My daughter started her lessons here when she was 2 years old. She absolutely lllloooooovvvvveeeeesssss it. She has been taking 2 lessons weekly for the past year and my daughter still looks forward to her dance classes everytime. The facilities are clean. My daughter attended Sherrie's Dance Studio for almost two years. Although touted as a "big family", it was a chilly reception from the beginning and continued to unfold into a saga of bullying and tainted her love of dance. My daughter liked her tap teacher, but a few months later, a new teacher arrived, Danielle. There was no communication that this was going to be her new teacher and no introduction to the parents or children. It is true that generations have danced at this studio and many already knew this teacher, but my daughter and I did not and over the following months would find her skills at classroom management and teaching to be at best, lackluster. It was in Danielle's class that my daughter began to be bullied (by a girl whose parents were not present in class). However, the nepotism runs deep in Sherrie's "family" and the bully was a little darling of the dance studio's "family". The catty remarks , pulling my daughter's friends away from her, yelling, showing fists and glaring throughout the entire class was so apparent, there would be no way for the teacher to miss what was going on. It was mid-April that I tried to approach Sherrie. However, she could not be bothered with spending 5 minutes to talk. So, I spoke to Leslie (the office manager?). Leslie double checked who my daughter's teacher was, assured me that this information would reach the parents of the bully and Sherrie. In the following weeks I received no follow up, except that the bully started in on my daughter again. Unfortunately, the teachers, management and Sherrie do not uphold the "class etiquette" and "courtesy and respect" posted on their website: "Respect for your teacher and fellow classmates is the number one lesson in dance class. Teachers may ask students to wait in the lobby if they are being disruptive or disrespectful. ... Bring a good attitude to class. Sherrie's Dance Studio expects students to observe common courtesy and to be respectful of their teachers and fellow class members. Proper respect is expected at all times.... Disrespect for teachers, gossiping and other behaviors that adversely affect the class will not be tolerated". Meanwhile, my daughter (only six years old at the time) was hesitant to come to class and spent most of the class spaced out and unable to concentrate on learning. She was determined to see this experience through to the show (completely her choice). She stayed kind and respectful throughout. I am a very proud mama. As for this studio, its lack of courtesy and professionalism is simply egregious. read more

This place is great for little dancers. My daughter is 2 1/2 and I was a bit hesitant to enroll her too soon, as she's not the timid little girl who is exceptionally skilled at listening to instructions. Although she does run around being silly when she should be following her teacher, Susie, remains so sweet and patient. The studio is cute, clean, and very welcoming to new students/families. She is currently enrolled in the Saturday "Intro to Dance" class, and LOVES it. read more

This is a bit late, but I just want to update my review on Suzi. After maybe six or seven private lessons she choreographed the most beautiful and graceful dance for us. I took my twin girls here, and they loved it. I enjoyed it. The dance instructor kept the kids busy, and kept them interacting the whole time from ballet, tap, gymnastics. There is parking, drop ins are welcome the facility is kept up and nice. Interesting trophies to look at in the waiting room. The customer service is great, the first time we got there we were introduced to the dance instructor, but not the class. I didn't think nothing of it because we (parents) listed our children names on the sheet of paper and began to engage conversation about our children and why we are here today. We also was able to dance with our children, and the instructor also have some helping hands. I enjoyed watching my girls run that energy low, because after the AM workout it was lunch and nap time afterwards. read more

The instructor is friendly and seems to have many years of dance related experiences based on her many stories she tells. My criticism is she likes to talk and talk about her experiences during class time to anyone that will listen. Sometimes I don't feel she is talking to anyone specifically and the kids are just waiting for her to give them guidance. I'd expect her to spend more time teaching and less time socializing. My child likes dancing, tumbling and arcobatics but says she is usually borred in class. We are looking for other programs to replace this school. read more

I want to recommend Sherri Mazza's dance studio. Sherry is a true professional and has a wonderful studio that fosters all different ages and skill levels. It has been nearly 40 years since I took ballet and tonight I was so inspired by the amazing teacher, Daryl DeBolt, as she so creatively shared the fundamentals of ballet along with technically challenging exercises. Daryl is extremely knowledgeable and patient. She wants to challenge you to grow as a dancer. I made it through nearly an hour and a half of the class and left feeling so empowered. I danced at Sherrie's dance studio from the age of 4 to about 14. I absolutely loved it. All the instructors are super nice. Although when a show is about to come around things may get hectic, but once you get on stage it all pays off. I wish I can go back and dance as an adult. read more

i love sherries dance studio, all the dance teachers are very nice and professional, my seven year old loves all her classes and its super excited for the last recital week which happens every two years. I am looking forward to watch my daughter grow with them, and see how she learns more steps. I danced at Sherrie's Dance Studio from ages 3-19 and I loved every moment I've spent there. The instructors have been there since well before that, and they are all amazing. Sherrie (owner), Nikki, Gina , Suzie are all dance instructors and have all taught there or danced there or both for 20-30 yrs and more. Any of the other instructors also used to be students that danced there from when they were young. Dancers can start at age 2, and there are fabulous ladies all the way up to Their 80's and 90's. They have tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, tumbling, hula dance, Spanish dance, a singing group, sometimes zumba, or fitness classes. They do a show every two years and it is always fabulous. It's put on much like a Broadway show on a real stage with curtain and lighting. The show isn't just dance. There are singing and tumbling numbers, and short acting scenes. The show is always a creative story that factors all the dances in. They have a competition team that was always successful. The reason it is so great there is because there is a mixture of music from back in the day and today. The dances aren't just to the newest pop music and dancers get a sense of a more classic time. It is truly a family when you're there. I would still be there if it wasn't for life getting in the way. I hope to go back one day and for sure my future children will be attending. 10 stars!! read more

Excellently skilled teachers in all of the disciplines use their talents with kindness and respect leading to exceptional outcomes. All of the children including my own, feel a sense of belonging which gives them the desire to want to dance, dance, dance! The shows are not just a little recital they are actually theatre productions that leave you begging for more. The costumes are beautifully chosen and the dancers love them!
