I went to Sheetz on New Year's with my mom to get free cappuccinos because she had two free drinks…read moreon her Sheetz app. The lady at the counter was super rude when she scanned our phone three times for three drinks, but still insisted that we needed to pay for one of them. We even tried offering our phone again, thinking maybe one scan didn't go through, but she just rolled her eyes at us and refused. She kept arguing with us and wouldn't do anything to help. After finally scanning our phone again, it went through, and she just said, "Now, go enjoy those free drinks..." Her attitude was so unprofessional and rude, especially on a holiday. I've heard similar complaints from four other people who had bad experiences with this older lady too at the front counter as well.

I have been to many Sheetz locations all over PA, MD and VA and this one is seriously the worse…read more The only real reason to stop here is to get gas if you have the app so you save a few cents over the local stations. This location is always under staffed and if you stop in during breakfast lunch or dinner you will be there forever. I have ordered food here three times with my wife and if it is not a deli sandwich it's going to get messed up. I understand it's really the only option for 5 or so miles but this one is just not operating correctly. They do Sheetz food, but they do it so incredibly wrong it's mind boggling. If your going to be this understaffed for this long, limit your menu. (Just an FYI my three visits have been over the last 2 years as I live 10 miles away). Also don't use their app to get food at this location. Great place to get gas, but advise it for anything else.

This Walmart has it's good and bad points like every other Walmart. For the good, it has a rare…read moreWalmart Fuel Station that has competitive gas prices. Parking is more than adequate. What I like about this Walmart vs. the Bloomsburg Walmart, is this store seems to have a better and more frequently restocked selection of items. The selection of items in the freezer section stands out. Where this Walmart loses out is due to being in a high theft area, a significant number of items are behind glass or locked up in some form. If a store does this, they need to have employees available at all times to come and get the items unlocked. This store does not seem to have those employees in the evenings to pull this off based on the roughly 10 minutes wait I had on a Friday evening. I left without the item. The self-checkout systems here are not as user friendly as other's I've seen, and the area to use them is constrained in space on the grocery side. This is also probably due to theft issues. Overall, I do like coming to this Walmart despite it being out of my way for the better selection compared to the Bloomsburg store.

Now I worked for Walmart years ago an I told my husband, that's a sign that it's old ,don't buy it. HE DIDNT LISTEN . And now he has diahrea, fever. Sweats. 15 mins after. He got fish poisoning. Don't eat anything from Walmart with yellow stickers!!!

Surplus Outlet is an outlet grocery store and you need to fully understand that when entering…read more There are potential deals here, but you have to know your prices and watch your expiration dates. Store is located just outside of Northumberland on Route 11, immediately next to the American Legion. Parking lot can get tight if the store is busy and it's built on a downhill slope, so unattended shopping carts can roll away. What will you find product wise? A decent fresh fruit/vegetable section. Frozen food section with a lot of discontinued products. Tons of canned good including bulk #10 cans. This location off season sells various fountain fireworks. They also have small kids toy selection. Compared to the Berwick store, this one feels like it has less stock in general. Why I knock a few stars off is you need to check expiration dates on EVERYTHING. No exceptions and at this store they are less well marked on items like cereal. Toiletries and other general pharmacy items are not competitively priced. Paper products have about the same quality as generic items at Dollar General (not great.) Overall, I like Surplus Outlet, and it's worth stopping in to see what they have.

We discovered this discount grocer while camping at nearby Splash Magic. I'm a fan of discount…read moregrocers over traditional grocery stores so finding one so close was a Godsend as we typically buy our food in the area we stay instead of bringing it from home. The store is spacious for a discount grocer and had a large section of beauty and health products, more so than others. Many were damaged packaging or expired but that's to be expected. What I didn't expect was such a large and impressive freezer and produce section. Had I had more room in our travel trailer camper I would have bought a ton more! Prices were low and the selection was very broad and fully stocked. Ditto for the produce which looked to be in very good condition and not "seconds". Since discount grocers tend to carry discontinued products I did find several items I'll probably never find again, but at least I enjoyed them once! The staff on the floor was also helpful in directing me to the dept I was looking for. The cashier however had the personality of a slug, and when hubby and I tried to engage in conversation with her she made eye contact but no response. Four stars because although they had a cart wipe station the wipes were completely dried out. A sign at the door insisted there would be no entry unless masked. However a big family with a ton of kids (all touching stuff and a muck around the store) ignored the mask rule and were allowed entry. Also when I tried to go back Sunday on our way home to stock up they were closed. No Sunday hours is a huge let down.
