The environment was consistently clean, safe, and thoughtfully structured. She never got sick, which speaks to the level of care and attention the staff brings to their work every single day. Their policies are clear and firm, and it is evident that they exist to protect the children and keep the space running smoothly. We always had peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. We trusted the team completely and felt they treated her with the same care and consistency we would at home. We love the smaller size of the daycare, allowing us to know that our baby is getting the attention he needs. Carmelita provided email updates and photos the first few months until we felt secure. Our baby is always happy when we pick him up and has never had a bad day at daycare. It's been 5 months since our baby started attending and its clear that he's gained great social and learning skills along the way. All the other parents are so happy to have their kids here as well. Now this last couple of months have been horrible. Teacher sumra and teacher Tina are amazing educators. They have taught my son a lot of things. The lack of communication that comes from is very unfortunate and unprofessional. We had one meeting and there was things discussed. Now I call they do not answer the phone and their word " too busy doing other things" I have reached out the owner Cindy a very lovely lady, and does her best to help. But of course there has been no change into lack of communication from being able to call. I also now text and even then it's too much for them to do. I like to call in to check in on my child and talk directly with the teacher, but now I get push back from her and I speak to a different teacher. These last couple of months have just been terrible and I'm all out of options. I work about an hour away from the school and not being able to communicate with them had just been very difficult, stressful and disappointing.

With a Gymboree so close to home in El Cerrito, we knew we had to give it a try. With my parents off for the holiday break, they wanted to take our baby to his first class for a special grandparent moment. I spoke with Miles on the phone in great length about the classes, schedule, and details of activities, so my parents and Lorenzo were set up for success. She helped guide us to his first preview class, Gymboree's automated class reminder/instructions were super helpful and perfect for first timers, and my dad was welcomed and felt at ease with little guy in tow. My dad shared the class activities were engaging, fun, entertaining, and for a first timer into this world of the unknown, our son loved the bubbles and new playtime equipment. While a small class with just one other baby present, thank you Miles for the attention, care, and knowledge given to the group. She is so compassionate, loving, kind, energetic, fun, and overall a safe place for the kids. She truly enjoys being a teacher and her love for the kids AND parents is unmatched. What we've especially appreciated is the calm, well-organized environment and the wide range of learning opportunities. Keystone offers a nice balance of Montessori learning, hands-on activities, and enrichment classes (Spanish, Mandarin, music, soccer, martial arts). Our daughters were able to try different things and discover what they enjoyed most. We've also seen them grow a lot socially, making friends, learning responsibility, and gaining confidence. Overall, Keystone has been a nurturing and engaging preschool that gave both of our children a strong foundation and a love for learning.
