He knew what he was getting himself into, but I don't think he expected what we found! Ruth, the owner, is the nicest owner of a yarn shop that I've ever met. I believe it was her cousin who welcomed us into the store. She also was unbelievably sweet and welcoming, and chatted with me about yarn and was excited because I was excited! Both women were very happy to chat about yarns, patterns, and helped me find something within my budget that would help feed the monster that is my knitting habit. I wish so much that I lived closer to Georgetown, because I'd never set foot in a commercial craft store again. She also does paint and sip, as well as sip and spin pottery classes for adults; and let me tell you, what she offers for the price is far superior to what I got in a similar pottery class in Seattle where I currently reside. She walks every person through the process in such a way that everyone learns something and each person ends up with a beautiful piece of pottery they can be proud of. It is so obvious that she loves what she does and her business success is apparent, because of it. You can mold clay or paint a ceramic, you can even do paintings easily! I did a plate & I'm not very clever with paints. It turned out great thanks to the owner Jennifer.
