The administration is unprofessional, unresponsive, and does not practice what they preach. Administration has driven away many families and staff members. They consistently avoids parents, rarely returns phone calls or emails, and has created an environment where parents are shut out completely. You are not allowed to communicate with teachers directly, not even by email, unless you go through administration. Parents are not allowed into the building, and there are no classroom events or volunteer opportunities. It is clear they do not want parent involvement at all. At one point, it took more than two weeks and multiple attempts before anyone from administration responded to a simple email. Even teachers admitted that communication from leadership is severely lacking. What is most frustrating is the double standard. Students are held to impossibly high expectations and harshly punished for simple mistakes, yet staff and administration are not held accountable for their own failures. The hypocrisy is staggering. As paying customers, parents should be treated with respect and provided with timely, professional communication. Instead, families are ignored and dismissed. Over 20 families left this year alone, which should speak volumes. The owner chooses to look the other way rather than acknowledge these ongoing problems. It is truly unfortunate, because there are a few very sweet and caring teachers at this school, but they too are being driven away. This school is failing its students, families, and staff. Do not waste your time or money here. Now that we have left and experienced other private schools, I felt compelled to share just how unsettling our experience was in hopes of saving other parents from the same frustration.

My son got bitten 13 times by the same child and nothing was done, my daughter was punched in the nose nothing was done. My son had to go to the ER for his head being split open. All the kids are in one room with no structure. The education is nonexistent. I had to tell them to let my daughter write her own name daily. I asked for daily reports, communication, news letter anything and was always given an excuse. The safety is a massive issue and they have now removed my reviews on FB more than once and blocked me.

It was later suggested to us that we pick up an enrollment packet to enroll our toddler WITHOUT touring or even meeting the teachers. I'm sure most parents would agree that it's unreasonable to expect someone to enroll and drop off their young child like that. If you don't have time to show the facility for weeks, I'm not sure what kind of time management is happening for the littles and families that do attend. They seem extremely short-staffed. It felt sketchy. We won't be enrolling here.

My boys were enrolled in the Mandarin Immersion program, which I cannot praise enough. However, my husband and I's experience has deteriorated rapidly as we've been held to different standards than other parents (we bring our child to class with all appropriate diapers and wipes jackets for cold weather etc but other parents rely inappropriately on us prepared parents and don't bring their child prepared to school so they can "borrow" from us for months; NOT our guide's fault). Alana is our reason for our daughter thriving so well and our sole reason for keeping her in Guidepost. Aside from that, we are looking forward to withdrawing and will be heartbroken to leave Alana.
