My husband chose Waffle Fries to go with his Cheeseburger and I had Refried Beans. Their unsweet iced tea was terrific. Our server was going to be Victoria. We were seated in the bar section of the restaurant. She was at our table before I could get my coat off, she was so quick. She took our drink orders and brought them immediately. We also asked for chips and queso. We really enjoyed the yellow Queso. She brought our burgers out and they were so good. They were cooked perfectly, the buns were really good. I took the lettuce and tomato that I had put on the side and turned it into a salad. I really enjoyed the refried beans and my husband thought his waffle fries were perfect. It was about 6:00 when we got there. It was bitter cold that night, but the restaurant was warm. They have a door that opens into a foyer that keeps the restaurant from getting cold. They are open til 10:00. They have a lot of Door Dash/Uber drivers that come and do pick ups. They also have a carry-out pick up door on the left side of the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and very spacious. The staff was so nice and we met Chris, the GM. Victoria was really sweet, was very efficient and checked on us a lot. She brought me an iced tea to take with me and brought me a box to take the rest of my food home. The restaurant volume was low. They had TVs with closed captions. Their main entrance to the restaurant was a long ramp on the side of the building. There were also steps on the front of the building too. Plenty of parking for handicapped and traditional cars. Our server Richard was very helpful. I got the white chili and asked for avocado on the side. But the surprise was that he poured the chili into a taco shell that made a great bowl to eat chili in. This place is not good. I am a huge fan in general but this place was terrible. Our waitress was superb even though it took forever to get our food and the place was mostly empty. We asked for the fresh guacamole to be made table side and they obliged and It was great. However , when I got my deluxe burrito, it looked like it had been sitting out for a week. The sauce had dried up, the beans were crusted over and it was lukewarm at best. My nephew's chicken tenders were overcooked to a dark brown color. This place used to be good. It has gone downhill! Pretty sure we got the worse waiter possible. She was very rude took forever for everything. Got everyone's order wrong then blamed it on the kitchen when other waiters didn't have a problem with the orders being wrong. Had like inch long nails that she was digging in her ear with then proceeded to bring people chips that her nails were touching and I'm pretty sure that's against health violations alone. Forgot three different items in my whole order. Then proceeded to take 25 minutes to bring me my change. Tables are sticky and dirty! Not sure if they got new management but it's horrible. Well we have lived here for a year and we finally made it over here to Tumbleweeds. This is an awesome place for lunch. Omg I can't say enough. We had a Jr. Burrito, Taco salad, and a kid's cheeseburger. Andrew was the best waiter, he was in top of everything and made sure that we had everything. He recommended the good stuff. I've been to tumbleweed many of times in my life and I'm glad they re-done the building and make it look more modern it looks good summer when it caught fire probably about 15 years ago. But anyway it's it's right there on Outerloop offers a good selection it's your Southwest which means they offer a lot of Mexican dishes along with like steaks and ribs and things so you can get a Lotta good stuff here at tumbleweed it's still not my number one go to for any of it but it is good to have occasionally my wife doesn't like it so we don't get to go very often I wish she did because I'd like to go back read more

