Something that grossed me out where the carpets. Goodness looks like dirt caked into the carpet. We need rug Dr in the house ASAP!!! Or at least a whole carpet removal! Used the restrooms, seemed fairly clean with the exception of a pooped toilet. I made sure to use the restroom in the fartest entrance. Prior to my visit, I had gone to see Zootopia and cannot believe how people on five dollar Tuesday treat the environment where they have wrappers on the floor and it is just pandemonium. Overall, I was rated as a B minus experience, but I really enjoyed the movie Hail Mary. Sadly, on a Tuesday the bigger theaters for $5 Dollar Tuesdays were trashed. Don't people know how to aim at the trash or know to treat other places better or similar to their own homes?

The screens and seats are acceptable. Some screens are better than others. The biggest problem I have found is the lack of sound proofing. You can often hear the movie next door if it is a loud action or horror film. Also, this theater has the worst woman's bathroom. It's dirty and most of the stalls don't work. You would be lucky to find a door that locks or in some cases, closes at all. Popcorn is good when it's fresh tho.

On the national historical registry since 2010. the wife and I were there one evening recently for an ArMack Orchestra performance, the sound within the auditorium is very good and I'm sure in her prime she was a grand venue, but this building has definitely seen better days. The first thing I noticed was the "mushy" smell when you walk into this large space - mold, dust and disrepair are apparent. The art deco interior is still very much there and intact - mostly just needs an update after all the years of neglect. Great stylized cut glass wall sconces, and stylized cut glass overhead light fixtures along with the lobby entrance and foyer details reveal just how great this grand structure was back in its day. High ceiling soar overhead and two huge murals - left and right of the stage reminded me that this used to be a place where people in the town gathered regularly in a different era. This space is now a multicultural facility for the performing arts and monthly movies. Also available for rent for special events, weddings, parties, concerts, etc. This is a special place within old Town downtown Eureka that needs to be used to keep her alive, and is in need of some loving restoration to keep around for future generations. Still a 4 Star venue for all of its awesome architectural details that still exist after seven plus decades. And, a venue that has the potential to be a true 5 star gem - with a little help. 00127

They feature awesome programming like "Science on Screen," when science lectures accompany sci-fi films, and live scores by musicians such as the Invisible Czars. Visiting the theater for their monthly noir night has become one of my favorite activities since moving to the area. Definitely grab a local beer, cider, glass of wine or speciality cocktail while viewing a flick--all proceeds go toward the theater's restoration. Rumors has it that the theater will soon have it's own deco Air BnB for rent upstairs--can't wait to recommend it to out of town visitors :)

However, I knew that I needed Beau for a complicated day of filming for my company. Beau managed to capture the actresses during their constant movement during the filming of the movie, without ever getting in the director's way. That is quite a feat! The photos turned out magnificently, and I smile every time I think back on that day. He was incredibly kind to everyone on set, and provided copies of the photos in record time. A few years later, I kept Beau in mind when I was planning the decor for my office. I chose one of his prints to be blown up and printed for my wall. I am so happy about the print, and he helped deliver it quickly and efficiently. Thank you, Beau!

We actually hired a friends as our photographers & Beau to work the set up & food. Ours was a small, destination wedding &, being from Portland, OR, we needed local help - someone who could essentially do it all. Beau surpassed our wildest expectations in this department. He was ON IT & worked with very little direction setting up tables, preparing appetizers, cooking almost all of our meat on the grill, refilling drinks, etc. Honestly, he was so freaking awesome! I think this is important because Beau is so easy to work with, very hardworking, & an all around nice guy. Who wouldn't want to work with someone like him? On top of all this, toward the end of the day, Beau very spontaneously offered to take portrait photos of us! They turned out unexpectedly awesome & we are so appreciative. Our other photographers also took great photos but definitely of a different sort. I don't know much about photography but he obviously has a great eye & our favorite part was that he was so easy going. Charlie & I are very laid back & the idea of 'posed' photos kind of freaked us out. Now, I'm so glad that he did this for us because they were very professional & beautiful! I would recommend him, absolutely to anyone who is looking for a photographer. Thanks so much, Beau!
