I live around the corner and have come here a number of times. When I first moved here I thought this place was an underrated gem, but now that I have had it 7-8 times it's just ok. The seafood is fresh and the portions are a good size, but every time I go in there it seems to be run by a group of high schoolers... Over the phone orders have been incorrect, the tables are almost always dirty, and I watched the kid at the register bring a piece of fish back to the cook without so much as a glove on his hand... The prices are not cheap either, two seafood dinners (a piece of fish with one side) will run you $50 easy. I get the sense the owner of this location doesn't stop by often to check on how their staff is doing. When I visited recently a half an hour before closing time, the staff seemed irritated that they had to take another order and fire up the grill again...mind you I walked in at 6:30 not 6:50 when they close at 7. My flounder sandwich was large and fresh, but tasted like nothing as if no salt or seasoning was used in the fry batter. My wife said the same about her grilled halibut, fresh but lacking in flavor. All in all it works if you are in a pinch and want some fresh fish, but I would not go out of my way to eat here. read more

Every piece or order of fish that I have had or bought here has been excellent. Every so often they have $1 oysters, and they showed me how to shuck them. The restaurant doesn't have a great ambiance, but it is a fish market. The portions are large and perfectly cooked. My favorite, but only if I am hungry, is the fisherman's platter. Saw all the great reviews on Yelp so decided to try this place out! My husband and I absolutely loved this place. We split a lobster roll with onion rings and some fried clams. We were blown away by quality and freshness of the food, and pleasantly surprised by the amount of lobster on the roll. Also, super casual atmosphere, loved that it wasn't a restaurant where you get waited on but still a nice place to sit. Also loved seeing all the beautiful fresh fish, smelled so fresh and great! Wanted to acknowledge the amazing Red Snapper "sandwich" I had for lunch the other day. I put sandwich in quotes because the piece of fish was so big that it probably could have had 2+ rolls lined up across it. They easily could have cut the fish in half and given me less for my money, but they didn't, they gave me what amounted to a combination fish + chips + sandwich. I thought this was awesome! You see restaurants cutting every corner and pinching every penny these days. This $13 sandwich platter was a tremendous value. The snapper was fresh, perfectly fried still retaining its moisture, with a healthy serving of fries, slaw, and a solid tartar sauce. Living in Massachusetts, I've definitely had my share of lobster rolls. Hot, cold, mayo, no mayo, butter, no butter. Honestly, I love them all. But the lobster roll I had at Twin Seafood Market on Church Street in Concord Massachusetts took the gold medal in my opinion due to the fact the amount of lobster you get is unreal! Sure, they didn't butter their roll but I didn't even miss the butter because the lobster was so good and so decadent. The roll was loaded and piled high with lobster. Usually, I don't like a ton of mayo mixed into the lobster salad because the whole point is to taste the lobster. Sometimes, some places use too much Mayo and it over powers the fresh lobster. But this roll had the perfect balance of creamy mayo and cold chunky lobster. I was full after about half and literally could not stop eating it until it was all gone. Yes, I ate the entire roll and I have regrets. The service is just as good. The guys were all so nice and helpful - very friendly staff! If you don't want to travel into the city (Boston) for your lobster roll, I highly recommend Twin Seafood Market. Even better, they have a HUGE selection of fresh seafood for sale at market price. 50/50 chance that you will be happy with your purchase. We shop here because there is really no other local fish market. This place would probably fail if it had competition. This week we bought salmon and the stuffed shells- big mistake with the shells. As you can see they went right in the trash can. The customer service is constantly bad (think "no soup for you"). This place is absolutely amazing. We came in on Sunday right around 12 and we beat the lunch rush- so many people came in to pick up lunch or eat in and we totally understood why! The food was absolutely amazing. Large portions and good prices. Seafood was fresh and perfectly fried - they also have grilled options too. I was fortunate enough to stumble into Twin Seafood during a very brief trip to West Concord MA. My sister, a former Bostonian, was in from Florida to visit family, and she was intent on eating fresh local seafood every day. This place was the real deal. The lobster roll at market price was 36 dollars. We ended up splitting one, along with the sweet potato fries that we chose as our side. The lobster was very very cold and fresh. Like other patrons, I could really appreciate the lobster's flavor because it was not masked with too much mayo. The round bun it came on was perfect Everything was fresh and bright tasting. I also tasted the clam chowda that my sister bought. It too was excellent. Very very good base: it wasn't gooey or starchy, just very silky, flavorful, and creamy. The clams were tender not chewy, and the potatoes were cut just the right size. They too were not grainy but perfectly smooth. Fries and sweet potato chips are great. by the way, anything you order comes with coleslaw and tartar sauce, which is EXCELLENT. I've been sampling lobster rolls around Boston and couldn't resist but try it here too. Unfortunately, it's my least favorite of all the ones I've tried. On the positive side, it comes with a healthy portion of lobster meat, the largest amount I've seen for a roll under $30. Grilled shrimp salad was outstanding. Jumbo shrimp on a bed of fresh cut romaine topped with a magnificent oil & vinegar dressing containing delicious spices, tomatoes and capers. The clam chowder was the absolute best. The fried clams were out of this world. Spectacular seafood market as well. Joe was a very gracious host. The service was courteous and quick. The ambiance is that of a typical fresh seafood counter that also serves up freshly cooked food. I had the lobster roll. The lobster portion was the most generous of any I've had, with big pieces, but there was too much Mayo. It was quite wet. The brioche bun was toasted, and tasty. The customer service is awful. We realized after placing the order the prices at this location are much higher than the same restaurant in Acton. The manager was rude and condescending and finally honored the price advertised on their own website as if he was doing us a favor. Would not recommend. This is a great seafood place friendly, courteous employees that wear gloves . Nice casual place for dining - in don't have to dress up and good for a lunch -break and never that crowded for sitting areas . I was very happy with all the flat -fish I've purchased salmon and tilapia. The fried clam full -belly lunch platter was excellent tasting and a great deal for $10 bucks to be full for a day . The only thing I was disappointed with was the Cajun crab meat sandwich , way too much Old Bay seasoning did they drop the whole bottle in ? I went here for lunch after a morning visit to Walden pond. I had their lobster roll (16.99) French fries, and clam chowder. The lobster roll was decent, but I've had fresher lobster before. The roll isn't the usual roll, they serve a sandwich roll. The French fries were standard, not soggy. The clam chowder was good but I wish it had more clams and the good stuff. I've always gotten my fresh fish from Twin's which Is always top quality but just recently had my first lunch. Don't know why it took me so long to eat here but it changed my whole lunch world. The blackened swordfish sandwich was probably one of the best I've ever had. They have a huge menu of seafood, sandwiches, fried clams, soups and chowders. I am not a fan of the crab cake because there was more filler than I like ...(i prefer all lump crab meat crabcakes ...from Maryland) but the taste was fine. But for the price ($15) it was pretty good deal. Came on a bed of chopped up lettuce and 2 slices of tomatoes. The crab meat sandwich was full of slivers of crab meat. It was mayo based. It was very good but i wish it had a little bit of celery or some crunch. Came with lettuce and tomato. Overall very enjoyable. A few tables inside of store.
