Twin Sales is located on Brewery Lane where all the craft breweries are located. They are beside Yellow Dog. Their beer are ok to good. Nothing too special. I tried the Passionfruit Hurricane and it was refreshing. Parking can be an issue here. It is not easy to find a parking spot. Everything is made on location. If you like you can buy swags here. We came during Covid times and omg the wait was 30 mins +. Doesn't matter what time of day you show up here, it is always busy on brewery lane. When we do craft beer hopping, this is one of the few that we always go to. For some reason we always start off with Yellow Dog and depending on our mood....that determines where we hop next. They serve different drinks compared to their competitor. Each brewery on Brewery Lane is unique. We will be back for sure. read more

I've never been to any of the breweries along Brewers Row. We decided to check out two while we were in the area, Twin Sails Brewing was one of them. They're right next door to Yellow Dog Brewing. We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon (around 3:00pm). The place was busy but there's tons of seating inside and out on the patio. The patio is beautiful with half a dozen picnic sized tables. We sat outside and bantered with a few loud, intoxicated bros. There's 9 flavours on tap along with one cider (bottle only) and some snacks. They also had some merchandise available (glasses, beer soap, hats and clothing). - Flight ($8.00 for 4) - we went with dat juice pale ale, damn right milkshake IPA, TS x Brewhall hotsnaps and the little things Brett IPA. Our least favourite was the collaboration; too hoppy for us. Brett IPA was the most interesting/unique one; barrel fermented. Had a sour, slight vinegar taste to it. Dat juice is their most well known; light and easy drinking. Decent beers but flavours are geared more towards IPA beer lovers. read more

I went to three breweries on a Port Moody brewery crawl and this was my favourite one, mostly due to the atmosphere. The space was small and surprisingly cozy, despite the giant steel tanks of beer behind the merchandise stand. Kanye, Kendrick, and other hip hop artists boomed from the speakers and there was a Nintendo Switch being set up in the corner. Come early if you want to get a table for a larger group, this small brewery fills up quick. As much as I liked the atmosphere, it's all for nothing if the beer is crap. Luckily, Twin Sails ticks off the boxes in this regard as well. The beers were all pretty decent, with standouts being the Cuppa Cold Brewed Stout, the Imperial Stout with pretzels and peanuts, and the Peach Milkshake IPA. The Cuppa had a strong flavour with all the right notes of coffee seeping into each sip, while the Milkshake IPA managed to sneak a little of a milkshake's creaminess into a great beer. The Imperial Stout was the most chocolatey beer I've ever had, and went well with the saltiness of the pretzels and peanuts. The consensus from the group was mixed, but I was a huge fan. The pricing was fairly standard, and overall, the quality of the multiple flights we purchased met our standards for breweries in the Lower Mainland. I would happily come back to Twin Sails, and would even skip the other breweries in Port Moody and hunker down here for the good vibes. read more

With neighbouring Yellow Dog already a local favourite, this place has a pretty high bar to clear. Fortunately, it delivers. Parking is available in the front, both in the public lot, and along Murray. I was under the impression from my buddy that this place was all pale wheat beers, but it looks like this is no longer the case. Yes the beers are all of German origin, but there are now some dark brews in the mix. The seating area is hipster, with wood and metal tables. Because of the brick wall accents and unfinished ceiling, the place has that "hipster warehouse" feeling, similar to what one would find in East Van. Flights here only contain 3 glasses, which is a shame. Would've liked to try more beer if possible. With that said, the beers here are pretty decent. I'd definitely be back to try some more, and maybe fill up a growler. read more

