Worst experience at a consultation ever! I wasn't in the chair five minutes and they tried to upsell me. Because I wasn't willing to commit to anything without talking to the dentist they basically blew me off without ever checking my insurance. (I have great insurance) The financial person was extremely rude! She was telling me what the dentist said I needed first and I NEVER SAW THE DENTIST! Too bad I can't give ZERO stars. I can say the receptionist was very friendly. Can't say anything about the dentist since he or she didn't bother to even come in the room to say hello. Will never go to this office again. WATCH OUT for BAIT and SWITCH Zero Stars !! The worst ! I agreed to 1 price and was charged another. 6 weeks and several unanswered text messages later to hear they charge me extra for additional work, but didn't know what they actually did. My 17 yr old daughter needed a procedure and the office never discussed additional work with her parents. ( as noted on the paperwork by Dad) In addition, the paperwork the office gives you to fill out states " if the dentist decides to unilaterally preform additional work on the patient you agree to pay the full amount charged " WHO WOULD AGREE TO THAT ? I did not agree to that and wrote " Only if discussed with her dad and he agrees before any additional work can be done !! They did it anyway and didn't call me or mention it to my wife when she pick up our daughter after the procedure and paid the bill. I called immediately when my wife told me how much they charged her, but Nobody called back and when they did the office couldn't tell me why I was overcharged. never gave me anything in writing, as promised. Gave me the run around, promised to fix it and didn't etc.... 6 - 7 weeks later the office called and said they would refund me 1/2 of the overcharged amount. Its been 3 weeks and I haven't received a refund check . No Parental consent ! Unfair Business Practices ! Complaint to be filed with Dental Board read more

First let me say right off the bat, this is not a corporate machine trying to pump out as many patients as possible. They really truly treat you like family here from start to finish. It started when I called in I spoke with Samantha who was so pleasant and friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. Laura, the manager, is so warm and welcoming and worked with my budget and unlike the office I left didn't put any unnecessary pressure on me to do treatment. You can tell that Dr. Whelan really has a moral compass because he ended up telling I needed LESS work than I thought and really focused on only doing treatment absolutely necessary to keep my mouth healthy. I never felt like they were trying to upsell me, you can tell they truly care about your dental well being. Lastly, Lupe and Julie in the back were patient with my nervousness and after a few minutes of being in the chair I realized I was calm and collected and that's something I've never felt in a dental office before. Thank you ladies for soothing my nerves and making me feel comfortable and confident. The final work Dr. Whelan did on me really brought home the experience. Everyone thinks I naturally have nice teeth and NOT ONE PERSON has realized they are veneers! A+ job Tustin Dentistry team! read more
