I often got text messages informing me of my appointment status, which included any important updates, so communication is very efficient in this office. The day of my appointment, I rang a doorbell for the door to unlock and then I went in. The lady at the front was very friendly and approachable. I did not have to wait long for my appointment, and the waiting room was very neat and well organized. The dentist that I had, Doctor NG, was very solid. I wouldn't describe him as a dentist with all too much personality or energy, but he was very thorough and skilled when taking care of my teeth, which included an examination of my x-rays, as well as cleaning and polishing my teeth. He even referred me to a list of periodontists because of how bad my gums were, which isn't surprising considering that this was my first time ever stepping foot at a dental office. When I was finished with my first initial appointment, I asked about cost, and the same lady clearly informed me about how much of my appointment my specific insurance plan covers, and that they would notify me ahead of time if I had to pay out of pocket. This once again shows her strength of communication and friendly customer service. I didn't get the chance to meet most of the other doctors that so many people speak highly about, but this was a very decent first visit, with communication and clarity being some particularly great parts about my appointment.

My first appointment for the bridge was on January 18. On this date, she worked on my teeth for 90minutes, said she cleaned and prepared the teeth for the bridge and put temporary crowns. On January 25th, I emailed her office asking if it was normal to have such pain, swollen left side of my face and inability to open my jaw. She replied I may need to see a root canal specialist. I called my old dentist and got a referral to the specialist. As I couldn't open my mouth there was nothing she could do except prescribe muscle relaxants. To date, I am in excruciating pain and still can't open my jaw wide and was told I have to see a TMJ specialist. There were repeated issues with insurance and predeterminations, and I often found myself acting as the go-between for the office and my insurance company. This was exhausting and not something a patient should have to manage. When I tried to discuss the billing issues with the manager, Anthony, I felt brushed off. I was told "we're too busy" and was not given clear answers or support in resolving the situation. According to my EOB, my patient responsibility was $600, which I paid in full. Months later, the office suddenly added another $343.50 to my account without any explanation. When I asked for details, I wasn't given a breakdown--only told I needed to pay or the balance could be sent to collections. This was very stressful and frustrating. In addition, similar to other reviews, My husband was also facing the "Laser Treatment" which they told us could only be done at the office and which is totally not covered by Insurance.
