We drove three hours after calling ahead and being told to bring our dog in. She had suddenly lost the use of her hind legs and was crying in pain. The veterinary assistants were compassionate, caring, and treated her with dignity. They deserve our sincere thanks. We waited patiently for over two and a half hours, understanding that emergency hospitals must triage patients. Then a veterinary technician--not a veterinarian--told us they would not be able to see our dog. I pleaded for one thing: if they couldn't treat her, could a veterinarian at least provide enough pain medication to ease her suffering until we could find help elsewhere? The answer was simply no. So we picked up our helpless dog and drove another three hours home while she whimpered and cried in pain the entire way. No family should have to watch an animal they love suffer like that after being told to come in for care. Emergency medicine isn't just about saving lives--it's about relieving suffering. In our case, compassion seemed to end at the front desk. We left feeling abandoned, heartbroken, and utterly disgusted.

Our husky has his pack there and is always excited to see them! We always know he is safe and loved when he is there. I never worry about him when he is there. He is tired from playing. My Bebe came home all pooped out from all the play time and attention and that makes me very happy! I highly recommend this boarding kennel to all animal lovers who want the best for their pets! Northland Boarding was so good about giving me updates on my Bebe when i would call to check on her & they even sent me some pics of her and I could see for myself how happy Bebe was and that also makes me very happy!
