If you're looking for something more decorative, there are gourds galore! If you want something unique, they have all kinds of bumpy, lumpy textures pumpkins too. Of course there are apples, you can pick your own or grab a bag from the store. I've never had donuts but apparently they're good, I do know the caramel apples and caramel corn are delicious. For activities...take your pick between a small little zoo, I'd say more observation than petting. I saw pigs, bunnies, chickens and goats. There are a couple corn mazes but they aren't free, buy entry at the store cashier. They do have an area for a little bonfire some days and there are trails and a big pile of hay bales to climb around on. Pick your own apples is definitely an activity too! As a group of four we greatly enjoyed walking around the orchard and finding our favorite apple varieties. Afterwards we stopped at the little cafe for some apple cider donuts and beignets, all which were warm, fresh, and absolutely delicious!! Ended our visit by picking a few pumpkins to take home for carving/painting! Would definitely recommend for couples and families as a fun fall activity!

Wild flowers, sun flowers, other flowers I didnt even know the name for.... Their season is short (Minnesota summers are short) but that makes it all the more special when you can sneak away from the city and explore Berry and Bloom Farm. It's also the most instagrammable spot ever, and the most quaint. The U-pick flower portion is on the "honor system." It is family owned, they only ask people leave a couple bucks for a few flowers (vases can be purchased for a few dollars more.) And I would probably hunt someone down if they took advantage of this amazingly open, kind, gift to humanity. I didn't take any flowers home, but left a few dollars any way because you truly can FEEL how much love and passion goes into this farm. Please understand that if you plan to visit: family owned. Small farm. Trusting people. Dont ruin the kindness :) Its about 30 minutes out of Rochester (great spot to explore if youre visiting the Mayo Clinic on a health trip.) Be sure to check their website though to ensure they are still open. This is going to be a permanent stop every time I visit this part of Minnesota.

We mainly came for Rosie's Farm Yard and Petting Zoo. It was definitely smaller than expected / advertised. I believe it was $5 per person including parents if they wanted to join in/ had a hesitant toddler like myself! We only had about 2-3 minutes in the petting zoo before rotating out. They had a few bunnies, chickens, a pony, and donkey in a very small enclosure. Not sure if I would go again for the petting zoo but I promised my toddler we would go, and that's why I still went through with it when I saw how small the enclosure was and how little time they were going the kids to pet the animals. My favorite part was the food trucks. We had some incredible mini donuts and amazing popcorn! Some of the best I've had. I would definitely be back for the food trucks alone. Overall it was a nice local pumpkin farm if you don't want to drive too far from home.

The farm was busy but not overwhelming, and we were able to find several perfect pumpkins (and some smaller gourds) about a week before Halloween. The hay ride to the pumpkin picking patch was charming, but I also appreciated the pumpkin selection available near the entrance. There were also a few food trucks, with burgers, coffee, and some very intriguing teas. The overall ambience of the farm was beautiful and perfect for some weekend fall fun. We will definitely be back next year to try out even more!

On a weekday afternoon, it was mostly folks like me, out to buy a few fresh items. I could see the weekends being busier with families. The orchard has nice grounds to amble through, some tractors to climb and pose with, wagons to borrow, and a beautiful outdoor seating area. I found my apples and also picked up some honey. There were also jams, cheese, apple sauce, salsas, coffee, and wild rice options. Freshly baked goods and hot and cold apple cider were fall favorites as well. There's also some goats and chickens the kiddies can feed along with a tracker ride out to the corn maze! (You can go on the ride without actually going through the maze). There are loads of different apples/pumpkins to pick your own or buy the preselected bags inside the shop! It was easy to find, since they have a lot of signs up which have arrows from the main road. The staff here are very friendly, approachable and kind. It seems to be run by an all women staff woo!! The parking is on the grass or dirt parking. Come as early as you can because it gets crowded pretty darn fast, and loud. The inside building has a lot of items you can purchase, like peanut butter, apple pies, caramel apples, and pre picked apples. They also have samples of each apple in their orchard. My personal favorite was their sweet sixteen apple. They have an outside area, with 1 goat for a petting zoo. They have hay bails for kids to climb, and some open area for them to roam around. They have apple trees spread out everywhere and it's labeled with what kind of apple each tree is. It's a perfect photo spot, they also thought ahead and have a huge family bench near the corn maze where you can take cute pics. The corn maze is challenging but doable for kids and adults. They have an APPLE cutout inside the maze so you can find it, something fun in addition to the maze. There's a wagon that takes you out to the maze or you can just walk there. They have wagon rides at 11 am sharp. The pumpkin patch was sort of a disappointment, because some of them were spoiled and others were fungated? The whole place is perfect for instagram pictures, and fall photo shoots. It's free admission, but the corn maze is $3 per person. The apples and pumpkins are charged based on how much they weigh. It was really affordable. They have new hours apparently so call ahead to confirm. Definitely a family oriented fun outing!

I will say the way it's handled is pretty terrible though, having some college kids try and understand how to manage the insane level of traffic they get is not the smartest decision. The staff located in the patch and shop are nice but everything in there is overly priced and most of it mass produced outside of their location (i.e. the stuffed animals). Of what we bought - some apple cider donuts and pumpkins, the donuts did NOT disappoint, they were fantastic even if they started going stale only about 2 days later. The other problem, also an issue of longevity, is that the pumpkins were rotting within 3 days.
