Our septic had backed up and overflowed and after handling all the damage control we needed someone to come and pump. Now, a little background here. I have experience working with contractors and handymen on 2 continents, and I have been fighting the Yelp battle for good service for over a year now, whilst I tried to get my house ready to sell. Also, keep in mind that this was the last week of the year, and most businesses were shutdown for the holidays. That being said, and this is going to sound funny, but it was the people who pumped my septic who gave me the best customer service I've ever received. No joke. Andrea (who handles the appointments over the phone) was warm, personable, and SO very considerate. She said they were pretty well booked, but when I explained my emergency, she somehow managed to fit me in just before the weekend! She kept me updated every step of the way. When Austin (hope I got his name right) arrived, he was the ideal of what everyone who hires a contractor hopes arrives at their home. He was on time, courteous, professional, friendly. He dug up the holes without any complaint. (Which wasn't easy, as I was his fourth customer of the day, and there were roots like you wouldn't believe.) And he chatted with me like we were old friends while he took extra time to rinse out the effluent tank. They really are just a small family, business, I found out, who own the truck and decided to go into this line of work after their own septic 'refunded' on them. TLDR: All in all, DFW Septic did everything right, and I only wish they were in a different line of work, so I could call upon their services more often!

We have used Myrtle Springs Septic for going on 5 years now. They were pretty good when it came to…read morethe monthly inspections but we have some sort of underground issue that they were unable to resolve. We paid for it to be fixed atleast twice but the problem was not resolved mind you, this has been going on for years. I called about 3 weeks ago and told them that the problem still wasn't resolved and that I needed to have someone new come out to try to fix the issue. I did not hear from anyone so I called back last week and was told that someone would call me and noone did. I called again last night and said that it was getting ridiculous only to receive a phone call this morning to say that they are not renewing our contract because we were rude to them. I have not been rude to them. It comes down to this, they don't know how or don't want to do the work to fix the issue. We have paid for this to be fixed twice but it was never resolved. I would look for another company if I were you.

I was told pumping would be about $400 on top of addressing the problem. They came first thing the following morning (7:30am). Marvin pumped only what he needed to assess the issue. He found the electrical connection box completely submerged. He drained it and added sealant to reduce the chance of future fluid intrusion. He tested components and pulled and manipulated the pump. He ensured all worked well and tested three times to be certain all was working well. He was professional and personable. He gave me some easy to follow maintenance advice as well. This was a time some companies would take advantage of the customer (immediate need of service). In the end, the limited pumping (only what was necessary) and the quick work resulted in a change well under the $400 quoted. It is nice to find service providers who are honest and don't take advantage of their customers.
