We celebrated our daughter's 5th birthday here, and it was absolutely wonderful! They truly thought of everything. They provided cupcakes, a Happy Birthday sign, candle, and party favor bags--items I had already purchased myself, but I could have saved so much time and money! Elianna was an absolute dream to work with. She kept us updated on the flow and timing of the party, and she was warm, attentive, and fantastic with all of the guests. This location was also incredibly accommodating. Our party fell during Thanksgiving break when most nearby Tutu Schools were closed and unwilling to host events, but this team graciously allowed us to book during that time. We've had both daughters in classes at Tutu School in Alameda. 2019-2020 and 2023-2024 (present). It is a good ballet school for toddlers and younger kids. They allow the children to get excited about dance and ballet without the strict nature of standard ballet classes. Our younger daughter started in the 3/4 year old class on Sundays. It's mostly focus on getting kids moving and excited about dance. They do teach technique but don't stress it. She's currently in the Thursday evening 4/5 class which does focus more on technique while keeping the fun warm ups and games. read more

My 3.5 year old really enjoys twirling at Tutu School. She is now four classes in with Ms Avala Exploring Ballet A/B and it's a great complement to the part-time school she is in. As a pandemic toddler she had a tough time six months ago when Tutu School did one of their fun readings at the Alameda Free Library because of all the kids in one place but the studio is great, class sizes are small and she immediately took to participating. Ms Avala is great with the students and very patient. I appreciate how flexible Tutu School is with makeup classes and unlimited classes during summer. My 2.5 year old daughter loves attending Tutu School! She's been enrolled for a little over a month and even though she mostly runs around the room squealing, she is having a blast and is slowly learning to follow along with the class and take instruction. All of the teachers we've had have been patient, sweet, and engage the kids. The class is paced well for kids of all ages (within the class range) and abilities. There is a lot of encouragement, but enough leeway to allow for a bad case of wiggles. These classes have been a great way for me to spend a little one-on-one time with big sister so she can have something she doesn't have to share with her little sister.
