You can always tell a teacher who doesn't have their heart in the art of dance. But then again, how can they when they're so over worked? We came here from another studio- if you're looking for something on the core foundation side of dancing- it's not really here. This is more fun, entertaining and keeps your kid active. Which is good, yes! But I understand to more advanced dancers, some classes here would probably seem like a joke. Parking lot is always chaos. Recitals? Wishy washy and chaotic- I guess that can be normal for recitals. Expect your entire day to be solely based on the recital day.. as it is mandatory for all dancers to be there for dress rehearsal and then come back later for the recital itself or literally just hang out all day there till the recital starts. Which is normal for recitals. I say wishy washy because despite other parents busting their butts to get their kid to dress rehearsals, they still let other dancers do the recital sans the rehearsal. Which isn't bad, but I think it's some sort of favoritism. Having volunteered to help in the back, I've witnessed them turn young dancers away from participating in the recital because they missed rehearsal.... and then I've witnessed them let other dancers participate despite missing dress rehearsal?........ Why did it bother me? Well, because I saw a few kids hearts get stomped on after they were turned away and not allowed to dance. Then I saw a few others skip happily on in. Kinda left a sour taste in my mouth. 2 stars because they do keep kids busy and entertained while in class.

They allow large number of the school (across the street) parents/drivers to fill up member spaces. There is no excuse for this. It was almost impossible to park for a morning class so I stopped going to the class. They have not given any response. I have brought this to their attention a few times. There is literally no upper management to contact for anything. I have been going to this Y since about 2002. It used to be great, esp the pools..all gone and we could always email/contact management with concerns/questions. I miss the classes and also a very active lively weight room..no more. Their rebuilt weight room is large and clean, yet not that friendly.

I envisioned a cold auditorium with folding chairs and craining my neck to see the show. I couldn't have been more wrong! With a setting that could rival any one of the major colleges, the Knox Center is spectacular and state of the art. There was ample parking across the street (the business that it belongs to closes at 5pm) and it was just a short walk to the facility. There was a small reception for an additional $5 while waiting for the doors to open. Once ushered into the theatre itself I was awed. It is beautiful. There are three levels to enter the theatre at, the seats are spacious and comfy and you can enjoy the performance from any vantage point. So when you are planning your entertainment, look at your local schools and colleges and support the young talent. You never know who you may be giving a start to. Look back at many of the celebrities who started in community college. Come out to the Knox Center and support your local arts. Let's encourage the Arts! PS. The show was brilliant!

The studio and the staff are warm, friendly, inclusive, and professional…read more  As someone who is new to dancing and was very intimidated to take classes as an adult, the studio and its instructors do a great job of welcoming everyone regardless of their skill level and age. For example, in my very first class here, teens to folks in their 50s-60s joined in! The studio is kept clean and polished, is spacious, and has nice lighting. The studio's location is also great and accessible to people in the area. Parking is easy peasy, and the studio is next to food/boba shops you can easily go to after a good workout.
