Beautiful tin ceilings. Friendly service. Very noisy. Good food but pricey. Wine pours seemed less than four ounces,

Nice staff but service was so-so. My guess is some staff not fully trained (no napkins, drinks came out with food, had to get out of seat to flag waiter for bill, etc). Waiter said kitchen could make a potato dish (not on menu) for us and never told us the price. It ended up being 20$, which was over-priced for essentially fried potato with herbs and yogurt sauce. The food (Adana kebab) was very good, but pita bread tastes like what you get from the grocery store. Prices are generally 20-25% above what would be a good value. Would love see this place stay around, but prices don't reflect value for service and quality of food. read more

My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time tonight and it was awesome! A of the ingredients felt high quality and the kebab platter for two was a great deal. We will definitely be coming here again. read more

Excellent service; Excellent food; I have always been reluctant to write reviews but this place is worth it!

I was happy to see this restaurant going in, and now happy to see the good reviews. But OUCH - the entree prices are prohibitive, even as it looks like there's a ton of food included. I hope that they will consider offering more of an a la carte menu at some point, so it's affordable to have a kebab, some rice, and maybe a little salad. And maybe get a liquor license. If I'm going to pay $25 -$30 plus for a meal, I'd like to have a glass of wine with it. read more

The mixed kebob platter was amazing, and our server Ufuk was very friendly and attentive! They were able to accommodate for celiac gluten free without issue. Highly recommend! read more

Amazing Restaurant and Amazing Owners!!! The Kabobs and Adana are the best in Madison I've had. I've been trying to find a place as good as the places I ate at all the time back in D.C. when I moved here and it took 8 years. Better late then never, you won't be disappointed everything I've tried is great and the Baklava is on point too!!! read more

This place is a little hard to find because there's no sign on the front, but go find it, it's so worth it! The menu was small and served to our table family style, and every single thing was so good! The dressing on the salad was light and citrusy, the kebobs seasoned perfectly, and the hummus was very good. Will definitely be coming back. read more

Turkish Kitchen - Selection of kebobs, hummus, bulgur and pita - Turkish Near Me - Madison, Wisconsin

Best kabobs in Madison! We love the food and the owner staff are great! They had a expensive repair to their shop and were closed during repairs. Please consider eating here often, they need customers and you won't regret it. Prices are reasonable for fresh, tasty large portions. Don't forget dessert, baklava is excellent! read more

Great food, great service and very nice ambiance. I hope to eat there again soon. I suggest a reservation.

4 of us were looking for something different and found this. Can't say how authentic it is as it's the first Turkish food I've had, but it was good. Extremely friendly, good service. Food amounts were good. A bit pricey but I thought it was worth it. read more

We visited for the first time on a bustling Saturday night. This place launched immediately into my top 5 Madison restaurants. Food, ambiance, and service were all top notch. We shared the mixed kebab platter for two, which came with some appetizers. The whole thing was very fun. They kept bringing out new items to the point that I had to laugh (we left with probably six more meals of delicious leftovers which I am thoroughly enjoying while writing this.) read more

We had a delighful meal at the new Monroe St location. Warm, cozy, family-run ambience. Absolutely outstanding food. Warm and attentive service. Lots of little free touches. We will for sure be back! read more

Excellent food! Not at all spicy. Meat is perfectly cooked and great quality! Welcome tea is refreshing! The owner is very very nice. I would highly recommend this place! read more

For those of us who still mourn the loss of the Shish Cafe there is finally a great Middle Eastern restaurant in Madison. It is located in the small strip center just south of Woodmans on south Gammon Rd. It is very much a family run business by brothers, a wife, a sweet little daughter and a grandfather. They are all very friendly and welcoming. There is no sign on the outside of the business so just look for the prominent "Istanbul Market" sign. They do have a website that has their menu. https://turkish-kitchen-cafe-halal.business.site/?utm_source=gmb&utm_medium=referral read more

Food is authentic and flavorful. Generous portions. Service was excellent. Very friendly server. Turkish music in the background with classic but simple decor added to the inviting ambiance. Will definitely return. read more

One of my favorites in the area! Wonderful food - fresh and extremely delicately prepared, so very Flavorful! 10/10! The service is excellent as well. Every time my husband and I visit we feel like we are eating a home cooked meal in a cozy atmosphere. read more

Really good food got hummus and pita chips and good prices for them. Fun atmosphere and great location.

Great kebabs, Baklava and extremely friendly people. Don't be in a rush; enjoy the experience.

