It was long overdue that we knocked out some Canadian breweries on my list so it felt quite accomplishing trying out some. For Yellow Dog we had the Chase My Tail Pale Ale which was quite good! Flavor features in this beer are hoppiness, floral and with a clean finish. The beer is smooth and is light bodied. This beer was a good introduction to this brewery and we enjoyed it quite a bit during our stay!

There was a live music performance when we visited. It was a bit too loud for my tastes but it was fun to listen to. I enjoyed the outdoor seating arrangements too as it allowed for my big group to hang out. I also loved their thin crust pizza. It was as thin as you'd hope for and tasty. Good experience overall here. I'd be happy to drop by again and try some different drinks that might be more my speed.

The chips never came so I pointed it out when we got the bill. The server said she forgot about the chips. She came back with a minuscule bag of extremely spicy tortilla chips and said that's all the chips they had. I now understand why the place was empty on a Saturday afternoon. At least the beer was nice, otherwise this would be a 1* review.

Parking is plentiful on St. Johns, as well as the side street. There is a small lot, but it might be part of a patio. There is also a food truck (I imagine rotating) in front. The building is pretty bare bones right now. There is a bar area, 2 seating areas, and a stage for what I assume will be future live music. And of course the patio area in front. The venue was still doing a soft opening as of the time of writing. As they haven't received their flight paddles yet, there were no flights available. I was forced to order 16oz sleeves instead. The taster glasses still say FMF (Fraser Mills Fermentation) on them. At this point, the beers are honestly quite mediocre. Everything was quite bitter despite being non ales, including the "lighter" ones such as the Cerveza and the Citrus IPA. I honestly had a bit of trouble deciding what to order, as nothing really stood out in a good way. The staff were understanding though, which is greatly appreciated. Honestly at this point it might be better to give them a few weeks to work out the kinks.

There's nothing else open around here on the weekends, so this place has the market cornered. This place is in the middle of nowhere. The outside admittedly looks really dumpy. Hopefully they clean that up at some point. With that said, the inside looks pretty awesome. There are a few spots by the bar counter, as well as an upstairs mezzanine. There's even an old school T2 pinball machine. Staff are cheery and helpful. As of the time of writing, they currently can't do flights yet. They have half (207mL, 7oz) and full (414mL, 14oz) pours. Bit of a strange number to be honest. They have 12 brews available, so there is no currently way to efficiently clean out the place. Hopefully they have flights soon. The beers I tried (Young, Wild & Hazy; Pool Side Hefe) were both quite delicious. Solid 4.5 stars (knock off 0.5 for lack of flights). I will be back at some point to try some other beers. Recommended.

The sprouts were delicious. Giselle had the brisket and coleslaw with a side of cornbread. The brisket wasn't as smoky as I thought it should be, but still very good. Their IPA was very good. Not too heavy on the hops, light and fruity taste. I would definitely go back to try some of their other brews and menu items.
