have tried going to other places in NOVA, 6 different groomers to be exact. Everywhere else is worse and they don't know how to cut a standard poodle's hair. I even went to the other Ashburn Belmont Chase Woof Gang location and they gave my dog an ear infection (very untrained groomers there)! I started coming here when my poodles were puppies and because of the owner back then, my dogs dont fear going to the groomers. I have started coming back here now with my nine year old poodles and I think I will not look for other groomers anymore.

Splash N Tails is that! Actually, they aren't just good, they're AMAZING! So good, that one of my cats hisses at the other because they've practically "cleaned his smell off." Takes him about a week to be okay with his brother again. A real hoot! When they show up, they politely knock, have polite conversation, take your kitties to their trucks, and return them very quickly after their service is complete. For my tuxedo cat, I just get his nails clipped, ears cleaned, a quick brush down, and he comes back. For my medium haired domestic, he gets the works! Surprisingly, he strongly dislikes the vacuum in our home but LOVES the machine in the truck that gets ride of his fur. I have no idea why but, I like to think it's the amazing groomers! I will be a continued customer and I recommend other people become a customer. You won't be disappointed. If you have an appointment, something comes up, you can reschedule. Give them prior notice though. Also, if they happen to need to reschedule for any reason, they'll go above and beyond to make sure they can accommodate your schedule.
