These folks are morons! I keep getting calls from them on a regular basis. Every time, I explain to them that I'm already highly ranked in Google, Yahoo, and Bing for my business category (Sacramento weddings, DJs in Sacramento, wedding DJ MC, etc) but do they take me off the call list? No, they keep calling me back. If they had any brains, the salesmen would know better and check the Google search engine BEFORE making their idiotic calls. After spending $280.00 for a one month paid advertisement and getting about.....5 clicks for the month....?? .....very disappointing! Never in my 12 years of advertising with any company have I had such poor results. Marjhani did a very good job of selling me this placement. There were only 3 business located at the top of the page, but she stressed how I would pretty much always be number 1. That was not my concern at all, since there were only 3 of us. Little did I know the effects of a paid ad versus organic growth. I should have demanded my money back immediately after my paid ad was up and running after seeing a grammatical error. I am selling photography, but cannot spell the word correctly??? Wow! And those words grammatically correct written by Marjhani seemed to jump back at me. When I called her about it, she chalked it off to they must have had too much coffee ! Really?....I ve just paid $280.00 for a business who posts on first page of google my business with the word photographer spelled incorrectly because they had too much coffee . I wrote them regarding these matters and they responded with a generically written e-mail. Later I received a call from Marjhani (who btw is extremely nice) giving me explanations of this and that. Also, they could not reimburse me because they had put too much work into the campaign . Again, really? Got me no where except the little box on top that reads PAID AD . I questioned why it shows paid ad , but she did not know. Not only have I voiced my concerns with them, they still continue to have sales reps calling me....ugh! For approximately one month I dealt with Joe Ramsey, sales division of IdealPosition. It was clearly understood that I was open to working with Ideal Position after being referred by my Mother and long time client of IP. I even went so far as to say that I was open to changing my website to help their service work more effectively. Joe was great, we spoke and he understood that I desired to purchase a 3-Month package payment upfront, as I was not interested in having monthly withdrawals from my bank account. The first contract was delivered per my request, however it came to me as a 1-year contract, monthly renewing and Auto Withdrawals. I went back to Joe explaining it was wrong, and was later delivered another contract. This was exactly the same... or if it was different, Joe didn't seem to argue, but did some research as to what the issue was. I called Joe again asking for the new contract, being very clear as to what I wanted, and he understood it completely with no explanations as to if this was acceptable. I did not receive this contract, and 24 hours later called back and asked where it was? Joe had it sent to me later that day. I checked my Spam filter on the server side, and there was no contract there. It just wasn't sent. Holding the third contract in my hand, I looked and at a cursory glace, saw the exact same contract. I was wrong, they had in fact added a contract stipulation that now said my contract had a minimum of 90 days, yet the contract still had only a 1 month upfront payment plus setup fee, and still had automatic withdrawals monthly from a bank account. I called back, and told Joe that I was not interested in working this way, and that there was clearly a communication error between his desk and whomever is doing the contracts. Joe told me that I could sign the contract as is, and then formally submit a cancellation letter. I told Joe that he could do whatever he wanted internally, but that I was not interested in signing a contract I had to cancel, or doing anything except signing a 3-month contract with payment in full upfront. Joe then transferred me to this person, the Manager named Kevin. Kevin immediately got on the phone with a defensive tone, ready for battle, and interrupted / talked over me, and when I tried to interrupt and say anything, was told to "let him finish". I kept quiet until the end of his tirade, I felt belittled and insulted. After about 20 seconds of silence where I attempted to compose myself, I began to speak and was again interrupted and told I was wrong, and that this wouldn't be a good fit. I asked to speak to the Owner and Kevin would not let me. I asked if he would let me speak at all, and with a venomous attitude came "Go ahead, say what you want to say." To which I responded "You're a dick," and then hung up the phone. I attempted to call back Joe, to thank him for his time, and apologize for how it ended so abruptly, but was transferred back to Kevin, who would not let me speak to the Owner of the Company or Joe. I told him I would be posting on the BBB and Yelp, and hung up. Unhappy with how this conversation went, I attempted to call back Joe and thank him for his time, apologize for this going badly and part company. Instead, I was sent to voicemail, on second call I heard 3 seconds of "It's him again" and then was hung up on. On my third call I was transferred back to Kevin who spoke to me with disdain and told me I was not allowed to speak with Joe, and then I hung up. read more

My personal experience is what I am writing about and it is being filtered? I am a critic of great business, honest business, and competent business. Ideal Positions like another review states, "does what they say". I have been a customer for years and I know the below details are informational to businesses like mine. Haven't we all heard the internet sales call, "Can I speak to the owner or manager? My name is Sally and do you want to be on the front page of Yahoo, Bing, and Google?" The terms like "top placement on Google" or "SEO", and hundreds or thousands of dollars later it is all a lie. After I signed up she sent me a hand written "heart felt" card of appreciation and I was a new account for $90 per month with a couple of keywords. I was paying Google Adwords $400 and doing it myself. Today I am still under $300 a month with Ideal Positions because I added more after the first two weeks went well. I am going to add local listings too, because I cannot keep up. Moreover, I want to focus