He spent about 12 hours with us and never once complained. He was always helpful, especially when unloading our bags, and made the entire day run seamlessly. One of the highlights was when he happily stopped so we could watch and take pictures of a bear we spotted in Yosemite. That extra bit of flexibility made the trip even more memorable. I also tend to get carsick, but both of our drivers were exceptionally smooth behind the wheel, so I never had any issues. The bus itself was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. Right when I walked through the front door the middle aged gal at the front desk was rude. No hello ,no welcome in. She just stood there . I went up and introduced myself as she has stood there in silence , and proceeded to ask for a room for the night. ( I had never stayed before) . She started typing away and looks up at me very rudely and says " you are on the no rent list" I was in complete shock as I had never stayed before. I said " you must have the wrong person I have never even been here" . She said " sorry it says what it says " . I then asked to speak to the manager and her response?!.. "I am the manager ". Oh great! SMH She never explained anything ,did not apologize . I just left. I found out later from my husband that HE had been kicked out when he was a kid . So that must have been it. The hotel is older and consists of 2 nice sized building along with the really nice pool area that is right at the street. The pool area sits above the street offering a cool view of this beautiful historical town.. the area is fenced/gated so you'll need your room key to enter the area. There are towels available and nice chairs, loungers and tables with umbrellas... The parking can get tight especially when the hotel is full. It's free to park also. There is some parking available in front of some of the rooms and parking behind the hotel. The hotel is 3 stories and there is no elevator. There are stairs and they are a bit cumbersome. Our room was cleanish, beds comfortable, plenty of pillows, alarm clock, frig/microwave, Flat screen TV, remote controlled air/heat in room... it was hot and it kept our room very cool... small closet area with 3 hangers and luggage rack thing, iron and ironing board. Bathroom is roomy but has limited counter space and shower is cramped... at least to me.. They have body wash in the shower and there is a place for probably shampoo/conditioner but it was broken so we just had body wash.. hairdryer didn't work nor did the outlet in the bathroom. There is a coffee maker with Coffee/Tea, cups and the packets with sugar/creamer, Ice bucket and hand lotion. There is a small wall heater in bathroom also! Warmed the bathroom right up oh and a large backlit mirror. There are no outlets to plug anything in except the one on the light between the beds. Breakfast was, well there is opportunity to improve this on so many levels. I SPEAK FOR ALL OF US WHEN I SAY NOBODY LIKES STEAMED FROZEN WAFFLES OR SAUSAGE! GROSS! NOBODY LIKES COLD SYRUP EITHER AND BREAKFAST IS FROM 6am - 9am THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT YOU START TELLING YOUR GUESTS THAT CHOOSE TO STAY HERE PROVIDING YOUR INCOME THEY NEED TO FINISH UP BECAUSE THE DOOR WILL BE LOCKED AT 9am. DO NOT HIRE - WORST SERVICE…read more We hired this company as a shuttle to take our guests to the after party after our wedding, and then back to the hotels after the after party. Due to the number of guests the shuttle agreed to make two trips to transport everyone. It arrived on time at the end of the wedding, guests got on, it left for the bar, and then we waited. And waited. My husband finally called them after about an hour and they said they would be there in 15 minutes. We kept waiting. Finally my father went ahead to the bar where the afterparty would be, and on the way he ran into the shuttle which had broken down. He stopped to help, our DJ went over to give them a jump, and meanwhile everyone still waiting at the wedding had to scramble to find alternate transportation to the bar. By this point many people had left the after party due to the late arrival of the bride and groom, and it really ruined the mood the rest of the night. The shuttle did eventually return to bring us back to the hotel, where it only had to make one trip. After this terrible experience we emailed with the management, asking for a 50% refund as the shuttle only did half the job. They refused to refund that much and in the end we only got a $200 deposit back. I understand that things happen, but if they had only communicated honestly the situation may have been able to be fixed earlier with alternate transportation. It was really a down way to end our wedding. This company is not transparent and I warn everyone against hiring them.
