While driving to Virginia Beach, we were passing through Rio Grande, Ohio, when we noticed the billboards pointing to Twinkleberries Coffee. From the signs, it looked like a small local business, and we always enjoy supporting local entrepreneurs instead of the big chains, so we decided to stop. What a wonderful surprise! Twinkleberries is a Christian-owned business that shares a positive, uplifting message, something this world desperately needs. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. The staff gave us attentive, personal service. There were already a few customers inside, and shortly after we arrived the shop filled up, which speaks well for this hidden gem. I ordered the Wagyu burger and a chai latte, and both were absolutely marvelous. My wife had the grilled cheese, a peach smoothie, and a London Fog. She has several food allergies and they were very accommodating to her needs. Everything was prepared to perfection and served with a warm smile. If you're passing through the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Great food, delicious drinks, friendly people, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! read more

Stopped here while passing through. Loved the wholesome atmosphere with Scripture verses and references all around. It was refreshing to stop into a coffee shop that isn't 200% woke. I love this place!!! My Zebra and I travel from North Carolina to Indy and Michigan often, and I often drive through this area. I'm so sad that I hadn't found them before now! I stopped for gas, and was JONESING for some good coffee, and found Twinkleberries. The people are awesome and friendly, the coffee is the BOMB! I had to buy 2! We enjoyed this cute coffee shop to and from our trip to New River Gorge. They had many traditional and seasonal drinks to choose from! Nice little hole in the wall coffee shop/bakery with a small food menu. Paninis are nice as is the chicken salad. Decent selection of coffees and teas. Friendly staff. Indoor seating is limited due to the size of the place but they have done pretty well without making the place feel cramped. On the contrary, it feels open and airy while still having sit down accommodation for around 18 people . Single unisex restroom is large and clean and looks friendly to disabilities. read more

On a tour the other day of the town for an interview we made a small coffee stop here. First and foremost the owners are the sweetest people. Just like everyone I've met so far in the gallipolis area, this place just shines bright with good nature and love. The coffee was amazing. My latte was perfect. This is the kind of coffee I wake up to walk down the street from in California and pay 9 dollars for lol But twinkleberries is better! Such a charming little spot that I would make my go to if I were to ever move and work here. The food menu is also so amazing and I wish I knew the last time I was here so I can cop a healthy meal! My loves in life are as follows and the quaint little town of gallipolis has blown my mind with all of them! Amazing coffee made with love. Best coffee in the 25 miles radius. People work here are extremely nice and the store is clean and homey. Oh the cinnamon pecan sticky bun is like the best ... I can eat that all day long. Twinkleberries is a decent sandwich/coffee shop. They do offer a small variety of baked goods(sweets), along with traditional breakfast and lunch sandwiches, fresh made. Plus they offer soups for lunch, which I haven't tried. This location isn't very far from The original BOB EVANS FARMS, not very far off is US 35. read more

Driving back to NC from WGI World Percussion Championships in Dayton, we made a stop for lunch in Rio Grande, OH. We were enchanted by the name of this tiny coffee shop as we drove by and had to stop in. What a great decision! The atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming. The baked goods are from the best local bakeries. And the coffee is a treat for everyone, including coffee snobs like myself. Try the Tanzanian Peaberry pour-over. It is phenomenal. Going from Ohio to West Virginia we stopped halfway at this cafe and surprised how good it was it's in a rather quiet location with a decent vibe I guess. The Food "options" were kinda short in number. the coffee was good, but the substitutes for people who want something other than milk were limited. The place is nice and clean. You feel like you have been welcomed home when you walk into this charming little gem of a coffee shop. Not only were our latte and mocha of the highest quality-the mocha was made with just enough Ghiradelli's to compliment and not over-power the coffee, the homemade, fresh Buckeye scone was so yummy we bought one to go for our granddaughter's birthday breakfast. We will probably walk out with a couple more for her parents and brother. The smells coming from the breakfasts people are ordering make me wish I hadn't had motel Raisin Bran. The attached pizza place is a hotspot so we had no trouble getting on WI-FI. Judy Schrock and her brother opened it in April, 2016 with the support of community leaders who also saw the need for a coffee shop in a college town.
