"Family Owned and Operated" is the definite moniker here. The owner and his wife were bending over backwards to serve their guests for the Friday night showing I attended (even with a newborn strapped in her carrier). My sister and I wandered by around their 4PM showing, which was full, and the owners kindly said, "we have 2 spots left for 7PM" so we were sold. So, it may not be the most technologically advanced place to see a movie, but the atmosphere is by far the best. Despite us not being true locals, the lounge with all of it's hand me down recliners, sofas, and loveseats had a real "locals" atmosphere, and we felt welcomed there by everyone. I think half of the people in there knew each other and attend movies there regularly. The wine&beer selection is just OK, but I know some of that has to do with distribution rights. Hoping by my next visit they may be able to have Boondocks or another local brewery available. I'm not a big cider person. This does not lower the rating as I was already full from dinner and enjoyed a coke instead. We opted not to order food from the local restaurant that delivers takeout for the show, but that is a cool think for weekend date nights...you place your order before 5PM, tell them it's for BRML, and it's all delivered together just before showtime so that you can eat. They pass out TV trays for those with meals. All in all, West Jeff is my new "dream town to move to", and this might just be my favorite business in West Jeff. Whether you are local or travelling through, I highly recommend you try it out.

You can buy your tickets ahead of time online or use the Kiosk inside the main lobby. Concessions is in the main lobby and they have a few registers going at once so there is no long lines usually. You have your normal movie theater choices, nothing out of the ordinary. They do have a few specialty alcoholic drinks available, as well as a frozen Jack & Coke. Everything is a bit pricey. The theater itself was clean and you have assigned seats so no rush. Seats are reclinable and very comfortable. Lightning in the back row was dim and my wife almost ended up landing on her ass trying to find her seat in the dark. Movie quality and sound were great! Definitely will be back but probably eat ahead of time or sneak in some snacks......yes that's a Latino move but it's ok because I'm Latino! Go catch a movie, you won't be disappointed!

A $5 movie program they have here where each week they spotlight a movie for limited run with one or two showings, a chance to see a hit movie before it leaves theater. I got lucky ! Great not to have to spend a fortune as you can at the movies. They also give you a coupon when you buy your ticket for a popcorn and drink combo at discount price. Everything is done by self check out for tickets, with a person there to tell you where your theater is. They have a lot of concessions here too. Bathrooms clean, and the theater was pretty empty for my show. They have all the newest movies here and imax available. Lots of parking, and easy to navigate. This was a nice break in my rainy day, I'll be sure to see what's on their Final Cut showings in future.

However, someone was sitting in my seat, in a packed theater and refused to move, unless I get a manager involved. The problem I have is the manager did not ask the person to leave the theater, after all that drama. Just asked the person to go to their original seat, which was front row, terrible seating, relative to my middle of theater seating. If a manager does not enforce assigned rules strictly, particularly for when a person refuses to get up, the manager is welcoming this to happen again. I am worried about this happening again. And I should not have to feel that way when going to a theater I went to enjoy myself, paid a lot of money, and had to deal with that stress.

The reclining chairs were a good perk and there was plenty of space. The movie going experience was largely uneventful and was a better experience than I've had in Roanoke. We made the trip to the location and requested to buy tickets for the advertised showing. The associate said, Im sorry, but we can not let anyone see this showing of the movie. We are required by contract to show the movies a certain amount of times, but do not have the theater for an audience. This seemed very shady so I called the manager. I was told the same information. The business is getting licensing to show movies and is falsely advertising these without showing them. These are my concerns with this experience. 1. False Advertising (Unfair Trade Practices) Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act: Under Section 5 of the FTC Act, it is unlawful to engage in "unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce." Advertising a movie at a specific time but refusing to show it may be considered deceptive. State Consumer Protection Laws: Most states, including North Carolina, have laws against deceptive trade practices. For example, the North Carolina Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act (NCGS § 75-1.1) prohibits false advertising and other deceptive business practices. 2. Breach of Contract The cinema may be breaching contractual obligations with moviegoers by advertising showtimes and failing to deliver on them. This could be seen as a failure to perform as promised in the "offer" made by the advertisement. 3. Fraudulent Business Practices If the theater is intentionally advertising movies they never intend to show to attract foot traffic or benefit in other ways, this could amount to fraud. 4. Licensing Violations Film licensing agreements often include terms that require accurate advertising of showtimes and proper allocation of resources to honor them. We spent the same for just 2 tickets at a traditional theatre as we did here for 2 tickets + popcorn/drinks/candy for 2 here. We went on a Saturday night, it was busy, but not packed. The popcorn was a little stale. My only other complaint would be the light that comes in from the lobby area when anyone opens the door at the back of the theatre to come in/out. But overall this was a neat find in our little town, hope to be back again soon!
