Ice races in the Winter are the staple of this place. Nothing beats a Sunday watching the races and coming in to a fresh hot meal. Come in and enjoy yourself or don't, because they're just fine without you.

I tried to cancel online and my reservation was showing as "Not Booked" - so I called the hotel. I was informed my reservation was non-refundable. I tried explaining to the gentleman at the hotel, and was basically informed "To bad, so sad it sucks to be you". I expected to be charged for one night, and than I get email from my Credit Card and they have charged by card for the full week $500+. This is the worst hotel I have ever had to deal with. The front desk staff was rude and not willing to work with the customer. Even if my dates had changed I would not stay at this location if this is how they treat their guests. This has got to be the greediest hotel I have ever dealt with. I can just imagine how they treat the guests in person if they were this awful on the phone.

Breakfast is served nextdoor in an old restaurant. Typical hot & cold items for a hotel... waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt and plenty of coffee! The room was clean and appeared freshly painted. The free breakfast was in the restaurant across from the parking lot. You need to bring your key and show it to the attendant.

Escape for Two is everything you would ever want in a romantic getaway. Secluded and beautiful setting..and amazing romance packages. We stayed in the modern Yurt which is an adorable little round cottage. Its like being in a round one room cottage. We also got to stay on the firefly cabin, where if we had to do this all over again...we would stay here. Because they have a two person hot tub!!! And we will do this again :) The little breakfast packages you get in the morning are awesome! We LOVED the omlets! And if you are willing to splurg on a smoked fish platter...you will be in for a treat! We had snacks for the rest of our stay because of how generous the platter was. We loved staying here mostly because we had a stove to cook and just relax and enjoy our time together. The only thing you can't do is process fish or any game that catch. However if you caught fish...they do have a large freezer available for you to store it. You will absolutely LOVE your stay here. They really made our Honeymoon a dream come true.

There was always a cozy spot to hang out, swap stories, and unwind. And with enough wood to burn for weeks, the fire never stopped! We than put the head table and front and it ended up looking better than if we had not. Overall I would give 2 stars , for lack of communication on their part, because we were told many different on many things by different employees on what time we could get there to set up , if we could move the furniture out , and the random sum of charges that weren't mentioned until after our event The furniture problem cause a big set back the morning of our wedding so I hope our solution helps you (: I would however give 5 stars for beauty in the end , because with enough work , communication and decorating it can be a very lovely venue
