Turning the Corner helped me gain the tools (job search strategy, resume revisions, application & interview tips) and confidence to land the FIRST job I applied for after using their services! :) Plus, they made me feel like they really cared about me by quickly answering follow up questions through my job search process. I used 2 services that really helped me. First, I did 3 career counseling sessions with Carrie because I was unsure if I was even in the right field. The "work personality test" confirmed that I was looking for the right jobs. It also helped me to articulate my strengths to potential future employers and to evaluate whether jobs and organizations were a good fit for me. Then, I worked with Rose on my resume for 1 session. She showed me new/modern resume formats and explained how to include relevant accomplishments and keywords to tailor my master resume for each job announcement. I know that the new design really showcases my talents to stand out in the few seconds that hiring managers review applications. After my session, I applied Rose's tips to revise my master resume document, which she edited to make it even stronger. Looking for a job made me feel emotional and vulnerable, but Carrie and Rose gave me honest feedback and concrete skills to be successful. I'm so excited for my new job! Good luck in your job search, too... read more

Turning the Corner helped me find the confidence necessary to take the steps towards finding the right fit for me both professionally and personally. I used two services, career counseling with Carrie and resume writing with Rose. The career counseling was very impactful, as I was not sure I was looking for the right roles. The personality assessment and in depth conversation with Carrie helped steer me towards remaining true to what I excel in, as well as identify what job specifics or company cultures will elevate my natural ability or preferences. Carrie continues to make me feel cared for and invested in both during and after our sessions were complete. In addition, I worked with Rose to develop an in depth resume tuned towards the job specifics I am both seeking, as well as highlighting my previous accomplishments. I am now very confident in the master resume I send out to prospective employers, armed with the knowledge that it clearly identifies the talents I feel apply towards prospective roles. Making a career change and looking for new jobs is a rather intense process, but Carrie and Rose excel at making the transition seamless and rewarding. I highly recommend their services! read more

Kendra and her team at Turning the Corner, LLC helped me develop an effective job search strategy, provided helpful knowledge of the region's job market and current demands and worked with me until I landed in an excellent position that offered me a 12% raise and a great career path for my strengths and interests. I was especially impressed by their collaboration with me to update my resume with the most current format as well as powerful wording to most effectively sell my skills and accomplishments. Additionally, their knowledge of social media, especially LinkedIn, was a huge asset in optimizing my visibility during the search. The peace of mind and confidence I gained through knowing that I had such a great team representing me during one of the most important decisions I'll make in my professional life was well worth the investment I made. read more

At the beginning of the year I realized I was bored and restless in my current job. Sitting down with Carrie was a turning point. She helped me identify my core values - and from there it got fun. It was a relief to understand why I had a disconnect and without self judgement or fear I began to look toward what was right and exciting for me. Meeting with Rose took me around the corner. Writing out my accomplishments was illuminating and I knew it was time to go. One I was brave enough to put my credentials out there, I was contacted by several organizations. Ultimately, I chose to work for an individual and organization which matches my core values, my personality and my desire to contribute. Win-Win. I start my new position this month and have never felt more confident and optimistic about myself. read more

I requested the mock interview service with Turning the Corner to improve my confidence in my job hunt. And it's exactly what I received. Ginger was kind and professional, she interviewed me for the exact position I was going to have an interview with the following day and then gave me feedback about how to improve my performance. She also gave me some advice later on about negotiation techniques. I had already done a lot of previous work on my own during 2 months before this, preparing my resume, elevator pitch about me, accomplishments with quantifiable achievements and other key stories. However, having the mock interview with Ginger, provided me with the confidence I was lacking. In the end, my real interview went very well and I ended up getting the job with really good conditions. read more

Working with Kendra was transformative. As with all change, it's not always a pleasant experience, but Kendra was my advocate. She was patient, kind and pragmatic. After attending one of the Job Seeker forums, I scheduled a time for some resume feedback. The thing I think helped the most for me was Kendra asking me some hard questions: What was holding me back? What happened at the last job? What do you want to do? She challenged me to take 100% responsibility for whatever happened last year and to let it go. I did that on a long walk with my poochie. That was so powerful and cathartic. I now have found not one, but TWO dream jobs thanks to my work with Kendra and Turning the Corner. They provide an incredibly helpful service. I couldn't recommend them more. Honestly. read more

Let me begin by acknowledging that the services are a little pricey. Because of this I was hesitant at first and put off seeking their services for a few months, but I finally decided to consider it an investment in myself and I'm so glad I did. I signed up for the career coaching and resume update and could not be happier with the results. Ginger really took the time to get to know me and my strengths and because of this was able to suggest positions to search outside of my career history that I may not have otherwise thought to explore. For the first time ever I'm actually excited about the job search process. I can't recommend their services highly enough. read more

I had a great experience with Turning the Corner. After seriously looking for jobs for about a year, I was given the advice: the reason I wasn't getting the job was due to my lacking interview skills. I had the experience and knowledge for the job but I wasn't showing that during the interview. I worked with Jessica going over practice interview questions and she was able to help me organize my answers and really highlight all my experience. After one month of working with Jessica, I received and accepted a job offer for the perfect job for me. Jessica really helped build my confidence and interview skills. read more

I have already seen real, tangible results and grown my network. Turning the Corner is an excellent place to jump start your career and I am lucky to have had them help me. read more

I worked with Carrie to prep for my medical school interviews. She was very well prepared, reviewed all my school essays to help come up with interview questions, and provided valuable feedback after our mock interview. She was very positive and upbeat. I enjoyed working with Carrie and I plan to use her services again in the future. She even sent me an email on the day I was interviewing to wish me luck! I was very pleased with my interview prep experience with Turning the Corner LLC and I would recommend their services to anyone! read more

I have not been in the job search market for a long time having been employed for more than 20 years. Carrie took me through skills testing and values and legacy exercises which helped me decide what I was best suited, what I should do with these skills, and what kind of a company I want to work for. Rose then wrapped everything into a great resume and Linked In profile. Carrie and Rose really helped me pull everything together for a more focused job search. Their help was invaluable. read more
