Bottom of silo

Complex play area that the kids absolutely were thrilled with. Many areas to keep the kids focused and engaged for hours. Super impressed by Fort Collins Parks and Rec and this one. Wow, just wow!

What a cool park built right next to a high school. Right outside fossil ridge high school is this big park with so many cool things. The twin silos it's named for are the landmark and contain a huge slide that goes down probably 3 floors. It's fun for adults - I can't even imagine being a kid and having this! Just be wary of the shocks you'll get since the air is so dry and you'll generate a bunch of static electricity on the way down :) Besides the slides, there is a huge playground fort area with multiple levels and bridges etc for kids to play on as well as adults. Around the park there is a stream which you can step into and a bike racing track. The views of the mountains are also nice. This park really has all the good stuff.

What a beautiful, clean and welcoming park! Came for our dog training with Tammy our little Pilot. Dogs loved it but I must say The kids park was great - I can see why the children were having so much fun.

This is a really nice park! My husband and daughter were very excited to see and try out the slide that is connecting the silos. In one silo there is a part where kids climb which also connects to a staircase, but the steps are a little steep. It was pretty busy when we arrived since it is spring break. When I looked towards the zip line ride there was a bunch of kids trying to get on. Plenty of different slides, swings, and bridges. I feel like the playground is better suited for older elementary kids since I felt a little nervous with my 4 year old - definitely had to keep a closer eye than usual on her. I feel like you could have a nice picnic out here. Saw a few people jogging, walking dogs, and some kids riding bikes and skating. Plenty of parking, especially on the high school's side of the park.

This is probably one of the coolest and cleanest playgrounds and parks that myself and my children have had the opportunity to spend time. We recently visited this unique playground near Fort Collins Colorado on a recent family trip. Our original intention was to spend the whole day in Fort Collins exploring all it has to offer but unfortunately the Wildfires nearby created smoke that was almost unbearable, therefore we cut out visit short. However the short time we had playing made it well worth the visit. My kids had a blast and frankly It made me jealous. In fact I wished I was a kid again just so I could play on this awesome playground. From Zip-line to Curley Slides this playground had it all. Well done to the people of Fort Collins for creating such a great experience for your residence. As A side not I geeked out slightly at the coolness of the Hops being grown in the community garden area. Fort Collins is synonymous for its breweries and that was a fun nod to the areas well known industry.

A wonderfully laid out park/playground. Very clean with lots of amazing equipment. My little one had an amazing time.

Amazing park, playground and dog park!!! Even in the rain we had a great time. Beautifully landscaped with walkways, water features, playground, community garden, covered picnic areas, large grass areas, and lounge chair patio!!! Dog park is large, enclosed, gravel-covered (which is nice instead of dirt) with logs, covered picnic areas and a small dog enclosed area. There were a few bowls for water, with a water fountain at the front gate, equipped for people and dogs, including one to refill your water bottle. There is also an adjacent area for small dogs. The playground is amazing!!! Wonderful play area with a huge slide in the Twin Silos. Swings for all ages and abilities (including a handicap accessible swing), climbing area, covered picnic areas. The ground around play area is the soft rubber surface. Bathrooms directly across from play area.

Huge slide

This is the best park I have ever been to. No wonder it has 5 stars! There are dirt ramp bike paths, a huge creative kids playground, a river filled with crawfish, and so much more! I don't know who's idea it was to build a park like this but they deserve some sort of award!! Thank you for sharing this space with us!!

I'm amazed at the thought that goes into safety, fun and comfort for kids' parks, AND happy to say, not a single blazing-hot metal slide in sight! This is the new Twin Silo Park in Fort Collins. The designers pretty much thought of everything; this is truly a "cherry-on-top" kind of park in the Southeast part of Fort Collins!

Old Town Square - A Christmas dream

I stumbled upon it a few months back while looking for a place to have breakfast with my daughter (ended up at Silver Grill Cafe). After breakfast, we decided to wander around a bit and check out the area. The square is beautiful! In the middle, you'll find a stage that is home to a lot of live music in the evenings, and a fountain/splash pad for the kids (or adults and some dogs I've seen), to run and splash around. They have a piano for the public to play, a fountain to make wishes in, and some interesting local art. There is plenty of seating to sit and watch the kid's play or have a small bite to eat. The fountain/stage are surrounded by a large number of local boutique shops and delicious restaurants. A bonus, a Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop! It is a great area to spend a warm day. At Christmas, all of downtown and old town are lit up with thousands of lights in the trees, on the buildings, etc. It is absolutely stunning! Back to my earlier comment that it truly feels like a Hallmark Christmas movie. They set up Santa's workshop in the middle of the square for kiddo's to meet him, sit on his lap, and take photos. He was such a kind man and was wonderful with the kids. Right next to this, is a skating rink. This unfortunately was disappointing. It's not ice, it's some plastic stuff that is physically impossible to actually skate on. Honestly it felt like a lawsuit waiting to happen with how easy it was to fall. It was uncomfortable and not very fun, we only went two laps and gave up. It was free, so at least we didn't waste any money. It's great for "looks," but don't recommend it. Overall, this is truly one of my favorite places in Fort Collins and I love spending my days here with my daughter.

The water had been up to the rocks near the parking area at the South Bay swim area. In the late summer, it had more of the expected high desert vibe. It's nice that they have a no-wake area for paddle boarders and swimmers. Although it is a reservoir, the ugly wall is not a prominent visual feature like ie: Cherry Creek reservoir. I enjoy how this one is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains. Next time, I am absolutely bringing a paddle board. This time however, I was amused and inspired by one man who was not immediately deterred by the fact that he fell off his again and again. When he finally gave up, he had the same problem with his inner tube. The bathrooms/showers were not disgusting but I wasn't so sure how sanitary those children's diapers were in the water. .

Tons of options for hiking. My only gripe is the paid parking, but that seems typical for the…read morearea. Trails around the reservoir were fun and varied from rocky beaches, to steep grades, to rocks you could boulder or climb. The trails were well kept and they were not crowded. I'll have to check it out on a warmer day. There were a few people doing photo shoots while we were there also.
