Amazing place for your toddlers. Great place for little one's to follow instructions, continue to learn their colors as they use scarves, circles of different colors. This one is easy to enroll and terminate at any time, without being locked in for the entire school year. * Try a trial session free! * Makeups whenever you miss a class. * Can easily switch to a different class, as long as there's space available. JJ1 has already done this once. * Spans a larger age range; as young as 18 months to as old as 8 years. * JJ1 loves practicing at home and teaching it to JJ2. Her poise and stance are more developed now. Only drawbacks are that the customer service hotline is hit or miss when getting back to me and other parents, and the Bravo Bash is held in SF. If it were held in the East Bay, I would've considered enrolling JJ1 in it. read more

Today was a tutu school class that will forever be etched in my memory and heart as it reminded me how important it is to be kind and inclusive and how even the simplest gestures can make a world of difference in someone's life. For some reason I had it mixed up in my calendar the week the dancers were invited to wear their Halloween costumes. I instructed my 4yo ballerina to wear her Halloween costume to class today. We even spent extra time making her hair as beautiful as Belle's from Beauty and the Beast. As we approached Tutu School and noticed her classmates weren't in costume, it was confirmed by the sign outside that we had gotten the weeks mixed up, as the sign said to wear their costumes next week (not this week). When my daughter realized she was the only one in costume, she became visibly upset and clung to me and started to almost cry. Her sweet teacher Ms. Charlie noticed and immediately came up with the best solution. She suggested the whole class wear costumes and immediately ran to the back and came back with a box full of costumes - which happened to be Disney Princess costumes (which to our pleasant surprise matched my daughter's costume) that fit the other girls perfectly! Seamlessly, the girls gravitated toward the box and excitedly picked out costumes to wear for class. As they each enthusiastically picked a costume and put them on, my daughter's face went from distress to relief and joy. She happily joined the class, and it was literally the best and most fun class ever, so much so that it ran over by 10 minutes, much to everyone's glee! Ms. Charlie even thanked my daughter for coming to class in costume. I will forever be grateful to Ms. Charlie for thinking so fast on her feet and coming up with this genius plan that elevated the whole class experience today and, most of all, made my daughter feel the opposite of what she may have otherwise felt. We all have at least one childhood story where we may have felt embarrassed or out of place, but I can safely say this is not one for my daughter. In fact, she will forever remember this day as the one where her kind-hearted teacher made her feel welcome, seen, and even made her feel like a leader! Thank you, Ms. Charlie! If I could give Tutu School 1000 stars I would! This place is so great, all of the teachers are exceptional and truly know how to teach little girls. They teach ballet in such a fun way. I have been bringing my 22 month old daughter to Tutu school for the past month. She has loved it from the second she walked in the door. Her teacher is Teacher Monique and she is so wonderful and delightful. It is so amazing to see how well my daughter listens and follows directions because of how engaging and calm Teacher Monique is! We were lucky enough to get a special when we signed up and have gotten unlimited classes our first month! We have gone 2-3 days a week every week and I know my daughter will be sad next week when we only get to go once. She always asks for, "my tutu school." At home she independently practices the things she's learning there! It is so cute to watch! We just signed up for the Bravo Bash and I cannot wait to see her in her first recital! I'm very delighted that we have enrolled both of our daughters to Tutu School in Hercules... they are always looking forward to attending their classes! Tutu School is great for kids. Having my daughter in the toddler class has boost her confidence and ability to socialize with kids outside her preschool. The teachers are professional and have a great amount of patience, which is essential when dealing with kids in this age group. The class schedule is also flexible, allowing us to do make up classes when needed. Additionally, staff is prompt and responsive with questions or concerns. Last week my daughter had her first recital on stage. The performance was well coordinated, organized and entertaining. I enjoyed watching the kids have a fun, memorable experience! I was a little hesitant about putting my 3yo in ballet so early... but the school was offering a free trial, and my daughter absolutely adored the movie LEAP on Netflix, so we tried it out. My daughter absolutely LOVED the class! She was smiling through the entire experience which made me smile watching her. My face is literally sore from smiling so much. The instructor, Kirsten, was an incredible and welcoming mentor, and the small class size really allowed for some personal attention. Had to enroll my daughter here for ballet because this place is so darn cute. I knew of other tutu schools in the area and was happy to hear there is a tutu school in Hercules. So far my daughter has been coming for about a month in half and enjoys the class a lot. I have her in the 3-4yr age group. The teachers keep the kiddies engaged and Michelle the owner is super sweet. Tutu school also offers ballet cloths, shoes and tutu's for purchase. Such a fun environment for my lil one. From the outside it looks like a small studio, but once you are inside you get the feeling that you have entered a fairy tale with the vibrant colors and the tutus hanging on the walls like art paintings. The teacher is firm but nice and I love that parents get involved in the learning process like the teacher saying something like "kids learn by observing their parents actions" (don't quote me on it it was the first day of class for my bb so I was hesitant on what to expect, since my background is more on the sports side than the art of ballet) My daughter loves it and has been twirling non-stop in a fun and diversity environment. read more

I really appreciate the patience the teachers have with my daughter. She is definitely a bit wild, but the teachers are really gOod at engaging and keeping the kids focused. My daughteRs age group requires parent involvement which is nice as it allows for us to bond together. Ms. mcKenzie is a great teacher and we really enjoy her style. The reason I did not provide 5 stars is there was a high turnover of teachers fOr my daughters class, which I thought was challenging as at this age groups it takes time for the children to build trust with "strangers." This time though, the teacher was extremely impatient and didn't care enough to allow my child to get through the free trial before telling me in front of another family that I could remove my child simply because my child had a busy morning and wasn't focused...
