In the 15 years before our lessons, we never danced together. Now we are at the intermediate level and members of a social dance club. We do 11 dances. We went on a cruise a couple of months after we began lessons and spent all of our nights dancing. We got compliments on our dancing every night, and one lady even asked us to teach her the dance we were doing! Annette really wants you to learn and believes that anyone can. Her saying is "If you can walk, you can dance." Be prepared, though: she is a feisty red-head, and there is no doubt who is in control when you walk into her studio.

Honestly, I didn't look at a lot of companies when trying to decide where to start taking beginner lessons... just because once I've found something I want to pursue - I do. I've gotten several questions about this place lately so in update ... Overall take: 1. Annette, the owner, responded to all initial inquiries quickly, which lead me to check it out and sign up. 2. The lessons move at a fine pace for me. I learn just enough to be challenged but not overwhelmed. Hubby (also taking the class) and I then take what we learn and practice each day. For us repetition is key. 3. I look forward to going back, and I also enjoy practicing at home and at community events when we can. For the beginner class, you don't need a partner, but if you do have one it's great for spending time together and learning to work together as a team. I am doing the beginner group lesson. Some also do the private lessons and beginner group lesson (practice session) together regularly or on occasion. Honestly, find what satisfies your goals and budget and do you. Our #1 goal is to spend time together and have fun learning to dance - which is exactly what we are doing. Best wishes ~

What I appreciate most about PDA is that the dancers are given opportunities to grow beyond simply learning choreography. I have watched her become more confident, disciplined, independent, and responsible while continuing to develop her technique and love for dance. The instructors see potential in their dancers and encourage them to keep reaching for the next level. Whether it is preparing for performances, learning new styles, receiving corrections, or stepping into leadership opportunities, each experience has contributed to the dancer and young lady is becoming. Easy to park, easy to enter…read more Underground self-parking lot is a flat $15 for events and in the next building over. You'll have to cross the street where valets and taxis pick up and drop off directly. It took about half an hour to leave the garage after a show, which was much better than expected. Seats are comfortable considering the venue. I went without my lumbar support just fine. The slope at the orchestra level is good enough. Seats are staggered so that you are in between the two seats in front of you. The projections box for translations is at the top of the stage, which is quite high. At Row J, my eyes were constantly up to read the translations and the actors were not in my peripheral view, so I felt like I missed many gestures and facial expressions. Perhaps Row N would be a nice compromise between seeing the performers' faces while also being able to more easily glance up at the translations without missing the story. Seat 4 is probably the furthest out I would go on Orchestra Right or Orchestra Left because the side of the stage ends close to there. (See attached photo.) Any further and you might miss something happening in the back corner of the stage.

Apparently she was provided funds through Harvey Relief and has not put the monies into the studio repairs. She is only using 1 dance area. As for the recital, the books were black/white even tho she received sponsors. The dancers provided their outfits for the picture because costumers were not delivered on time. Some costumers were delivered the day of recital. Very un-professional in my eyes. At the recital there was an issue with the electronics. Music/power went out.
