This review is of my experience so far, because I have not gotten my shoes back yet! Unfortunately, that is the biggest reason why I have given them this rating... I mailed in 3 pairs of leather shoes (2 pair of riding boots and one pair of men's boots, valued at about $500) back in July 2014 and was advised by Chuck via email at the end of Oct. 2014 that my shoes would be ready to ship in mid-Nov. 2014... Here we are at the end of Jan. 2015 and no sign of my shoes anywhere. The worst part is that I have contacted them numerous times via email AND telephone (leaving messages because nobody picks up) and have not gotten a response back! I was under the assumption that maybe the business closed, but I don't think that is the case as their Facebook page is very active with pictures of new client shoes and posts from Chuck (the owner I'm guessing).
I am very disappointed with their customer service, it started out very good, but has just been terrible in recent months. I am beginning to think they probably lost my shoes and don't want to fess up to it... that is just speculation though...
If I hear back from them and get my shoes back, I will update this review.

I still have not heard from the owner directly (who I emailed and called prior to this review), instead, I see his reply to this review, I guess THAT got his attention.
In response to owners mention saying that I did not want to be contacted nor did I provide payment, is simply untrue. When they called to approve the work, I provided them with my Visa credit card number and was advised that I would not be charged until the work was done and the shoes were shipped. During the emails in-between, the owner never mentioned any issue with payment. Here is a copy of the email conversation from Chuck in Oct about the status of the shoes (this was the last time I was in contact with him)...

Why would Chuck advise me that they were "2 weeks out from being shipped" if he didn't even start the work? Why didn't he tell me there was an issue with payment? That could have easily been fixed with a phone call or email. Worst of all, why would he ignore subsequent emails and phone calls?
I just received notice from USPS that Chuck is sending my shoes back (he didn't bother contacting me directly, so he must he really bothered by this review.) I am really appalled by the business practices and lack of decent customer service. Tulsa Shoe Rebuilder's are completely at fault for this bad review. I could provide even more evidence against them, but the fact that he would turn around and blame the customer for his lack of communication tells me I don't have to. There is a huge disconnect somewhere in their shop and its a shame. If I could lower the amount of stars, I would.
It took months of NO COMMUNICATION and finally a bad public review to get the attention of this business owner. If I had not written this review, my shoes would probably still be sitting in their building somewhere, because Chuck obviously wasn't concerned about contacting me to let me know of any issues.

Thanks for all of your reply's to my "diatribe", I'm glad just to get some sort of response! I wish you would have taken the time to reply directly to my emails and calls, but I guess that is not your business style. Can you go ahead and erase my personal email from your response? I'm glad you pasted the August conversation, I just don't want my contact info shared publicly. :)
