After spending much time on the phone with my insurance company to find the Dentist i needed in my area or close. Dr Brar was the closest , (but not that close). My insurance company assured me I was fully covered for the whole procedure. When i showed up for my appointment they tried to tell me i was only covered for the extraction but not the bone graft or the implant, they wanted me to pay for them out of pocket which is costly. I advised them my insurance company set me up with them and said i am fully covered for all of it. I was uncomfortable with the look Dr Brar gave his assistant, they went ahead to start the extraction. I had a cracked molar that had to be pulled, sadly i suffer bone. loss so my teeth are not that stable already. I had two wisdom teeth that were tight in my gums that came out without a problem, didn't even realize it was pulled. Not this time, he had great difficulty pulling it out, literally felt like he was using a jack hammer breaking up my tooth, when it finally was over he did not put the bone graft in while my gum was open like the other dentist did with my wisdom tooth, instead he said he had to get approval should take about 5 days, 2 weeks go by they said they still didn't receive it. Now i have to spend more time calling my insurance company to see what the hold up is, turned out they did approve it. So i call back to let them know and his secretary tells me well, we're accepting your insurance for the extraction but not the bone graft or implant. Now i have to find another peridontist to finish the job. So shame on him, feel bad for any patient who actually believed them and paid out of pocket . I reported him, hopefully he gets dropped from our plan.. be aware of what your benefits cover, sorry Dr Brar that you couldn't scam this girl for more mone

First and foremost, during my last visit, two roaches crawled out when an assistant moved my chart. This is a medical office, and there should not be bugs anywhere near patient records or treatment areas. In my experience, the entire office appeared very dirty. The floors looked as though they had not been swept in months, the carpet was stained, several counters and machines were covered in dust, and the office smelled like mold and dirty carpet. The main dentist regularly ran one to two hours behind schedule. Dr.Glasser introduced himself as a professor, but I could not verify his claimed affiliation with Columbia. I checked the hospital's website and called directly, but no one I spoke with had heard of him. During my last procedure, dr.Glasser answered his phone twice while wearing the same gloves he had put on to treat me. He then attempted to continue working without changing them. Even more concerning, he tried to begin treating my daughter without putting on gloves after he had been in another treatment room. He also walked in carrying a coffee mug and took sips during my procedure. He tried to convince me that I needed a root canal and crown on a tooth that, according to another evaluation, did not even have a cavity. Dr.Renee, who is his daughter, frequently interrupted his work to ask him to check what she was doing. He had to stop my treatment several times to assist her, which was frustrating and made me uncomfortable. The way he spoke to her--and to other staff members--also seemed disrespectful. The tension throughout the office was noticeable. Staff members were often on their phones or appeared to avoid him, and I saw different assistants during nearly every visit. I will never return to this office or bring my children there again. If you choose to visit, I strongly recommend looking carefully at the condition of the office and deciding whether you feel comfortable with its cleanliness and infection-control practices.

I said why would I have you take x-rays if your not going to treat me? - He said, "Alright, well then", pushed his rolling chair and left the exam room. I didn't even see what he looked like. Although I know it was not the receptionists fault, when I said I cannot believe that the Dr. won't treat me, she said again your appointment was only for a consultation, and everyone in here is in pain. I went home in tears, in pain, made a few calls and found an endodontist that would treat me same day - He said that all root-canals are emergencies and should be treated at the time of the visit. That is why they are specialists, to fix what the dentist cannot do especially when they are in extreme pain.