If you do nothing else on these epic sunny days please go to this patio and kick back a Damn Right brew. I swear it was not a Kraft beer but rather the best mimosa I've ever had but even better than mimosas! There's tons of parking and it's extremely close to the train. Oh and did I mention pet friendly?? Fresh water and shade awaits your furkids on this new picnic style patio. Growlers are also the way to go when you're ready to head out. 1 or 2 litres for your bbq or perfect gifts at a ridiculously reasonable price. Want to try a few beers? Grab a flight and get tasting. Favourite brewery on the "Brewers Row"! Perfect place to come on a sunny summer day. Right across from a great park too. I chose to sit outside to enjoy the sunshine but they have a giant tasting room inside as well. All of their beers are fantastic. The woman working allowed me to sample 3 before I settled on the "Dat Juice" Pale Ale. She was really helpful and friendly and helped walk me through the different options. My Fiance and i moved into the area around July. Just as Parkside was getting ready to open. Going to the local brewers in the evening in the summer was our favorite thing to do. Unfortunately Twin Sails was last on our list because of their limited selection. Back then they were only brewing heffs and pilsners. Now that they got much more experimental and brewing IPAs ( my ideal type) we decided to give it a go. Enjoyed all the beers i had on flight. Seating in the tasting room is a bit limited, but they do have a small space. Service was fast and prompt since it was service at the counter. Twin Sails is definitely one of my favourite breweries in the entire city. The tasting room is right next door to Yellow Dog, and the eastern-most one in the Port Moody row. Their latest line-up is stellar, featuring some of the best beers anywhere. For non-IPA drinkers, there are a few pale ale, pilsner and hefeweizen options, but they sure know how to make a solid IPA, and this is what I'm after. As a regular customer of the other two breweries in Port Moody, I was really excited to try Twin Sails Brewing. I'm not a fan of hoppy beers, but I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of the German-style beers Twin Sails offers. I absolutely love the ambiance of this place. The tasting room is quite large with lots of tables, and it feels very warm and inviting. It's absolutely perfect for enjoying a few beers with friends on a rainy day. For the beer drinkers out there, I tried all four of the current offerings: Pilsner, Hefeweizen, Marzen, and Roggenweizen. Their board only advertises 3 tasters for $5, but you can actually taste all 4 beers for $7. The stand out favorite for me was the Hefeweizen. The flavour was fantastic, I can't say enough good things about it. I was worried that the Roggenweizen would be bitter, but it also had a great flavour for a darker beer. I'm always excited to find a darker beer I can drink! As for the Pilsner and the Marzen, I found them mediocre. They're definitely drinkable, but I found that I've tasted a lot of similar beers before. If you don't drink beer, not to worry! Twin Sails Brewing offers Fentiman's non-alcoholic beverages. I highly recommend the Curiousity Cola. Overall, Twin Sails Brewing is a fantastic addition to the row of breweries in Port Moody. I definitely recommend checking it out. I know I will definitely be back for more Hefeweizen! read more

Twin Sails is a great addition to the burgeoning brewery row in Port Moody and the awesome thing about this new joint is that they feature German beers exclusively. This makes for a nice variety from Yellow Dog (next door & featuring strong west coast brewing styles) and Moody Ales (up the road & doing a lot of interesting, rare & experimental stuff). They have a very nice, spacious tasting room, obviously learning from observation of the other neighbourhood joints which can fill up quickly, and have an interesting mix of beers on offer. Their first brews were: Marzen, Roggenweizen, Hefeweizen & Pilsner. I found all to be a bit on the mild side, which certainly makes them easy sippers. Last time I stopped in for a fill I was told they were on the verge of releasing their new brews and I can't wait to see what's next! The only complaint I can make of this new space is that they only have a few, small electric space heaters so it can be chilly on a cold day and a couple of their counter staff have clearly never pulled pints before (but I assume they will improve quickly with the bustling business that they are doing). Well worth a stop in if you're local or a trip to PoMo if you're not. read more