I came with my wife and her mother and Turkish Kitchen was incredible! It was all of our first times trying Turkish food and it did not disappoint. The owners were very friendly and hospitable to us and we ordered kebabs, hummus, and baklava family style. read more

We were visiting Madison over Easter weekend and went to Turkish Kitchen for lunch. First, the restaurant has nice ambience and lighting, very open and pleasant. There was music playing but it was not too loud. Then, the food. We got lentil soups and split a Turkish breakfast. The soup was piping hot and really hit the spot after a chilly morning outside. Since the breakfast was going to take a little while, the server also brought out pita bread (warm and fresh) with hummus, baba ganoush, and a couple of other spreads. Next, the breakfast. Beautiful plate of cheeses (feta and another mild cheese), olives, fresh cucumber and tomato. The eggs were perfectly cooked in a tomato and sausage sauce with melted cheese on top. Also a nice selection of honey and preserves to go with pita, plus of course Turkish tea. Overall a really lovely meal and I look forward to eating there again when we are next in town. read more

Wow!!!! We dropped in here for lunch and were blown away. You walk in and the ambiance is so pleasant. Tin ceiling tiles, lovely music and an arched doorway. The service was quick and they immediately gave us a small cup of hot tea. A fantastic palate cleanse but also delightful after the cold temps. We ordered a chicken kebab and hummus. When the food arrived they accidentally gave us extra. The service was incredible. Mistakes happen but not only did they let us take the extra home but they offered dessert. The manager and the server apologized more than they had to. The service and kindness blew me away. For them any error could destroy the experience. They truly understand the art of creating an incredible experience. Then there was the food. That is the best chicken kebab I've had in years. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Every plate beautifully balanced in flavor. This is by far my new favorite place. read more

Had an incredible experience with friends at the Turkish Kitchen on Gammon Road. Appetizers were fresh, hummus, baba ghanoush and cacik were all tasty and delicious, each came with pita bread. Meals were prompt with friendly service, overall excellent food. Lamb, chicken and beef kebabs were all tender and mildly spiced to perfection, salad was refreshing and crisp, roasted vegetables were tasty and not overcooked. A great place to bring your family or a night out with friends! read more

The food is decent but was sad to see one of the employees was not wearing a mask and waiting on tables as well as cooking clearly in violation of Dane county's mask mandate. read more

The food was amazing, very well cooked with lots of flavor. It was definitely something new since there is not much middle eastern food around here. We really liked the tea they serve you for beverage we were even brought water without asking. It's like the waiter new what we needed. Plus the staff is very nice. The only downside is the atmosphere. It looked like it was starving from some style. There were also no signs or anything indicating that it was Turkish restaurant. read more

Locally owned Mediterranean restaurant. Very good food--not spicy (heat wise) but very well-spiced. The hummus is fantastic. It's a simple, clean spot in a strip mall. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind. Please give this place your business: Would definitely recommend coming here!! read more

So, I arrived, and was pretty hard to tell which store it was among all of the other, as it was crammed into the parking lot with many other stores! The sign was pretty dimly lit, and it was pretty unnoticeable overall. Then, we walked in, and we were immediately seated by a friendly waitress! There was relatively loud music playing, so we asked to have it turned off, and they did! Then, we ordered our food, which went very well, (even though there is a Relatively small selection of five different kebabs). Then, after some waiting, they decided to open the door to try and get in some fresh air or let out some smell! But it was about 40° outside! So that was bad... Then, we waited a long time more for our food, while we notice something peculiar! They seem to be bringing in certain foods that were served, from the store, next-door, and just heating them up! Also, there is no real kitchen in the restaurant, and it was all just being grilled on the small grill behind the restaurant (though this may change over time, or with development of the restaurant)! During all of this waiting time, though, we did have a good amount of time to look around and talk, and it was a pretty nice, simple ambience, with interesting things on the wall, but certainly not overcrowded! Then, (finally), our food came, and it smells delicious! When we tried it, everything was pretty good. though certain meats were a little bit mushy... I am also not a meat expert, so I'm not sure exactly what texture they were supposed to have. Overall, they tasted great! They weren't incredible, but their price doesn't reflect fancyness either way! Speaking of price, they were relatively cheap, and Affordable. Then, after our food, the waitress came over and picked up our plates! We had to wait a while longer, to get a check, because there was a lot of takeout orders being picked up, which was slowing down the food delivery process for tables, and the serving time for tables. After finishing our meal though, it was awesome because we could just go into their store, next-door, and pick up any dessert we wanted! Oh,, it was a pretty enjoyable experience with certain long, wait times, and decent food for the price! read more

Incredibly fresh food (we got the adana kebab and the lamb kebab, both were fantastic), excellent service, great atmosphere. An absolute gem, perfect way to spend a Saturday lunch. Cannot recommend this place, its food, its staff, strongly enough. read more
