Daily fights and nothing but aggressive environment and usually the teachers are treated poorly.

4 years at this school and not very happy by it. First of all, lake of sympathy and kindness at the…read moreoffice at any hour . we always feel unwelcome . Secondary, until this year, the school was open for everyone . students arrived late without any supervision or intervention from the staff. I had experienced to be on the hallway for 45 minutes (waiting for my kid whose forgot something at home due that day) without any question from anyone from the office (after people don't understand why it has lot of schools' attack . we can come in and out as we want even the students.) Third, even though your kid gives their best, volunteering, helping teachers etc, they aren't rewarded for their implication for the school. Fourth, disappointed by the seniors' year where students do nothing all year long during class and have few assignments as homework during the time that juniors year was crazy on homework weekend included but nothing teached in class as a result students stayed till 3 in the morning to finish their assignment. And last but not least, the seniors counselor is not helpful for the students for their futur. She doesn't answer any question so students have to figure out by themselves what to do after high school and how to get any help for scholarship, to reduce the University price. For a big school, don't expect to be considered . only if you give money at each request (and it has a lot ) maybe you can expect some consideration but not sure by experience, otherwise choose another school.

My hat comes off to the teachers and administrators @ KF high school for nurturing this talent, and providing a safe space for these students to practice the arts. The music, singing, and acting was awesome. The students were passionate and poised. It was an awesome date night for the wife and I. Ticket prices were $15 for adults. What a bargain. Even though we don't have kids in high school any more, we really enjoyed hanging out.

This isn't a school you want to send your kids to at all. The students fight almost every day and…read morethe staff like to pick and choose who they give consequences to. Many of the staff (admin & teachers mostly) work at that school because they still have a high school mindset, they choose to work there because that was their peak. This school only ever focuses on the sports that make them look good and nothing else. Many of the few good teachers left aren't paid and are forced to have a second income. The education system in this school had declined so much due to the negligence of academics and the focus on what makes them look good. For example, track and field makes the school look amazing because of all the great people that participate, but because of that the other sports available don't get as much attention. Meaning they still have the same old equipment that's been used for the past few years instead of providing new equipment that can better help players prepare for games. Moral of the story, Do Not send your child to this school unless you want them to have a unsuccessful academic future.

The staff preaches" see something, say something", but none of the kids or adults want to say anything because the staff will interrogate them and make them do more paperwork. Some of the kids wait to record the fights happening. Then there is this whole thing with threats and safety in traffic (kids getting run over by buses) and they have had very unprofessional staff members, such as Teacher Taylor (unemployed now), who should have gotten fired in the first place for the first explicit content created on their social media, but they waited to discontinue their contract at the end of the year they would even play explicit music in the classroom. AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARED ON THE POT. These kids are handing out vapes in locker rooms like preschoolers and candy on Valentine's Day?? Like... then there is a lot of PDA and sexual content spread around the school. There was a whole thing about a girl getting impregnated, and I think they kicked her out (that was a rumor I don't know for sure). In my 6th grade year, we had a girl bring adult beverages to school 2 times, and they already knew that it was her, and she did it again. Also, the dress code needs to be addressed. If the kid breaking the dress code is an athlete, or known for having mental issues, the kid does NOT get in trouble, and another issue is the AP's acting like they are doing everything right, but when they do something they blame it on the kids. For example, Ms. Scott was ALWAYS yelling at the kids for stupid stuff, like switching seats at school, like hello you want us to socialize, but you say we can't have phones (before the new law). Then you said we could socialize at lunch and then made sure we couldn't switch seats. Oh, and then, when they messed up on my map testing, they tried to lie to my parents and I were saying that I was cheating, which was a lie, and I was not going to put up with that, because I had an amazing conduct record, so I told them that I was not going to take the test unless they tell me what is actually going on, and they told me that they accidentally gave me an extra accombidaton that I didn't even know about or know how to use, and I would have been fine with that reasponce, but it's the fact that they treid to cover their own asses by lieing and when they finnaly told me the truth they took me to the office and sat me down and a room where Mr. Strang started to yell at me ... like... Hello?? What you want me to do is to apologize for Klein's mistake NO, but I get it everyone makes mistakes? Then there was another issue with kids cheating on their tests, like QSEs and shit I'm sorry if you are a parent and reading this right now. I know your child has to go to public school, but for your kids' safety, especially physically, just send them to Dorree or something, because this place needs to get shut down for P. S. If you're thinking about EDUCATION here, it is not all the teachers' fault. It is mostly the disruptions in the learning environment that other kids cause, but it LITERALLY SUCKS because it's SO HARD TO FOCUS. The average star score at an 8th grade level at this school is below the district and state average.