I always enjoy coming here after spending the day at Rocky Point Park or while brewery hopping in the Port Moody area. This brewery is a nice complement to its next-door neighbour, Yellow Dog. I can't put my finger on why this is but it has a different vibe. Perhaps it is that Yellow Dog has more of a bright, family-friendly, picnic-like feel whereas at Twin Sails, you feel more like you are at a dark, rustic, traditional European pub. I love their German-style beers. There's the semblance that you are drinking traditional beers, again in contrast to the more experimental Yellow Dog beers. I also love their treats. I always grab a sausage from them when I visit - they go down so well with a pint of their Hefeweizen or Dunkel. I believe that their sausages are handmade or, at the very least, locally curated. Nonetheless, to my knowledge, you can't find these sausages at any other brewery. Overall, this is a great place to spend the afternoon or evening while relaxing with friends (or alone). It is definitely worth checking out if you love Port Moody, beer, or just having a good time! read more

Twin Sails Brewing is a craft beer brewery on Brewers' Row in Port Moody. With the completion of the Evergreen Line; paying a visit to Brewers' Row got a whole lot easier. Kids are welcome to come in. They even have a selection of sodas for them! There is also a beautiful park across the street that goes along the water. It's beautiful on a snowy or sunny day. You're welcome to bring your own food. They have Cob's bread, sausages and popcorn available for sale too. Sometimes there are food trucks in front of the brewery. On the weekends it does get busy. The tables tend to be taken. There is tons of standing room if you don't mind that. We also came on a weekday and lucked out with a fairly empty tasting room. No brewery tours available but you can see everything from tasting room. It has an open concept interior design. It cool to be able to see how it's made. Flights are usually served with 3 beers with the last slot for water. We ended up skipping the water and adding an extra taster size glass (4 oz) for $2. In the above photo we tried Two Straws Milkshake IPA, Boombox Crossfader DIPA, Breadwinner Multigrain IPA, and Tone Def Blood Orange DIPA. They have been absolutely killing it with their line up of limited edition experimental beers which usually sell out in a few hours in downtown liquor stores. The downtown liquor store closest to us always sell out the same day they get their shipment! We weren't sure if it was just the hype of it always being sold out that sparked our interest or if it was actually good. When we finally got our hands on our first limited edition beer we were hooked. Now we always communicate with our local liquor stores to see when their Twin Sails shipment comes in to coordinate our visits. They have gone from being one of our least favourite BC brewers to one of our favourites. If you don't want to miss out on the limited release batches pick up a 4 pack at the brewery. You can find information of all their releases at the brewery on social media. The beer usually gets released in the brewery a week before hitting liquor stores so you should not have a problem with getting a pack. These limited edition beers are usually not available for growler refills on the days we've gone but you can drink them on tap in the tasting room. read more

The first Twin Sails brew I tried was the Hefeweizen at Tap & Barrel. I loved it! A refreshing wheat beer with spicy and citrusy flavour. I finally visited Twin Sails brewery a couple of weeks ago. It's conveniently located near Moody Centre Station. Just cut through the parking lot, walk over the bridge, and you're there! It has a cool atmosphere with lots of wood finishes and exposed brick. I chose a flight of beers with the Hefeweizen, Tone Def Blood Orange DIPA, and the Two Straws Milkshake IPA. I would definitely order each of these again. I highly recommend these if you enjoy beer with fruity/citrusy flavours. They release new beers quite often so the menu is always fresh. Check out their Instagram for updates. read more

Of the four micro breweries on Moody this is my favourite. Not for the beer sadly although I'd say it was the best of the bunch with Moody Ales a close second (shame they dropped the cask aged porter) Yellow Dog is OK with Parkside very must in last place by quite a distance. No l like this one for the fresh open feel of the bar and the honest, knowledgable staff. It actually feels like a pub not a bar. Not a TV scene in sight, plenty of wood and a whole open wall onto the world or at least Rocky Park and the ocean inlet that is Port Moody. I love good German Weisebeer so I avoid the wheat beer but the Pilsner is as good as it gets. Unpretentious, clean initial taste with a pleasant after taste and a decent kick. Don't let them serve it to you in a balloon glass though. Way too much surface area, spoils the brew. read more