I have been coming to this Tumbleweed bar for many years and have met some great people. Our group known as the "Thirsty Thursday" crowd have eaten dinner and had drinks every week for years on Thursday nights. We have recently began listening to some our favorite music from our I phone speakers and using a child's microphone to have sing along while at the bar. The music is always clean, no nasty words only at bar later in evening when there r barely any people there. We were told we could not listen to our I phone music from our little I phone speaker as it was against Tumbleweeds policy. The GM was nasty and when we questioned his reasoning for this he called the police and had us thrown out. Several of my friends have emailed corporate asking for someone to contact us and none of us have gotten a response. We frequent the shepherdsville Tumbleweed. We usually sit at the bar to eat. They have cold beer and a great happy hour. We ordered the Bogo 6 oz sirloin tonight and it was cooked perfect. Tumbleweed has always been at the top of my list for TexMex. I'm in love with their Beef Burrito Deluxes. They always have the perfect amount of beef to cheese ratio and the sauce is to die for. It's definitely something you can eat and open your sinuses up at the same time. That's why I usually order a frozen strawberry margarita on the side. Cools down the mouth. My absolute favorite part of every stop here is the chips and queso. Do yourself a favor and order the salsa with it and dip your chips into the queso and then into the salsa before chowing down. The combo is amazing. It's the only place I mix like that. The service here is amazing. The waitress we had was completely attentive and super friendly. She even brought us over a ton of extra salsa that didn't get eaten and didn't get mad when I told her my date was allergic to peppers and couldn't eat it. Every time I go to tumbleweed, I always get the Chile Mango Salmon along with the rice and veggies. The salmon sits on potato Planks , which I think are very delicious. So we have been to tumble weed before but not this location. My boyfriend and I came in to eat on a Saturday evening around 5:45. There was no wait. We were sat in a very nice big booth which I liked. There was plexiglass in between to help with social distancing. Our service was okay. She seemed a little overwhelmed and she was forgetful. The food was good. We usually order the same thing. My boyfriend didn't want any garnish and his good came out with two big piles of lettuce and tomatoes so he was a little disappointed in that. Overall it was an okay experience. We will go back for sure because this is his favorite restaurant. We do hope to have better service next time though. read more

Let me tell you something about this location. I have the upmost respect for the manager and the district manager of this location. A few months back this location had a fire and I responded for my job to offer assistance. The district manager Mohammed was more concerned about his employees than fixing the building. That showed me that he truly cared about his people and that is the most important thing with being a manager and way more important than any company coming in to do insurance work. His employees wanted to work so he employed them to clean the building. My hat goes off to this management. I have seen plenty of losses in my day and this was the most caring act I've witnessed! I don't know why Tumbleweed has such bad reviews! My family and I used to eat here two or three times a week, but we've obviously cut back because we started to branch out. Most of the servers are very attentive, and we even have a usual waitress who knows our names and order by heart. Anyway, there is almost never a wait to get a table. If you're over 22 and just ordering margaritas, you can sit at the bar or get a table. Sitting at the bar may be better if you're just ordering drinks, so you don't look bad for not ordering food. Tumbleweed has great service, great food, and great frozen margaritas (they're not very strong, though). The food is usually above average, comes out in a fair amount of time, and is very reasonably priced, all of which depend on what you order. read more

Dinner at Tumbleweed. I had the breaded tenderloin sandwich with side of fries. The sandwich was mediocre at best. Took forever to get our food and they brought the wrong burrito to my son. They did correct the error fairly quickly. They do offer military discount. Waitress was ok but clearly overworked. They need to hire more wait staff although the slow response of getting the food was more a kitchen issue. I was not impressed and I think there are too many other places that are much better. Tumbleweed has changed their menu from years ago and especially the lunch menu. The items are 2x as expensive, and yes you get a lot but really more than you can eat. If you like BBQ ribs, they do have good ones, I personally do not like BBQ Ribs, but everyone I go with says they are fantastic. If they would bring their lunch menu back to affordable and give you less food, I would give this place another star. read more

I remember growing up how good Tumbleweed was. Every time I have visited in the past several years, it seems that the food quality continues to go downhill. They appear to have transitioned away from their original food vendor. Their delicious queso now has a slightly bitter taste. The best restaurant tortilla chips, have been replaced with these small flaky tasteless chips. My favorite menu item, the chicken chicken chimichanga, has less chicken, no chiles, too little pepper, and lacks the crispy crunch it once had. The potato skins are completely different and in no way any improvement whatsoever. It seems once the original owner retired, they started replacing the menu items with cheaper less appealing options. On the plus side, I never have to wait for a table any more. read more

I had the Tumbleweed salad with grilled chicken. It had little cut up onions on it which I wasn't expecting, but overall it was good and the lettuce was fresh. Our server was very friendly and kept on top of the drink refills. The bathrooms were terrible - out of 3 stalls only one locked and everything was dirty.
