3.5 stars Walking in…read moretheir pastries look amazing and I was so excited to try. Upon trying, I was disappointed. We got a half round cake coated in white chocolate. It was dry. Ordered a cinnamon pastry, dry. Then we tried another flaky pastry, even more dry. Taste of all though were good so if they weren't dry it had the potential to be good. Full cake was better but their whipped buttercream is super duper sweet. The cake was yummy (ever so slightly dry) but the extremely sweet buttercream was crazy sweet and our guests were removing it. Has potential if their items weren't a bit dry!

The most awesome part about ordering this cake was that I received a complimentary top tier to my cake on my first wedding anniversary. We just celebrated this and the cake tasted exactly the same. The memories of my wedding day flooded back and I was so grateful that Lovin Oven included this with my order.

The shop is small, but in the cutest midcentury style building, and in the warmer weather, picnic tables are available outside. Don't be surprised if the staff offer you a fork with your purchases, so you can enjoy the treats right away! The owners also conduct classes, which we really want to attend in the future. They also offer catering. So happy to support this small business!

I left with a cinnamon roll donut and a apple danish. I was loving the donut as I ate it while driving to my destination. The sweetness, texture, moistness, and cinnamon flavor was all there. I could have ate a couple more. The next day I ate the apple danish. It held up nicely a day later and wasn't all dried out. It was reminiscent of the apple danishes that McDonalds used to sell years ago, but 10x better. The apple filling was a sweet delight that i can rarely find. I really enjoyed the pastries here and everything tasted way better than they looked. If I would have known the goods were going to be great, I would have bought a lot more. To bad I won't be back out that way until next summer.
