I am extremely disappointed with my daughter's experience at during her senior year…read more My daughter was an AP student throughout high school and worked incredibly hard academically. During her senior year, our lives changed overnight when she suffered a heart attack at home due to a heart condition we did not know she had been born with. Paramedics had to revive her, and she remained unconscious in the hospital for several days. Her recovery took months. Throughout this time, I stayed in contact with the school and informed her teachers and counselors about her condition and hospitalization. Most of her teachers were kind, supportive, and understanding, and I will always appreciate that. Unfortunately, one teacher treated my daughter in a way that was completely unacceptable. Despite knowing what my daughter had gone through, this teacher refused to allow her to make up missed assignments from the time she was hospitalized. My daughter was only half a credit away from graduating, and if she had been allowed to complete the work, she would have graduated and walked with her class. Instead, the teacher failed my daughter. She accused her of lying about her medical condition, dismissed both me and my daughter when we tried to speak with her, and even ignored the counselor who fought for my daughter because she knew everything our family had been through. Because of this, my daughter did not get to walk at graduation after surviving a life-threatening medical emergency. As a mother, that still hurts me deeply to this day. Watching her classmates graduate while she was denied that moment over what ultimately became just one day of summer school was heartbreaking and unnecessary. Thankfully, my daughter eventually completed summer school and graduated during the summer, but the emotional damage from how this situation was handled never left us. No student recovering from a traumatic medical emergency should ever be treated with such lack of compassion, empathy, or humanity. I hope this school takes situations like this more seriously in the future and ensures that no other family has to experience what we went through. By the way, the teacher that didn't allow her to make up her missing assignment while at the hospital was her reading teacher. She started off with the male reading teacher and that he was really helpful. But he was transferred to the ninth grade center, so she ended up with a female reading teacher and this female reading teacher discriminated needed my daughter because of her race, she says she was hard on her. Because of it.\nAnd for that reason , she held my daughter back

The amount of drug use and sexual activity is appalling, every time you walk into a crowded bathroom it smells so fruity and not from perfume or cologne, and don't get me starting on how foggy it is. My daughter is four and has learned so much while being in the program this year. We are so happy with the program and the school in general. This school fucking sucks. They do senior save days to help seniors get there hours in if they need…read moreto make hours up for their attendance an order to graduate and then tell seniors the meetings and graduation practices are mandatory and they have to attend, but then tell the seniors if they go to the MANDATORY senior events they won't count those hours they are making up. If the students take a lunch break they deduct time from these students for going to eat but sit at their desks and munch away . This school is filled with rude, disrespectful, bad built teachers and staff that think they are "helping" the students when in reality they are making it worse. They are not organized with anything AT ALL, don't tell students about schedules, events, or anything important. Give information LAST MINUTE and then tell you "oh well nothing i can do" when it's genuinely their fault. They are setting these students up for failure, this school SUCKS the teachers are creeps and love kids do NOT come here. They gave these students hours A WEEK before FINALS and expected them to make them all up by the end of that week when most students had like 30+ hours to make up.. that's unrealistic especially for the students who have JOBS and finals to do. They are trying to hold students back from graduating with their classmates in June and telling these students who got the hours "oh you can always graduate in August" who wants to do that? No one. This is insane and unbelievable, you guys suck and need to do better. Organize better and communicate better. These staff members don't think about the students they only think about themselves and what they want to stuff their faces with for lunch. This year (2024) has been the WORST year for Klein Oak and klein isd period. I came to klein because my mom's friend told her that klein schools were great!! klein schools suck. they say they have a great education system, okay yeah maybe for some kids but most kids can't even tell the difference between a state and a country. That same friend has recently took her kid out of the district because of the RACISM , not only from the students but from the STAFF too. This school and every other school in the klein district stinks (literally stinks). This school NEEDS TO DO BETTER. They only care about the schools rating and ranking, they care more about your damn attendance than anything and if your child has had no problems with anything at this school it's probably because they don't speak to anyone and are a teachers pet. Klein Oak sucks BAD. 0/10 do not recommend .

LOTS of bullying happens at this school, it never stops, kids dont care anymore. ive transfered…read morebecause of it. but the teachers dont care, its always. follow the rules, think, learn, eat, repeat. The teachers dont teach good, they speed through the assignments and before you know it your already on the next assignment then wonder why your failing. fights happen when they do the teacher give you punishment, they dont put themselves in your shoes or even TRY to have some understanding about what happened because they think its wasting their time from paying their bills and teaching. counselor dont care, i reported bullying she stated "do you want me to just talk to her/him about it there isnt anything i can do" then why be a counselor. i told her about my life, she told my parents, thats something a counselor isnt supposed to do. teachers never want to understand where your coming from, they think that because they work at a school full of kids that they can boss us around like they do their children. i do not recommend this school, to many fights, to much drama, the lack of respect.

Next, some people wear tails to express themselves or put tails on their backpack and they are told that it is a "distraction" and they have to take it off. Also I am very concerned because last year I got the orange chicken and it was pure raw, I ate it, noticed it was raw, asked to get something else, went to the cafeteria ladies, waited like 15 minutes before I could get something else and then had like 2 minutes to eat the new food I got. Also the other day, in the hallway above the cafeteria it smelt like smoke which is concerning. Another thing, bullying and fighting is crazy common here. There was a fight where one student jokingly pushed another student and it turned into a fight, and bullies NEVER get in trouble. In summary, this school favorites students, targets the others, food is not the greatest, and students aren't nice and don't get social cues.

Kleb enforces dumb rules such as a ban of keychains on IDs because they can't "see the id". The dress code also sucks here. It's not enforced on you if you're popular trendy white (or a black kid pulling your pants below your ahh), but if you dress alternative or POC, it's placed upon you. I have seen shorts so short I could see butt cheeks but you can apparently get dressed coded for a tail. A lot of teachers SUCK. Whether it's creepy teachers or teachers that don't teach, most suck in some way. You do however, have like 12 good teachers, but those are usually for CTE,Fine Arts, or social studies. The Staff suck the most though. They can't do their job properly. Most students feel unheard. They tend to ignore reports that students make when uncomfortable of a teacher, and even if they try, blame is immediately put on the student. In May, a lot of Klein ISD schools were recognizing Mental Health Month, and Kleb completely ignored it and only celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week (which there is not much to appreciate). Teachers have seen students struggling (like if a student has visible cuts from self harm) and nothing is done. The school is also sorta homophobic. There was a gym teacher that wouldn't let my friends hug or sit close together because they were gay. Subtle bullying is also a problem here. Some kids think they rule because of their skin color or their trendiness. They make fun of other kids for things like hair color, sexuality, gender, fashion style, pronouns , etc. Please avoid this school at all costs. You"re better off homeschooling or sending them somewhere else. Even though they have high grades, safety is more important then education.
