I left with a cinnamon roll donut and a apple danish. I was loving the donut as I ate it while driving to my destination. The sweetness, texture, moistness, and cinnamon flavor was all there. I could have ate a couple more. The next day I ate the apple danish. It held up nicely a day later and wasn't all dried out. It was reminiscent of the apple danishes that McDonalds used to sell years ago, but 10x better. The apple filling was a sweet delight that i can rarely find. I really enjoyed the pastries here and everything tasted way better than they looked. If I would have known the goods were going to be great, I would have bought a lot more. To bad I won't be back out that way until next summer.

These are not grocery store cannolis--these are made with real ingredients--pistachios, peanuts, lemon and orange peels. We also had to grab a piece of cannoli cake. The shop is small, but in the cutest midcentury style building, and in the warmer weather, picnic tables are available outside. Don't be surprised if the staff offer you a fork with your purchases, so you can enjoy the treats right away! The owners also conduct classes, which we really want to attend in the future. They also offer catering. So happy to support this small business!

I don't think I've ever been to an ice cream place with this many options, and my friends had to sample a few flavors to make a decision. The lady that waited on us was very nice, but it's all about the pizza. It was still floppy and soggy, however, it was lukewarm at best. The interior, however, is very dark and could benefit from better lighting. Service was disappointing. Despite having plenty of wait staff and not many customers, we waited long and had a hard time getting attentive service. The food itself showed promise and was flavorful overall. Unfortunately, the pasta was cooked too al dente for my taste, especially the ravioli, which was on the verge of being undercooked. The biggest letdown was the cleanliness. An ant crawled up my arm during our meal, and we noticed several flies, bugs in the dining area. I truly wanted to enjoy and support this local restaurant, but the lack of attentive service and cleanliness issues made it difficult to overlook the negatives.

We had heard they were busy, many times with wait times. So we were surprised. The ambiance is really nice, A really nice Italian dinner restaurant. I started with an Old Fashioned and it was one of the better ones I have had. They really nailed it. There are a couple on their menu so I was sure to say "not the one with soda/selter". That a Wisconsin one :) We asked if the Caesar was large enough to split to start. They said yes. Great. There were 3 tables filled so it was finally not empty. Not sure why the bar seating was empty- looked like a great place to sit too. After ten minutes we gave our order, Chicken Piccata for my wife and I had the Pork Chop special. The waiter didn't come by and we didn't get our salad. He was busy making drinks for one larger party (the 4th table). Finally our entree's came. I asked what happened to our salad. He looked confused. I reminded him we asked if it was large enough to split and we would start with it. He was genuinely sorry. It happens. Then we ate the entree's. My wife's Chicken was flavorful and served hot. It was very good. My pork chop was closer to room temp rather than hot. The flavor was really good. Unfortunately I have a thing about eating my food hot, not on the cold side. I told the waiter. He was sorry and asked if he could have them heat it up. I passed .... Didn't want dryer food while my wife ate alone. The manager came over and insisted it didn't sit at the window. Not sure WHY he wanted to argue this point. I offered the plate so he could taste or even feel the dish at that point. He seemed genuinely wanting to help, but he didn't need to make us feel like we were wrong. Again - not the end of the world. So why 3 stars? My wife's food was great. The taste of mine was good. They didn't charge us for my dinner. Their Old Fashioned was out of this world (ask Omar to make it). The truth is we want to try it again and see if this was a glitch. If it wasn't a glitch, it's why they weren't packed on a Friday night.

When you enter, it is a small place that has a few tables, the main counter/deli, and then a few slot machines. Depending on how many people are in line, it can take a while. There was only one lady working when I went, and there was one person ahead of me, and his order wasn't huge but took a while because of the variety of things they offer. I ordered an Italian beef quesadilla, 12 inch sub, and elotes. I like that you can choose any of their deli meats to put in your quesadilla, and they are not skimpy on the amount they put in, which is nice, especially for the price you pay for a quesadilla. The sub was my favorite. You can choose your deli meat and options to put on it. I've had the sub before because a place had gotten subs catered from there. That's why I went to see where this delicious sub came from. I should have stuck to the subs that was tasty. The elotes, on the other hand, were not. If I knew they didn't use roasted corn, I wouldn't even have ordered. The corn was soggy, and the toppings of mayo, butter, and chili powder didn't even have a great taste. The ingredients were there, but it tasted like nothing. Which is unfortunate. It's close to home, so I'd come back for another sub, but idk if I would get anything else. They do have horchata, but it's just the pre-packaged mix, so I didn't even bother to get one. They have the potential to be a good neighborhood spot
