This park is nuts (in a good way)! I had no idea what it was like when I initially drove by. To say I was shocked at its size is an understatement. There is so much to do/play on for the kids! While definitely geared more for older kids, my 3 year-old had an absolute blast! The climbing structures are great and even as I wandered around them, I felt super secure. I eventually was comfortable enough letting my daughter play on it alone while I was at the bottom. There are a ton of different size slides for kids of all ages. The zip line is a great addition - only wish there was more than one since the line can be a bit long. There is a large, beautiful lawn to picnic on, play sports, etc. I would say the only downside is that they close the bathrooms from 12pm-1pm due to the high school lunch hour. Which, makes sense, but is still unfortunate. Other than that, this park is amazing and we will certainly be spending a lot of time here. read more

The kids loved this park. There are two silos connected via a slide, large play structures, a zip line type of ride, swings, and even something the kids crawl through that you can rotate while they are inside (a gear and sprocket mechanism is used, powered manually by a disc you turn on the side of the structure). The bathrooms were decent and parking was convenient. In the back, there is running water and there are a few bridges. There was also what looked like a community garden, but it was not being used as there was still snow on the ground. read more

Wow! Found this park from an IG post. This park is awesome! Definitely for the older kids but does have things for toddlers. Slides, swings, nets and ropes! We went there on a Saturday and it was packed! It is probably busy everyday. Wish I lived closer. Wear sunscreen! Haha. read more

What a cool park built right next to a high school. Right outside fossil ridge high school is this big park with so many cool things. The twin silos it's named for are the landmark and contain a huge slide that goes down probably 3 floors. It's fun for adults - I can't even imagine being a kid and having this! Just be wary of the shocks you'll get since the air is so dry and you'll generate a bunch of static electricity on the way down :) Besides the slides, there is a huge playground fort area with multiple levels and bridges etc for kids to play on as well as adults. Around the park there is a stream which you can step into and a bike racing track. The views of the mountains are also nice. This park really has all the good stuff. read more

This is a cute dog park that is close to the twin silos park. There is are 2 separate dog park areas here. one for shy/small dogs and one for others. There is a fountain at the entrance but its currently shut off. There are also dog poop bags at the entrance and trash cans. If you come to utilize the area it is expected that you will pick up after your pup/s. Both dog parks are fenced with chain link fence. Both have some logs in the area and a place to sit and some balls. It is sand and dirt. There are some water bowls available to use that you could pour water in for your dog, if you would like them to have water be sure to bring some. :) The area is made up of sand/dirt. And is extremely busy!!!! If you have dogs that you dont necessarily want to have be in a super busy area this may not be the park for you. read more

This is a really nice park! My husband and daughter were very excited to see and try out the slide that is connecting the silos. In one silo there is a part where kids climb which also connects to a staircase, but the steps are a little steep. It was pretty busy when we arrived since it is spring break. When I looked towards the zip line ride there was a bunch of kids trying to get on. Plenty of different slides, swings, and bridges. I feel like the playground is better suited for older elementary kids since I felt a little nervous with my 4 year old - definitely had to keep a closer eye than usual on her. I feel like you could have a nice picnic out here. Saw a few people jogging, walking dogs, and some kids riding bikes and skating. Plenty of parking, especially on the high school's side of the park. read more

Pretty much the most amazing park ever. EVER. This has something for everyone as long as your kid is 4yrs + Super amazing mazes, rope climbing, awesome slides, zip line, cool climbing structures - you name it. Your kid will be totally physically wiped out playing at this park. Partially to mostly all shaded too!!! We went on a warm summer day and we didn't feel the heat so bad and the kids were able to play all over without feeling too hot or burning in the sun on the play structures. Bathroom, covered tables, big field to run in ........great parking and even a food truck (snow cones the day we went) comes on the weekends. If you are looking for a park that is literally amazing, this place is it. Please take the time to visit this park with your kids. The only negative is that you really have to keep an eye out because there are so many nooks and crannys and changes of height on structures everywhere, its easy to lose sight of your kid if you aren't watching. Not a good place to sit on your phone while your kid plays unless they are 7yrs + and know "stranger danger" read more

This is probably one of the coolest and cleanest playgrounds and parks that myself and my children have had the opportunity to spend time. We recently visited this unique playground near Fort Collins Colorado on a recent family trip. Our original intention was to spend the whole day in Fort Collins exploring all it has to offer but unfortunately the Wildfires nearby created smoke that was almost unbearable, therefore we cut out visit short. However the short time we had playing made it well worth the visit. My kids had a blast and frankly It made me jealous. In fact I wished I was a kid again just so I could play on this awesome playground. From Zip-line to Curley Slides this playground had it all. Well done to the people of Fort Collins for creating such a great experience for your residence. As A side not I geeked out slightly at the coolness of the Hops being grown in the community garden area. Fort Collins is synonymous for its breweries and that was a fun nod to the areas well known industry. read more

Amazing park, playground and dog park!!! Even in the rain we had a great time. Beautifully landscaped with walkways, water features, playground, community garden, covered picnic areas, large grass areas, and lounge chair patio!!! Dog park is large, enclosed, gravel-covered (which is nice instead of dirt) with logs, covered picnic areas and a small dog enclosed area. There were a few bowls for water, with a water fountain at the front gate, equipped for people and dogs, including one to refill your water bottle. There is also an adjacent area for small dogs. The playground is amazing!!! Wonderful play area with a huge slide in the Twin Silos. Swings for all ages and abilities (including a handicap accessible swing), climbing area, covered picnic areas. The ground around play area is the soft rubber surface. Bathrooms directly across from play area. read more

It's a lovely park but there can be issues. We reserved a pavilion with the city for $60 only to find it filled with people who refused to leave! They said they met there every Tuesday without a reservation and had never been asked to leave. We were unable to prove our reservation as the city had not posted it, as promised with any reservation. In their defense, The City of Fort Collins responded quickly and promptly returned our $60. There is also a parking nightmare if any youth athletics are happening. read more

So, Twin Silos has been open for about a year and a half, but I've only recently visited ... I didn't really even mean to go, but I was supposed to be meeting a friend for lunch after she and her daughter finished up at a city event that was being put on in the park. Her daughter just wanted to play at the playground for a bit, so I stopped by the park to meet up with them. I have to say wow. What a unique playground, with the relocated silos repurposed into an amazing slide. "A bit" turned into a long while, so I took a stroll around the western part of the park, with the community garden, orchard, beautiful picnic shelter reminiscent of a farmhouse, and I had to laugh at the deck with loungers but I'll bet in the summer with water flowing in the creek it would be a nice place to relax. The trees in the orchard are still young and I imagine it might be a while before they bear fruit, but I love how the park celebrates an agricultural heritage. I can imagine what a gem it will be for years to come. read more

This park hosts probably the most amazing playground I've ever seen. The barn building provides plenty of shade over most of the equipment while also open on the sides, so even on a hot sunny day it's bearable. The climbing net in the silo to get up to the big slide is adventurous but also safe. Even things like seesaws are much more inventive than typical. And there's a zip line and a crazy corkscrew thing you can spin a kid around in. read more
