Horrible mismanaged company. Threw away our dish, trampled plants, and materials were sitting in our driveway for 8 days.

Just had a fantastic experience with Gary from Loyear - he came out to check my concerns with mold…read morein my basement. Very knowledgable. Did not try to upsell me on anything. He was very honest, polite and thorough. He let me know any priority concerns or not. It was such a great experience and put me at ease working with him, highly recommended to deal with Gary.

I'll start by saying Loyear never actually did any work for me - which is, in a strange way,…read moreexactly why I recommend them. Shortly after moving into our new place, we noticed an area of water damage in the wall and flooring from a leaking drain pipe, which the previous owners had covered with furniture during our inspection. We had the leak itself fixed by Tonka Plumbing, and requested an estimate from Loyear for the remediation work. When Gary showed up, he had a mask, booties, everything you'd expect in 2020. He listened to what our issues were, inspected the damage, pulled out his cool infrared gadget, and gave us his estimate. The surprise came when he then told us that - as much as no business likes to turn down business - our issue was one we could probably handle ourselves. Instead of simply taking our money, he suggested that we give it a go, and call him back if the issue turned out to be larger than we were comfortable handling on our own. So there you have it. 5-star review for a company I never actually hired -specifically because of an estimator's honesty and frankness. Will 100% call them in the future for any water damage/remediation work I need.

Project manager did not communicate any time during the process. Removed flooring but didn't tell me there were staples in the floor. Do sorry about my feet..Left the electrical ceiling fan hanging so you could hit your head against. They cut everything crooked.. they cut into a support beam under my tub while cutting a hole in the floor under the tub . Crawl space below so loved the bugs coming in. would not recommend at all ..avoid them!! Looks about right from the review rating on yelp.

I have no…read morecomplaints about that except when the brought one of the big humidifiers in, they nicked my wall. They were supped to repair it as it was a rather large nick. But they never did. My main problem with them is they installed new cabinets. When they did, the broke my existing stove, (knocked one of the knobs off so it now doesn't work) left a HUGE nick in the countertop AND put the cabinets too close together so my fridge would no longer open even halfway. I am having a new dishwasher installed right now and the plumber is staying he can only do so much because they have it too close to the wall. I now see that they broke the molding on that side too. I had a new fridge installed a couple days ago. They had to install the handle on the other side because the door won't open because of how the cabinets were laid. The project timeline went over, and so at the end they made short cuts which I now have to deal with. I should mention they gave me a quote and then stated later it would be more because the needed to order more flooring. I get that. But I'm the end, they didn't use that extra flooring and now I'm stuck with that. The guys that worked on my house were super nice. I bought them pizza a couple times as I saw the hard work they put in. (Although I was gone when they were working) I did not notice all of these things until after the walk through. Soooooo annoyed. 2 years later and I'm still dealing with these problems. I would definitely try to find a different company before going with them.

I'm not sure how they get an A + BBB rating when they get contacted with a complaint and even do not respond to the BBB. So now I have a window that has wood freezing and turning black when temperatures drop below zero. The blackness is the first step towards rotting away, and `it comes from an inadequately insulated window frame. I know it is not from moisture in the house as I have monitored it and the wood gets so cold it freezes. Since early Spring I have attempted to get someone out to repair it, and one time someone even promised to correct it after a house visit, but then communications were lost again. It's not just that the 5500.00 window will eventually need to be replaced again, it's the fact that the company simply doesn't care about customer service or honor any type of warranty work. The window is a Lindsey window and they only called one time as well then never heard back. Terrible backing of what they sell and install, and apparently terrible quality of the product. A window like this should last 20 or more years and this one is bad at five. I eventually gave up communications and wrote the BBB, and today I get an email that BBB letter to Minnesota Exteriors was never answered. Again, no response! I would not recomend them to anyone for any type of work just because they don't care after the sale is over.
