Another Middle Eastern themed coffee shop in OP, so must be revealing to the changing demographics here. We came here when the other middle eastern coffee shop that recently opened too disappointed with loud Middle Eastern music, and this place had it too but not as loud, and of course not surprising, sort of like when you go to Jerusalem Cafe, same thing, but it's an understandable feature, and I'm okay with it because it's after all it's an Arabic coffee shop. The place is nicely laid out and planned out. The pastries are delightful. I am sure the baklava here is great, but my husband and I had the dubai chocolate cookies, and they had a pistachio filing that was a very nice surprise. I had a Kanfeh latte, which had pistachio and my husband had a Tiramisu latte, and we went along with the barista who told us that they were both very sweet, and so we asked light on the sweetness, but wish that we hadn't because they aren't sweet at all, and the espresso shots in them? I couldn't honestly tell you they had any. My Kanfeh latte, which was the barista's recommendation over the baklava latte, had pieces of pistachio? I thought I was back in Italy. It harkened me back to the time I asked a barista there for a pistachio latte and it was hot milk with maybe a espresso shot, and pieces of pistachio---all lost in translation, and no pistachio syrup. This place doesn't have it either, so, there's that. I may try their brewed coffee next time or something else, but will perhaps skip a latte. The service is good, its still a new shop, but they seem to have it managed well.

So... I hate to be the only person to give a lower score... I ordered a fig matcha and I'm unsure if the fig is just VERY light, or if they forgot the fig. Because there was no hint of fig, nor was there any sweetness. They did have some bakery items that looked so good, and I didn't see them when I got the drink. I'll have to come back. Plenty of seating, loved the decor. Tried the cardamom latte as well, and that was amazing!

A lovely and new study spot in Overland Park! We got the fig matcha latte and baklava latte, both drinks were absolutely delicious. The fig latte is on the sweeter side but it's such a unique flavor and must try. The service was fast and we didn't wait long for our drinks. Lots of places to sit, chat and study. I also love that there are outlets here too. Can't wait to try the food next time!

Just checked out Turath Coffee that recently opened in OP, and overall it's a great addition to the area. The ambience is really nice--modern, aesthetic, and super inviting. The whole place smelled amazing, and their pastries and menu items all looked really interesting. I tried their signature Turath latte. It wasn't my absolute favorite latte I've ever had, but it was still solid and definitely worth trying. I noticed a lot of people ordering matcha, so I'd love to come back and try that along with some of their other latte options. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the place was pretty busy, which is always a good sign. Excited to come back and explore more of the menu!

Just a month or so after the areas first Yemini coffee shop opened 20 blocks south of here - Turath Coffee is open and billing itself as an Arabic coffee experience. The space is fairly large and open with a simple yet elegant design with pottery, drinking vessles and tapestry hung from the ceiling. Many unique beverages can be ordered along with basic espresso offerings. I went with theri signature Turath Latte - made with date syrup and spices and topped with a cold foam. A solid iced beverage that I would order again. The pastry case was a bit disappointing - at least in comparison to their competetion down the road. Nothing stood out to me and with the elevated prices, I skipped having a treat and splurged at a bakery later in the day. The accoustics could be better also; with multiple conversations trying to over-ride the constant buzz of the blenders during a busy lunch rush kept the decibles higher than I want for a cafe. Certainly worth another visit, but not near the top of my go-to list.

Brand new coffee spot! Ambiance is incredible, might be one of the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shops around. I had the Yemeni latte, which has cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves- so delicious and perfect amount of spice without being too much. Definitely recommend stopping in here, need to try some of the desserts too!

This coffee shop is a must GO! Aesthetically different, vibes and a great place to pull up to open a laptop up. I got their baklava latte and it was delicious! I also tried a Lotus cookie and same. Their Turkish coffee is nice and strong and I can wait to get back and try more. The staff was helpful and answered all my questions. Definitely, out this on your list.

Had a lovely chai tea here, plus a FABULOUS savory cheesy bread and a baklava to go... Loved the music... Can't wait to come back and get work done on the wifi for hours and really soak in the beautiful atmosphere!

