Within 5 minutes of arrival was called into the exam room & did wait 15-20 mins so moderate. Saw Dr Stephanie Llanos; fairly young but pleasant personality & didnt rush the appt, explained everything. Only small glitch was 2nd visit this year the European woman said my insurance was rejected even though it's the same insurance w/no changes so i asked her to recheck & it did go thru the 2nd time so maybe a bit careless with entering info so in case that happens you ask her to double check. First removal vist the receptionist wanted minimally half the cost so I paid $ 183.00...I had a total of 5 removals over the course of 4 1/2 weeks...I paid them another $ 183.00 on the day of the 5th removal.....at the end of that week I was scheduled to have the 6th removed and when I got their the receptionist said I had to pay them $ 759.00 because I had not met my deductible yet..I told her that was impossible to do and she said ok you can pay half which would be $ 375.00..which was still impossible as I just paid them &183.00 4 days prior..I said I could pay her $ 50 that was no good enough so she called the office Manager named Candace who told me I had to pay the amount or had the option of leaving my credit card ( which meant they would charge it anyway )..Again said I could not this week...not good enough so she told me she would cancel the appointment saying I declined service......Next thing I knew the receptionist told me my appointment was cancelled and the doctor was seeing other patients..It was more important they get their hundreds of dollars up front then my medical care....unbelievable....I am 51 years old and all my doctors are in union...I pay my bills and have never experienced such harassment by a doctors office to decline treatment for a scheduled procedure....such a shame because the Dr. Kanani is a true smart professional but I need to find a more caring practice as a whole....very sad!!!

I finally gave up trying to see someone here because the communication and scheduling process was…read moreso frustrating that I lost confidence in the practice. For example, when I first called, I was told I was the number three caller. I waited quite a while, and when my call was finally picked up, I was transferred to voicemail, which seemed strange after waiting on hold for so long. I eventually reached someone and scheduled an appointment. A couple of days before the appointment, however, I was notified that the provider would not be there and that I needed to reschedule. I wasn't given an extension or direct number for the person who called me, just the main number. When I called back, I again waited on hold and was eventually transferred to voicemail. Someone later returned my call and left a message, and the same process started over again. After a couple more cycles of missed calls, waiting on hold, and being sent to voicemail, I finally gave up and decided to find another dermatology practice. I can't comment on the quality of the medical care because I never got that far, but the communication and scheduling process made it unnecessarily difficult to become a patient.
