But the Kohut team instantly put us at ease, and have been fantastic. For starters, they're just a pleasure to work with. They're all friendly but unobtrusive. They're happy to work on their own without ever interacting with you, but they're quick to return a wave or a smile. They also work VERY hard. You are definitely getting value for your dollar here. Furthermore, I TRUST these folks. That previous landscaper I mentioned kept using increasingly-dodgy-looking workers that left us feeling a bit nervous. In sharp contrast, the Kohut workers all come across as intelligent, responsible, and respectable. And the results? In a word, beautiful. When we first moved into our house 15 years or so ago, the yard was a bit of a mess. Now it's among the best in the neighborhood. These guys are not just hard workers: they also have a great eye for layout and design and color. Even more importantly, instead of foisting their vision onto us, they have worked with us to find a design that fits in with OUR vision of how our home should work. In addition, we have some unusual requirements such as a certain attachment to existing flora and an aversion to toxic chemicals, that the Kohut team accepted without batting an eye, and then worked within those restrictions. While we use them primarily as landscapers, their talents extend far beyond that. For instance, we had some cracks forming in our concrete steps, which they repaired seamlessly. (I can't even remember where the cracks were; that's how seamlessly they fixed them.) I've also recently learned that they do snow-plowing as well, and we'll probably take them up on that for heavier snowfalls. I'm sure you could find cheaper landscapers, but I doubt you could find better, and I'm almost certain you won't find better value for the dollar. We've worked with Kohut and Son for years, and we plan to work with them for years to come.

My dad's friend was doing a project on his home when my dad happen to drive by on the way home. My dad was so impressed with the work that they did that he ended up hiring this crew. Biagio was professional and gave us an accurate price based off of his assessment. There were no run arounds or cutting corners from when we spoke to him about the project to signing the contract, demo and construction to the final day. Shoutout to Biagio and his crew for coming through and making our back yard wall and side wall look nice compared to what it looked like before. He and his team were absolute professionals in how they started and completed this project at our home. In a two day span they demo'd two walls and constructed new walls the proper way compared to how this was when we moved here in 2005. It feels good to sit in the backyard now whereas before it wasn't aesthetically pleasing and didn't flow with the home. I can't stop thinking about the backyard wall! Quality work by a quality crew of workers. I highly recommend this crew for any home project that you may want done.

Long- winded, but for a very good reason!! I had initially found Mr Biaggio of Masonry Pro online - noticed how everyone had very nice things to say about him as I'm a "People Person" so this is what drew me! Reaching out and describing the difficulty level of re-doing a STEEP new retaining wall, right above the Ramapo River - making it even further complicated- his ability, detailed plan of attack and confidence to provide a lasting solution. His crew did an Excellent job of regrading, building a new support system for the wall that'll preserve our back yard. After that was concluded, we had immediately hired them to re-do our entire driveway and walkway afterwards! They performed and worked non-stop, exceptionally under dire temperatures during this past blazing Summer 2024! I had to tell them to slow down... take a break... Keep hydrated - - I can't say enough good about them all! Each and every one of them were the kindest people you'll ever get a chance to meet! A++

Use Propainters if:…read more You want a team of professional craftsman and skilled painters to make your house look like new again. Propainters took our house from a 25 yr old grey rub. Down color and updated it to a white stain with black gutters and we are so happy. From the first moment I met the owner Jefferson I could tell that his knowledgebase to tackle a project like mine was truly spectacular. Incredible knowledge about the types of products to use, the color advice as well as all the nitty gritty of how to make the gutters aesthetically pleasing and function. First off the prep. This team spent days sanding, sealing, and refurbishing my 25 year house before applying the stain to the hardy plank. I was beyond impressed with the carpentry (very affordable) to replace wood trim around 6 of my windows, replace 6 sofit/fascia boards, and install trim along the roofline to help the rain water not damage the hardy plank cement boards like it did in the past. Jeff ( one of the carpentry guys) was also able to replace several pieces of rotted hardy planks as well. This detailed and skilled work gave me what now looks like a new house ready for the next 25 years. Next came the stain color and application. Jeff, Jasmine and the guys did days of prep to protect anything that should not be painted by taping and applying plastic prior to spraying the house. The work was very precise and lead to an outcome of perfect lines and transitions. I forget his name but they had an extremely talented painter who did meticulous work to make sure each square inch of the house was perfect. We had white 25 year old windows and this team painted the windows (not the wood trim but the windows themselves) a black stain. This was a big move for us that we were nervous about so Jefferson painted a sample one to make sure it was right for us. They came out beyond perfect and the house now looks like it has 100k plus of brand new windows for a fraction of the cost. Lastly but not least the gutter project by jasmine was executed to perfection. The removal, prep and installation were flawless. They installed 6 inch (from previous) 4 inch gutters in black. They are pitched perfectly and the crew spent days working on aesthetics to make sure the layout would not only be functional but very aesthetically pleasing. When the project was done the crews did an affordable but beyond thorough job power washing every inch of the property. We were very thankful for the detailed work to make everything beautiful. I would be remiss if I di not mention how helpful Chelsea was via email and phone as the project went on. Always patient with my indecisiveness which we were very thankful for. In summary, do not hesitate to use Propainters as they have the most attention to detail, skill and pride in their work that I have ever seen in a company. BLOWN away! Thank you Jefferson and team