We came in for their soft opening and were immediately impressed! The ambiance was stunning - there was plenty of seating space and the decor was beautiful. There was a good line but it moved very quickly. The menu options were incredible, but we came a bit too early and didn't get to try their mankeesh quite yet (hope to do so in the future)! I really enjoyed the knafeh latte - it was the perfect balance of being flavorful without taking away from the quality of the coffee. Overall, this was a wonderful spot for having just opened in OP and can't wait to see how they continue to grow!

I tried Turath for the first time last weekend and it was awesome to see it packed! I tried the tiramisu latte and I would give it a 4/5 - I wish i could taste a little more of the coffee, but the taste itself was good! I love that it is open late and the decor is really pretty! I would love to come back and try a different flavor!

The overall style of the cafe was absolutely breathtaking ; it was cozy, modern and minimalistic. Perfect for a coffee date with friends or partners and plenty of seating. I had ordered the Fig matcha with oatmilk and the quality of the drink was 10/10! I loved the cute fig topping and I could tell high quality matcha was used and was made with high craftsmanship! I also got a Baklava which I have never had one before, it was sweet and paired well with the matcha! Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be stopping by!

The space is very large with multiple seating areas, quiet corners, plenty of open dining and enclosed room dining as well. It has a walkthrough to the bakery side along with mini store selling cups, Messner Farms merchandise and more. Now I really enjoyed my CBS: marinated chicken, bacon, red onion, cheddar cheese, tomato and chipotle mayo on brioche potato roll.. sounds pretty good huh! It was devine! Those combined ingredients made for one of the best chicken sandwiches hot or cold (because I could finish it in one sitting) I've had! Now I picked at the chicken solo and it didn't have too much flavor but as a sandwich everything comes together well! I wasn't too impressed with the Mudslide.. it was dreary, no hit of chocolate or creme so I'm not sure what it was supposed to be. My mom said the match with honey syrup was decent. Everything for the price definitely ensured my only trip.

First of all, be sure not to blink because the sign isn't very visable and the location is unassuming from the outside, abeit a very clean exterior. Walking in, I love the vibe, trendy but not pretentious, grounded yet modern and a fair amount of people but not overflowing. Yessiree Bob, this is my kind of place. Oh and the baristas are patient, kind and willing to offer advice based on your individual tastes. I've been here several times; however, my eating habits preclude me from indulging in anything outside of berries. Do the apple fritters, donuts, muffins and other items look outstanding, of course they do. In fact, my buddy whom I generally meet there has raved how good the pastries are and after living in Austin and trying home made poptarts, I'm still kicking myself for not trying them. However, the path to maintaining a healthy weight and figure is paved in discipline. I must admit they nailed the ambiance. The cement floors are patterned with what looks like dark wood textured tiles and the walls are a warm burgundy, emitting a certain visual warmth. The hanging art amuses me, sometimes it's movie paintings, sometimes its modern art while other times it's eclectic and I've never figured out their rotation, but I appreciate it. The hanging lamps offer a bit of 2010 mod while the open coffee service area proudly displays all of the tools of an expert craftsman. The counter area has a small display case enticing the sweet tooth and the chalk boards give a simplistic view of their menu, but they also offer daily "experiments" that are fun to sample. The first time I came, I tried the Café Au Lait which was very strong, robust and full of lasting flavor. The 12oz amount seemed to be about perfect for my needs. The next time I dropped by I sampled the Dulce de Leche which was a mistake. Why, you might be wondering? Because I've never ordered anything else since then and I always get the 16oz. It's smooth, a little softer on the coffee flavor while balancing it with the strong caramel notes. I know it's probably got more calories than I want, but hey, that's why I'm not eating! They also have some pretty good selection of home ground coffees from places like Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Brazil and other far, far away locations. Come to think of it I don't recall if they have any Hawaiian beans which are pretty trendy now (Kona is a great coffee!!) Oh I forgot to mention they do have a fast wifi but please for the love of God, don't be that geek in the corner pretending to write the great American novel in the corner. That's so.... 2000s.... Overall, this is my favorite coffee shop in Overland Park and it's not even close. Stop on by for the best coffee experience you'll have in the area!
