I was incredibly impressed with TutorBright. So few companies live up to what they say, so I was cautious at first but my concerns quickly disappeared. I called about 8 places when I was looking for math help for my grade 11 daughter. TutorBright's rates were competitive and they promised to find a good 'match' and provide quality tutoring. They did both, from the start. My daughter's grade (and confidence) went up significantly because her tutor knew her stuff very well and she also encouraged my daughter. TutorBright is a wonderful company to work for. The entire team is very professional, friendly, attentive, and understanding. I was hired by them about a year and a half ago to be a part-time tutor mentor and it has been a great experience. I have become a better and stronger educator and I can really see their services making a difference in their client's (my students') lives. There is a lot of skepticism towards tutoring and tutoring services in general from the public and from educators but people should not be skeptical of TutorBright. It is really as good as it seems. They are fair to everyone whether you are one of their tutors or if you're a client. You have nothing to lose with them by becoming a tutor. They do not randomly assign you students and they do not make you tutor a subject that you are uncomfortable in. For interested clients, whether you're seeking tutoring for yourself or for your child you have nothing to lose. They give a free assessment to diagnose your child's strengths and weaknesses as well as getting to know the potential student so they can learn more about their interests and personality. This allows them to match up tutees with the right tutors. I have had the privilege of tutoring a range of wonderful students with diverse needs, strengths, and interests. My daughter has been a TutorBright student since Oct 2015. She is in French Immersion as was averaging very low in math. Over the course of 18 months she has not only learned the needed skills, her confidence has also drastically improved. She is still being tutored and her tutor uses a variety of methods (exercise sheets, math drills and oral communication) to help her. She has improved to the point she has been accepted into a Francophone school! Admittedly it is quite expensive, however, I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for! Also the company contacts us regularly to ensure our needs are met by the current tutor. Any issues with either the materials or the tutor are addressed immediately. There are a lot of security protocols in place and TutorBright is completely engaged in the success of their students. I would strongly recommend TutorBright to anyone who is serious about improving or supplementing their child's academic studies. read more
