Our son was initially interested in taking the SAT but Josh advised that he take the ACT as well. My kid has a B- ave, is a senior and has Aspeger's, ADHD, anxiety, etc. I started him prepping for ACT with the Tutor shack bc is was so much cheaper than other programs and I thought the individual attention would be good for him. He was initially very unmotivated, didn't want to go, etc. Wow, just got his score back and he got a 29 on the ACT--92 percentile. They did so well with him, were so understanding, and really tailored their sessions to his personality and needs. His tutors were so great, that he's now taking tutoring for HS Physics, which he was falling behind in. I couldn't recommend them more. I had three children take targeted sessions and Josh was able to address any deficiencies in their readiness. As noted by other reviewers, cost is a little pricier, but you'll save money in the long run because you will need fewer sessions to accomplish similar results from cheaper competitors.