on my business and that choice is easy when you have a "Dream Team" at your service. It might sound a little mushy, but as an exhausted business owner with failure B2B relationships one after another. When the good one comes you have to reward them, so they stay in business longer and keep helping me grow mine. In 2 months I added 33% more customers which was more than any 2, 4 or 6 month period prior to that. Marjhani was consistent but not to persistent. I took a day or two and then moved forward. The second part that added credibility and separated Ideal Positions from most companies, is the competency factor of the whole team. They are down to Earth. I am saying there were not (still aren't) any weak links. My SEO (search engine optimization) boost and status online they have helped with my website and online presence. I received a sales call from Nicholas Prozo. He was very nice and well spoken young sales rep. The service to move my website positioning in Google to the very top intrigued me. After about 30 minutes of conversation I decided to give it a go. He said he would email me a contract in about an hour. I gave him my visa number (bad idea). I then got a call from Heather, who was also very nice and assured me that she would take care of me. 2 hours later after doing a bit of research myself and going over to contract, I decided it was not going to be in my best interest to go ahead with the service. I called both Nicholas and Heather and informed them of my decision. Now remember, this all transpired in a time frame of 5 hours (noon to 5pm). I got a call from Nicholas the next day and he asked why I decided against the service. I told him the price was too high for my budget at this time. He said he could bring it down to $500. I still decided against the service. After a bit of conversation he said it shouldn't be a problem but he needed to talk to his CVO, Kevin Rex. When Nicholas got back on the phone he said he could not do anything for me and would charge me the $800 for a month of service plus $150 set up. I told him I NEVER signed ANY contract. They said, because I gave them my visa, I agreed to all terms. I told them that is not legal and they were stealing my money and I demanded my money back that was charged right after I hung up the phone on the first day. I asked to talk to Kevin Rex but Kevin refused to get on the phone. I told Nicholas that I would just wait on hold until Kevin got on the phone. After waiting 20 mins they just hung up on me. I called back and the new girl said Kevin would not take me call. I immediately filed a complaint with the BBB, Rip-off.com and called my Visa company to dispute charges. Now I am writing a review on Yelp. I have never, ever filed a complaint with the BBB, Yelp or any other online complaint service. I am discussed on how I was scammed and feel extremely stupid that I even gave them my Visa. Lesson learned but I am NOT done fighting. They are plain WRONG and extremely unprofessional. I have to say Ideal Position is one of my favorite companies that I have worked with. Over 10 years ago by chance I came across them. At first I was only paying them to be on top of google search. At one point I was so busy that I had to turn orders away. Then I started having lots of issues with my website and it was their very sharp and knowledgable staff that had me realize I had been hacked. The company who had done my website had told me that my host was based in Boston Mass. They found out that it was a Indian base host. The merchant services was not working and what have you. They rebuild my website and had a nice working site till it was time to redo it. Since I was so happy with the way they had done my site I commissioned them again for the new site. They worked with me and all my daily demands really well. I told the design team what I wanted for my new site and the end results was just what I had visioned. It seems to be either feast or famiine with these guys in terms of their reviews. Either one star or five stars, nothing in between. Unfortunately, mine is only one star, because although they definitely made the phone ring, they were the lousiest quality calls I've ever received. For example, because one of my criminal defense keywords was "former prosecutor," crime VICTIMS were calling me to try to get their cases prosecuted. I had to tell them to call the cops. The other calls were little better. The type of rabble that paid adwords attract did not make it worth the $1150 I paid Ideal for one month. I don't think I got a single case out of it. Just my valuable time wasted on idiots calling who either couldn't afford my services or were looking for free legal advice. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Ideal Positions, but I know that people make the business, and I was fortunate enough to get matched up with two amazing people: Sara Provancha & Brian Murray. Sara's enthusiasm, her knowledge, her willingness to work with my lower budget started us off on a great foot. She also gave me great assurance that she knew what she was doing when it came to real estate marketing. In the course of our first conversation, I mentioned that I was concerned with my website. While it was eye-catching, I didn't seem to be getting leads from it. She immediately passed my information on to Brian Murray who evaluated the website and made suggestions that might help clicks on my ads turn into true leads. Please understand that at no time did they try to sell me a new website. That wasn't even suggested. I had become quite frustrated with the people who had developed my old site, so I asked Sara & Brian about developing a new site for me. The cost was very appealing - so I moved forward. Brian was very open to my ideas, was open and willing to change something when I didn't like it, and offered up new ideas that I will be implementing in the coming year. I think the ease of working with both of these people is what has stood out the most to me. Sara & Brian are both quick to respond to me, helpful with ideas, and just overall very fun to work with. I'm excited to see where this leads. I know that search engine marketing takes time, but for me it is just one more feather in my cap. It is not my sole method of marketing, but something that I am adding to my arsenal. Sara stays in regular contact with me about my placement and how my budget is doing. Brian has taken the time to walk through Word Press with me so that I can feel more comfortable being in control of my own website.
