Busy place and I can see why. Make your appointment way in advance for a total grooming. To walk in and get nails clipped, it too just a couple minutes. They are professional and compassionate. The price should be more for what they do, so please compensate with a nice tip. We drove a couple hours heading that way and driving thru. I would plan ahead next time and do a complete grooming. Mr. Bear is 120 pounds of very challenging Mastador (mastiff/Labrador mix) with strange dogs around because his eyesight is failing. We brought our golden retriever in for his annual hair cut. However, when picking our puppy up we couldn't believe how he came out!! Shaved unevenly, we found spots where they had cut his skin while shaving, and just overall a horrendous job!! Would not recommend going here ever!! Recommend against. Didn't even complete appointment. We have a Sheltie who is a little less than 4 years old. He was born deaf and gets very anxious if there is nobody he trusts near him in unfamiliar environments. We spoke with someone when we scheduled the appointment and intentionally scheduled for first thing so one of us could stay with him. Upon arriving on time dogs were already there and were told they might be able to get to him in 3 hours. They put him in a cage which my husband told him wouldn't work. Of course, he panicked. They tried talking to him to calm him. Did they not understand what non-hearing means? There's no way he would have made it 3 hours caged. Took our dog and left. We'll look for a groomer who is a little more understanding of special needs animals. read more

Had my two King Charles Cavaliers that needed grooming badly. Robyn did an awesome Job getting my boy Rolo shaved and handsome again. Alishka his sister is all trimmed and pretty. Alishka can be shy and nervous. When I came to get them they were both happy and calm. Rolo was giving kisses. We are so pleased!! Will be back again soon. read more

After being scratched and clawed for the last time, we decided it was time for our 9 week old kitten to get a manicure. We bought a pair of clippers from petco but were afraid that we would hurt him in the grooming process. We talked it over and then decided that this was a job for a professional as we were very scared of trimming his nails. We called prtco and they informed us that they could not groom cats at that location. They then referred us to bark avenue. We called right away and they were able to trim his nails with no appointment so we brought him down. Our cat was super shaken up by the car ride when we got there. The groomer came right out with a friendly smile and a pair of clippers. She pulled out the clippers and gently clipped all of our cats nails within about a minute. Our kitty was a bit shaken up but seemed to do just fine with the whole experience. The service we revived was fast and friendly. It was very affordable. $6,5 is not a bad price to pay to ensure that your little baby kitten is not hurt during the process of getting his nails trimmed. The place was very clean and organized. There were some very friendly looking pets there that looked like they were about to be groomed. All of the dogs that we saw seemed ok with being there too. We will defiantly be back. Super friendly staff, great job, just a heads up to future customers: they use the chip device for the card reader and that doesn't allow an option to tip. Bark Avenue is a pleasant surprise every time I walk in the door. Although busy, as they obviously should be, the people here know their trade very very well. My dog always comes out looking like a brand new dog! They are kind, considerate, and also offer a nice selection of better dog food. I've always had a good experience with one of the groomers at Bark Avenue. I unfortunately had a horrible experience with the other one this weekend. The woman was unfriendly to begin with, horrible customer service attitude. My dog is very good with getting her nails trimmed, always just holds her paws out and lets the groomer clip away, she is very skiddish on hard floors though. As I proceeded to tell the groomer this, she quickly grabbed the leash in the middle as I was holding onto the end and dragged her across the hard surface floor with my dog adamantly trying to get back to the rug in the entryway. She grabbed my dog by the legs and was forcefully attempting to hold her down on the floor. I had to tell her to let go and say that we were going somewhere else. I was extremely disappointed because we have been going here for years. Unfortunately I will not be returning because of this horrible woman who doesn't listen to her customers whatsoever. So disappointing. read more
