"Hole in the wall" is the first thing that came to mind when entering Tumby's Pizza. Super cozy, mom and pop, no frills pizza shack in Inglewood. I'm not sure how me and my girlfriend came across Tumby's but glad we did. We ordered a greens salad with a medium Deluxe Pizza no olives and it was delicious. A little food hack/tip: order the pizza well done for a crispier cheese and crust texture. Very delicious pizza spot. It's a cold, rainy, nasty day in LA, so I wanted pizza delivery. I try to avoid big chains, so I ordered Tumby's. The pizza was...."OK". Decent crust, an underwhelming amount of toppings and cheese, and though the restaurant is less than 3 miles away, it arrived cold. Honestly no better than a big chain pizza, and worse than some. Let me start this review off by saying I didn't choose this spot because I wanted "authentic" pizza or Italian food. The cheesy garlic bread was even better! If you receive your order hot, there's no way you can not like the bread. I didn't taste the pizza, but my kids enjoyed it. My daughter who eats cheese sticks just about everywhere says theirs were her favorite so far. If you're a fan of Jack in the Box's cheesecakes, you'll like the brand of cheesecake they have. This is a good thing. Sorry cheesecake snobs, I love me some! I believe the brand was Eli's and now I'll be craving it. The only item I didn't care for was the lemon pepper wings. That's a tough one because I like to say I make some pretty good ones and these just didn't compare. Skip the wings, order more cheesy bread. We ordered our food via Grubhub and even with our driver accidentally delivering it to the wrong hotel, then having to grab it and bring it over to our hotel, our food arrived fresh and hot.
