Course was in decent shape and 'okay' to play... but experience was ruined by a couple of rude staff members.

A great place to golf, with ample parking and friendly staff…read more Centennial features a Driving Range and a large chipping and putting area in the back, both of which are well-maintained. I have just recently returned to golf and find this club delightful.

Otherwise, this would've been an amazing day. The golf course has many practice areas available that some public access courses don't always offer, like driving range, putting green and chipping area--even a small bucket of relatively clean soapy water to dip and clean your clubs after. A few par 4's to keep the intermediate players interested and not too many obstacles that intimidate noobs like me. There are different wings, north, east, west, each with 9 holes. They will assign you the order you play in if you play all 18. We were paired with a retired couple, and they were sweet and cheered me on when I made some good plays. I'm sure there are better maintained courses out there but it was pretty good for a noob like me that usually plays on smaller public courses. Greens were relatively smooth and the rough isn't too tall that I can't find the ball afterwards. The clubhouse has indoor seating available and serves basic breakfast food, quick bites and refreshments. I appreciate the Haagen Dazs and canned iced Starbucks coffee at the end of my game during a hot day. Strolling inside the clubhouse the vicinity looks clean; Though I rather enjoy my refreshments outside on an umbrella-shaded patio.

The driving range is a bit of a walk from the office where you need to purchase your balls, but the views are great! It'll remind you of the Microsoft desktop picture. There were not very many houses around the course either. Since that time I played the Academy 9-hole course a number of times. I liked the Academy because it was very challenging for a short course. If you miss the fairway, there was a very high chance that you would lose your ball in the rough and/or fescue. The fescue is baaaaad. Don't even bother trying to hit out of it. I finally decided to try out the 18-hole course after years of procrastinating. I played on a Sunday afternoon at 3:01 pm (twilight starts at 3 pm, and super twilight at 5:30 pm). For $65 you get a cart for your 18 holes. I highly recommend getting a cart. There are a lot of hills and you won't enjoy your round if you had to carry your bag. Both the 9- and 18-hole courses are very well maintained. There are some tough spots (we played after it rained) and the bunkers can be brutal. We took free drops instead of playing out of the bunkers, especially after rain. Also a couple of the holes had very strange layouts. There were two greens that were absolutely hidden and nearly impossible to aim for unless you had played it before. Thankfully all the carts are fitted with GPS devices so you know how far you are from the green. The staff and marshalls were all very polite and kind. We had a slow group but the marshall tried her best to keep everyone moving. Their service really stood out to me. I would definitely play Braeben again. For $65 and the convenience of the course's location, I think it's a great value. You might have a tough time if you're a beginner because of the fescue and tight fairways, but there are some easy par 3s and straight 4s to keep you going.
