Beautiful park and well maintained. My husband and I took our son here on a hot day to play at the splash pad and my son loved it. He barely went on the play structures because he loved the water so much. There is tons of activity for all ages from an open grass lawn, two playgrounds, splash pad, baseball fields., swings, and much more. Bike lockup areas at each smaller area. Few larger open spaces. Picnic or lounging around on the grass. Nice new walking paths. No skating or rollerblading on them though. Nearby dog park that's pretty awesome. Own Yelp listing and everything. Think the kiddie playground is probably the main attraction. Huge slides. Swings. An army of smaller jungle gyms. Veterans memorial adjacent. Interactive displays. Lots to do overall. Schedule your next weekend event here. Bathrooms were clean and kept tidy. Love this park. I take my dog for a walk every day here. Beautiful and family oriented.

Not the best park in the world but we love it just the same. It's one of those places where you know you can't even be objective about because there are so many wonderful memories we've all made here. The environment is so wonderful and beautiful and so charged with wonderful memories that it'll always be so no matter how much time had passed. I bring my kids here on pretty much every major milestone in their lives and it's already become a sort of religious place and they get super sad whenever they don't get to come. This park is great for anyone! There's a playground, furry park, baseball and trails. You can hike and ride on the trail connected to Horsetooth, CSU Stadium and to South FoCo. Lots of this to do here and there parking! read more

The trails are very well maintained, and the fields are certainly not lacking for those looking for some green space to enjoy the afternoon. Holy hell. Colorado has the best parks I've ever seen in the United States. Between this park and the America, the Beautiful park in Colorado Springs, you have two of the most fun-filled spots for a child that you can find anywhere. Best part is they're both free! No admission fee here, folks. This particular park shines for the sheer wealth of options. Water fountains if your child wants to get wet (so bring a bathing suit for that little one), a play fortress of sorts with all types of bridges and ladders and other climbing mechanisms, and a sand area for digging. There are slides and swings and all the stuff you see at a typical park too. It's just great for a child like mine that loves to run everywhere and gets bored rather quickly, plus the padded area underneath the fortress gives some assurance that your child won't be in danger if he/she happens to fall. There are bathrooms open to the public and one can expect to find a ton of children here, all of who are immensely enjoying themselves, so whether you live in Fort Collins or are just visiting, bring your children here to live the good life. read more

This is an awesome park. There is so much to do, for both kids and adults. My recent trips have been with my 5-year old godson, so I'll focus on the kid stuff. The playground is amazing! So many things to play on and big enough that I bet 100 kids (maybe more) could all play at the same time. And, the base of it is a softer, flexible material so when the kids fall (and they will!) it doesn't hurt as bad. I remember when I was a kid playgrounds were on concrete, gravel, or sand. This stuff is much nicer! There are slides, hanging bars, swings, rocks to climb, and lots of other fun things. The one large rock is shaped like a head and if you get close to the nose, you'll hear it snore or sneeze. It's super cool and I've seen it freak out a few very small children. A bit further off from the playground are the giant toes (that go with the sleeping head) that kids can climb on. Bathrooms are also conveniently located to the playground and kept fairly clean for a park. The other section of the park that my godson loves is the skatepark. He rides his bike around and watches the other kids skate. There are a couple of ramps, some banked edges, and then also a drained swimming pool looking thing. The playground and skatepark are where we have spent our many hours, but there are also ball fields (think I remember seeing baseball stuff), lots of grass, and bike paths. Across the street there's also a dog park. And, the whole park is just beautiful, nestled up against the foothills. I have a feeling I'll be here a lot over the coming years and I'm just fine with that! read more

The Spring Canyon Park is nestled right up against the Foothills of Fort Collins. You can go on your bike from the Spring Creek Trail right to the park. For the avid off road biking fan there are numerous obstacles to go on and practice in the park itself and you can then proceed on the rigorous dirt trails that go up towards Horsetooth Reservoir. There is a great playground, water features, green grass, sports fields and so on in this park. I prefer to bike here from the bike trail but you can drive all the way to the end of Horsetooth Road to get here as well! Very nice park! read more

Perhaps the best park ever. Seriously. Lots to explore. A giant you can make sneeze or tickle its toes. Fast slide down a rock climbing area. Cool ropes and ladders to climb. Wide open field for chasing or playing. Sand area with digging tools and a water table. Splash area. Swings. And a mountain view. We stayed a long time, and the adults were just happy to be outside. read more

Great playground that works for the whole family. This playground is easy to find at the end of Horsetooth Rd. It has a large area for bigger kids, with lots of climbing structures, and a smaller area for little kids, with a great sand play area. There are some excellent digging toys, including two built in excavators. The two playgrounds are close, so if you have children of multiple ages, you could sit between and be reasonably close to all play structures. The play area is not fenced in. It's very sunny, but several of the play structures have built in shades. There is a great water/spray feature. The kids can wear a swimsuit and then run through the fountains when they get hot. There is a nice, shaded picnic area and restrooms as well. The restrooms are large, and very family friendly. Each restroom has an adult commode and a child's height commode as well! They seem like they would accommodate someone in a wheelchair, as the rooms are large and have grab bars. The path from the parking lot to the picnic area is level and wheelchair-friendly. There's a lovely porch swing style bench for the grown ups just up from the playground. Wow, I feel so lucky to have found this spot. Thank you, Ft. Collins! read more

I'll start out by saying the park is gorgeous. Lots of parking and amazing play structures. That being said, I only wanted to go to the dog park. I live in Lafayette but my son goes to CSU. I went up to see my son but my other motivation was the dog park as I'm always looking for great off-leash areas Like Elk Meadow. So,I did some research and the doggie park looked great online. The park has dog poop everywhere and I'm not sure why people aren't picking it up. There are plenty of poop bags and trash cans provided. Totally gross. Also, there were a few dogs there that had no business in a dog park. Several vicious German Shepherds whose owners did not seem to notice when their dogs were being aggressive. Play time does not involve dogs yelping in pain and being growled at. Maybe I hit the park on a bad day. I'll give it another shot but I'm wary. Sorry Spring Canyon. As beautiful as you are, you need to train your dog owners to be better citizens. read more

We came here to take some family photos and I was blown away with how pretty this park was. It was huge with so many different things for people to do from biking, a dog park, playgrounds, to running. I really wish I had the time to explore more and go for a run! read more

Excellent park, probably one g the best I have visited. Visited during a road trip today from Massachusetts. Beautiful view, amazing dog park, awesome skate park am very clean public bathrooms. Everyone was friendly and the grounds were immaculate. Would definitely go there again and recommend to others. read more

While i have never actually spent a day here, i bike through it all the time. it's huge! it has a dog park, baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, a playgrund, pavillions, and a skatepark, plus im sure other things like trails and other aspects i havent seen from my bike path. i highly recommend this for families/ppl with dogs and sports fun! read more
