First of all, we did NOT speak in length about this. We sat in your office and talked about this video and Erin's actions for about 10 minutes while you kept saying we could switch teachers and how Erin grew up in the studio. There was no closure, you offered no real plan of action going forward, you didn't bring Erin in to apologize to our baby, or us for that matter. So don't act like we had a productive, lengthy meeting because we did not. We were customers, and you, as the business owner, allowed us to leave quite dissatisfied. We were offended and traumatized by what happened, by the video, by your lack of empathy, and by the way you handled the situation.
You understand how we were upset? Yes, we know! You understood that night! You told us if what happened to our baby would have happened to your child, you would be upset too. You said that. So that tells me that you absolutely acknowledged what happened, and there was not a question in your mind that Erin shoved our baby! Now you are trying to back pedal and say she did not push her.
You see where Erin was coming from? The look of frustration on her face, the way she stretched out her arm behind our baby's back and then shoved her forward, yeah, we also saw where she was coming from.
You forget that the video was only the RECORDED proof of what had actually been witnessed first hand by my daughter as it happened! She saw how Erin acted towards the baby, saw her shove her forward almost knocking her down, and saw the baby begin to cry. So I suppose my daughter and my granddaughter at the time it happened both interpreted it wrong??? NO. Erin was NOT trying to keep the baby out of the path of the dancers, she was frustrated with her and shoved her, just like I have seen her jerk and squeeze others out of frustration.
So you go right ahead and stand by your staff on this one. And I will stand by my baby, stand by my daughter, stand by the truth, and CONTINUE to post reviews all over the internet, continue to tell about the occurrence to everyone I can, use all means of social media to spread the word that the owner of Twin Arts has chosen to stand by a staff member who out of frustration shoved a little baby in a tutu!
Lastly, you say you are all just "doing what we think is best for the kids."
After a parent (my daughter) reported to you that she pulled her daughter out of the class because the teacher made her cry by pushing her out of frustration and almost knocking her down-what was the best thing "for the kids" at this point? Because you did nothing. You did nothing, we had to call you and ask to watch the video, otherwise you wouldn't have addressed the issue with us at all!
After we watched the video, you saw how upset we were, you said you would be upset too, and then sat silently. So how are you doing what is "best for the kids" again?????? You did nothing to help our baby girl, nothing at all. As owner and representative of the studio, you didn't even think to suggest that YOU yourself should sit and talk to our little girl and let her know she was not guilty of ANYTHING and did not deserve to be treated that way!!!!
You were too busy worrying about an adult who works for you, and not at all worried about the baby girl who was scared, hurt, and sobbing because she, herself KNEW Erin was angry enough at her to push her! You may think you do what is best for all the other the kids, but you didn't do A THING for our little girl, I wonder why that is..
We are not moving past this for a good while.
My daughter and son-in-law were paying you to provide a service, in a safe and positive environment! They did NOT get what they paid for. Instead their little girl was traumatized, mistreated, shoved from behind and almost knocked to the ground!
Oh and thanks for showing your concern for our child by only communicating with us via a business review site after we posted a negative review, instead of giving us a call to check on our baby, or doing anything else showing any genuine concern.
AGAIN! READERS!! STAY AWAY FROM TWIN ARTS DANCE STUDIO IN PASADENA, TEXAS! YOU WILL EXPERIENCE THIS KIND OF TREATMENT! THEY SAY THEY CARE FOR THE CHILDREN BUT AFTER MY GRANDDAUGHTER WAS SHOVED AND ALMOST KNOCKED TO THE GROUND, CRIED, WAS TRAUMATIZED BY THE TEACHER BY THE NAME OF ERIN, SHE HAS BEEN "KICKED TO THE CURB", PUSHED ASIDE, NOT CARED FOR BY THE OWNER OR STAFF OF THE STUDIO. THE OWNER INSINUATING THAT WE ARE EITHER LYING OR MAKING IT UP WHEN SHE HAS THE VIDEO SHOWING WHAT HAPPENED! SPEND YOUR MONEY AT A STUDIO WHERE THEY GENUINELY CARE FOR THE WELL-BEING OF THE CHILDREN!! read more
