The kind man who helped us choose a wine was amazing. I would come to this store just to get his recommendations. But the old bald dude at the counter was rude. My girlfriend forgot to bring her ID so I understand his frustration, but when she went to go get it he said unnecessary rude remarks to me and was huffing and puffing. I used to shop here all the time, then Total Wine opened up. So What I didn't feel like going all the way there I would stop in here and ask for the Total Wine price. Well I did that yesterday and found out that Twin LIquors no longer honor the same price quarantine, so I will no longer go to Twin Liquors ever. I have been here many times and while I'm not always asked if I need help, they're usually pretty friendly when I get up to pay. Not necessarily asking questions or seeing how my experience was, but at least making friendly acknowledgment that I'm there. For this reason, I give this a solid 3 stars. However, if a manager is reading this, be aware that my experience last weekend was much different! I ran in for a bottle of wine, I normally just get vodka there so I had to search around a bit to find the Cabernet. The two women working there were clearly into their own conversation about some new bottle of wine that the other woman "just had to try". Okay fine, you work at a liquor store, you're excited to share your new finds, I get it. But if someone is searching around for something and there is literally no one else in the store, maybe look up for a moment to acknowledge the customer. I walk to the counter and they slowly start walking towards the cash register still carrying on with their conversation, still not acknowledging me. I'm normally a very friendly person when I checkout places. Ask about the weather, plans for the weekend, etc...but at this point it was a game. Are they going to acknowledge me? Are they going to speak to me? So I stayed silent. Finally, a sentence was sent my direction. "It's 26.32." I again say nothing and sign and walk away. No thank you. No have a nice weekend. No nothing. I got back in the car kind of laughing and telling my husband how weird the entire experience was with there being NO exchange of words. I've never been blatantly ignored like that, that I can recall. Anyway, not trying to be an a-hole but you'll be a lot more successful working in the suburbs if you acknowledge your customers. I don't drink very often, but I dabble in it every so often. I was going to a friend's dinner party and didn't want to show up empty-handed. I knew veal was on the menu so I went into Twin Liquors looking for a wine that would pair well with it. The associate was helpful in providing a few suggestions, but he thought that the owner might have some choices as well so he went ahead to call him. They gave me several choices in a range of prices and I actually went with a pinot noir that came highly recommended by them. They even went as far as to wrap it with a pretty bow...I was impressed! And the wine was EXCELLENT with dinner--highly praised. read more

This Twin Liquors rules! My husband and I both enjoy the scotch selection and the artisan beers. Both of these products are well-represented at this outlet. Aside from the good selection, I like how the store does well at keeping samples active from different vendors. Seems like every time I stop by there is a new sample for rum, wine, or other new drinks to try. They have so many that if you don't like the sample on Thursday, you'll probably like the one on Friday. The manager, Brian, and the rest of the team are friendly, knowledgable, and they always make the art of looking for a new beverage an absolute joy. 5 stars for selection 5 stars for service read more

These guys are TERRIFIC! My husband and I found a terrific beer while in Kona, Hawaii. We saw that two girls had it at Peter Pan Golf a few months back- they said they got it at a local down-town liquor store, in which we never found. So we kept looking all over town for the beer at various stores, liquor and grocery... with no luck. About two months back, I went into this Twin Liquors, looking again for our beer, no luck again HOWEVER... the manager took my information down and said that he would inquire about the beer and see if he could get it in for us. Last week, I received a call from Brian Mullen (the manager/owner?)- he got us our Hawaii beer in the store!!!!!! I was so impressed that he took the time to listen to our specific request, and followed-through. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! We will forever be customers to this Twin LIquors! read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE! I come to this liquor store at least 2-3 times a week to pick up a pack of claws or a bottle of wine for dinner and usually have nothing but an absolutely pleasant experience. We support this liquor store and pay an extra few bucks instead of going to HEB out of principal. The employee with the mowhawk was exceptionally rude. We came with a group of 5 and respectfully followed their COVID guidelines of 2 per group at a time. He stood in front of a group of 30 year old women asking for our IDs and never even checked them... also after the last two out of four were checking out, the 5th individual waiting outside peeked their head in to ask if they could come in and they were told to get out. Never again will we come here and pay over priced prices for liquor/wine/beer. Go to HEB. Go to SPECS. Anywhere but here. And... have a business appropriate hair cut or you look extra ridiculous while being an absolute a$$hole. read more

I come to this store for my liquor needs, and go to Spec's for beer. You can always find a slamming Twins' Deal on whatever you need, so long as you're not overly brand-loyal. The best part of this particular location is the staff. They are always anxious to help, they know their wares really well, and they give top-notch advice. Turns out buying liquor doesn't necessarily require avoiding eye contact and getting out as fast as possible. read more
