After we moved in, I found a duct completely disconnected directly above the furnace in our basement causing air to pour out in the mechanical area instead of going upstairs as needed. Norm also did not replace the thermostat wire as required, so the following summer our air conditioner would not work properly. I contacted Norm multiple times, but Vestal Heating and Plumbing did not respond to my requests to fix the issues caused by their poor and incomplete work. I will let you draw your own conclusions about honestly and integrity here. Do yourself a favor, and choose another contractor.

I followed up the text message with additional pictures of more dirt that was discovered when my sister went to the home to conduct a deep cleaning of the kitchen (something that we paid Mountain Aire Cottage Care to do for us). Donna ignored my texts again. I would highly discourage the use of this company should you wish to be treated fairly and to receive quality service. The photos were taken after this company had two attempts to perform the superior cleaning service that they claim to perform. I understand that my sister has been in touch with you regarding our dissatisfaction with the Top to Bottom cleaning that your team performed. I also understand that after the cleaning was performed, she needed to request a return visit to the house for additional cleaning as the stove and refrigerator were not moved and the doors and door frames were still dirty, all item that we discussed on the day we all met at the house. This past weekend, I was back in town to begin painting the house. While preparing to paint, I found the following: Layered dirt on tops of door frames and window frames, meaning it wasn't from settled dust, it was built up over a period of time Dirt and hair on the baseboards Dirt and hair on the radiators Cobwebs in the corners on all of the rooms and on the ceilings in the bedrooms Cobwebs on the windows, in particular the master bathroom window where it was evident that the curtain had not been even moved for the window to be cleaned as cobwebs were attached to the window and curtain. Layered dirt on top of both shower stalls Collection of hair in the corner of the master closet behind fire extinguishers that were in the same place as they were on the day of the walk through To state on your service contract that your goal is your customer's satisfaction but to text my sister that we received fair value for the price we paid is a disconnect. Furthermore, while I agree there will always be "dirt to be found" as you stated in your reply to my sister, the amount of dirt that was found and the ease in which it was is also a disconnect. We do not believe that we received fair value. You are a business owner who needs to stand behind your customer satisfaction goal. You stood in our mother's home-to-be and looked us in the eyes and promised that you would prepare the house to our expectations. The process of moving my mother after my father's recent and sudden passing has been grueling. Needing to debate the level of cleanliness one should expect from hiring professional cleaners is adding to the misery and quite honestly disrespectful. After all, we paid for items that were checked off on the service agreement that were not performed. I am kindly requesting that you reconsider a refund since I had to clean after the two attempts your team made in order to begin the painting process. At this point there is no point in asking you to send people back again as I already cleaned the house to the level of which we all originally agreed upon. Donnas crew has been cleaning for my parents for the last 10 YEARS! They have always been very…read moreaccommodating as far as last minute schedule changes, or adding tasks, always doing extra around the holidays! Over the years there have been different girls coming and each one of them have been very friendly, and knowledgeable about cleaning different surfaces and areas of their home! Donna runs a tight ship! With the onset of Covid they went above and beyond to educate themselves and provide Covid approved cleaning solutions. They clean every 2 weeks all while wearing extra PPE! That alone was such a relief for me! They do for my parents what I cannot do living out of state. Aside from the work done, Mountain Aire Cottage Care provides me with peace of mind, and that alone is worth so much!
